amazing get away! great food, service and loved being with the monkeys!

What a paradise! Urraca is everything you'd want in a tropical eco lodge. The food is amazing, the water surrounding the island is calm and clear, and Francine (the owner) is lovely. We enjoyed kayaking around the island and of course the monkeys.

the place is stunning, remote, quiet and rustic. it is magical to have a whole mangrove island to yourself! there’s very few bugs, and the swimming is perfect right around the bungalows. being attached to a monkey sanctuary makes it AMAZING for animal lovers who like to get up close to rescued monkeys! this place is a perfect gem and I’ll be coming back!

Monkeys, food, location. This is the closest to paradise you can get. This place is unique. Francine is a great host, congrats to her for what she built.

Francine the owner of the place is a wonderful person who lives on an out of this world place. She is an amazing architect of her private paradise which she kindly shares

I would add one more ventilator to the room for hot nights

We could just live there. Francine is amazing. We will definately stay in touch with people we met there. All around couldn't ask for better stay in Bocas del Toro area.

I thought alot and found one thing. There might be those little soft chairs for the kayaks to enjoy them more.

What a unique experience and a piece of paradise! The entire place is built on a mangrove “island” on board walks in the middle of the ocean. The entire ecosystem is fascinating and the view is top notch. Service is outstanding and the two cooks make delicious meals. Oh the monkeys! They are so fascinating and you cannot get any similar interaction with them anywhere else. We definitely fell in love!! Experience it for yourself!

Nothing we didn’t like. But visitors should be aware ahead of visiting a somewhat remote island that is largely dependent on rain water and solar power. The water taxi ride from Isla Colon took 45 minutes on the choppy sea for us and cost $35 per person per direction in addition to lodging. Water and power were turned on and off without notice during our 2-day stay. But nothing we couldn’t manage.
