Christine is a wonderful host and the property is immaculate, highly recommend. We were only there for a weekend to visit our college student but loved the house and it’s convenient location to the college.

The yard and porch are beautiful! The fireplace with remote is great. Updated bath and shower and the beds are comfortable. Master has a nice walk out deck. The kitchen is stocked with the essentials to prepare family meals. We really enjoyed our stay. The home is listed as a 3 bedroom but it’s actually 2 bedrooms. There is a sleeper in the living room. We will book again.

More than we expected

This place is fabulous! It looks even better in person. It is spotless and updated in every way. It was a short drive to downtown Boone. We enjoyed sitting on the porch swing and sipping our coffee. Christine was very responsive for any questions. We’re hoping to book it again next time!

Great house, very well appointed kitchen, super clean and close to App State. The small personal touch gifting us a loaf of sourdough bread and fresh peach preserves was so kind. A nice unexpected surprise is always appreciated.

This property was perfect for our group. The 4 of us were celebrating a birthday and attending an AppState Football game. The house was easy to find, convenient to town, but felt like we were away from everything! We were able to Uber to and from the football game, no problem. The house was clean and spacious, we loved the large porch, and the bread from StickBoy Bakery was enjoyed by all

We loved everything about this place - from the ideal location, to the communication with the hosts, to the warm welcome to both us (Stick Boy bread and apple butter) and the dog (dog biscuits), to the front porch swing and rockers, to the large yard, to the comical signs in the bathrooms, to an overall relaxing stay. We look forward to returning!

A Welcome Basket with Apple Butter and Stick Boy Bread along with a House Guide, and tourist booklets were on the counter when we arrived. This is the most well equipped home we have stayed in. We have been visiting our App Student frequently over the last 4 years and have stayed in and around Boone in various sized homes from tiny houses to large cabins that can accommodate 10 people. This property has the largest driveway, the best towels and the biggest porch I have ever seen. I think my favorite feature was the remote control gas fireplace. That warmed me right up when we got back from our outdoor adventures. The owner reached out to see if we needed extra pots or pans or anything since it was Thanksgiving. I thought that was really sweet. The location of this home is great. We used Google Maps and found lots of back ways to get to places. We discovered neighborhoods that we did not know existed. The beds were comfortable, the pillows, blankets and towels were plentiful. We will definitely try to book this house again when we return to Boone.

We had a great getaway in Boone, and our host is a pro! The home was beyond our expectations, beautiful inside and out! Location is private yet close to everything. We felt so welcomed and at home here… I highly recommend, and we can’t wait to go back

If I could give a 10 star rating I would. We’ve stayed at so many rentals this is about the only place we’d pay to go stay at again. Layout was perfect. Single level and not a lot stairs. Only supplies we needed to buy was food we would cook. Exactly as described on the internet. Great location. Far enough away from the city but not far at all. Roads weren’t your typical mountain windy pray while you’re driving! Definitely see us again

What a great home. This house really allowed us to enjoy our long weekend vacation. Super quick to downtown and almost as fast to Tweetsie. The porch gave us great views of the fall leaves, and the kids enjoyed running around on the lawn. Honestly, this was the most comfortable pull-out bed I’ve ever slept on. Christine made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back.

Stayed for the weekend with another couple. Very clean, quiet, well appointed, convenient location with < $10 Uber to downtown Boone. Porch was a star but the entire home was great. Will absolutely consider another stay here the next time we are up for a game or to visit our son at App State.

This is a lovely home and very convenient to downtown Boone. It rained our entire stay and we were very thankful for the covered porch so that we could sit outside.

The property was great. Very nice stay and a super accommodating owner. I would definitely recommend this house.

Let me just start by saying that the pictures don't do the house justice. The place has an amazing front deck to have coffee (or wine), the kitchen is beautiful as well as the fireplace. The beds are very comfy and the reclining couches are fantastic. The house is secluded enough that we didn't hear anyone but very close to Boone (less than 10 min) and you get to Blowing Rock and Banner Elk in 20-25 min. I would recommend visiting them all since they are each great towns with their own character. The table in the kitchen looks small but was big enough for the 4 of us to have breakfast/lunch every day. Christine left us the most delicious peach jam and wonderful local bread! (Thank you!) The communication was top notch, not that we had issues but questions answered in under 5 minutes with a few polite questions to make sure everything was going well. If I'm ever back in Boone, this is the place I'd stay, we loved it.

My wife and I stayed here for a four-day weekend, visiting both Boone and Blowing Rock. Everything in the house felt new and fresh and was tastefully done. The home was nicely stocked for our arrival. And this is the cleanest rental we've ever stayed in. Photos in the listing are accurate. If anything, we felt the photos didn't entirely do the place justice. The porch is wonderful with so many seating options. The kitchen is very nice. Everything in the house is well labeled. I think my biggest question from the VRBO listing was how private the house is. It's in a neighborhood, but none of the other homes are close by (actually, we never laid eyes on any of the neighbors). The house sits at the convergence of two minor roads, but few cars came by. It's a very short drive to downtown Boone and not far to Blowing Rock either. Very convenient. A big thank you to Christine, who is truly an awesome host! I can't think of anything that would have made our stay better.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this home. The house was very clean, kitchen well stocked, and in a great location, and that porch was absolutely awesome! The property manager was easy to contact and even offered a location for some special pictures. We enjoyed a lovely gift of fresh local bread and jam, and look forward to visiting this property again. Many thanks for making our stay perfect.

This rental was everything and more we could ask for! The property is 3 minutes to a grocery store, and maybe 8 minutes into town. A Super convenient place to use as a hub for all your high country exploration! The front porch was where everyone congregated from coffee in the morning to dinner and drinks well into the late evening/night. The property as a whole is very quiet and secure for even the youngest! Our 16 month old was completely secure and LOVED playing with his trucks on the front porch all day long! The house has been very nicely remodeled recently so the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, appliances and furnishings, are all practically brand new, clean, comfortable and very well taken care of. Was like being at home. We have rented the same cabin multiple times a year for the past nearly 8 years and this will definitely be our first choice going forward! It’s definitely not a cabin in the woods, but the convenience, cleanliness, interior finishes and comforts make it in many ways better Especially for young families. Thanks again!
