The hotel is beautiful. It is also very centrally located to The Rocks area and maybe a block from the ferry/train stations. It an easy walk to lots of shopping, the harbor bridge, opera house and botanical gardens.

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of Sydney. Great customer service. Amazing bar and breakfast. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning a stay in Sydney!

Been a few years since I stayed at Intercontinental Sydney last. Feels like there's been some corner-cutting. The breakfast buffet isn't as good. The service has fallen off a bit.

Good hotel with lovey view but no option of a bathtub in the en-suite unless you book a suite. Service at bar (dinner off foyer) was slow.

Excellent service, beautiful decor, comfortable furnishings, delicious breakfast, exceptional concierge. It was our first visit but we’ll be back.

Basically, an excellent hotel in ideal location with links to the colonial history of Sydney. Room cleaning variable; switches in rooms not visible once lights are out. Permutations for lights on and off in room limited. Dining options limited

The system was down when we checked in so we couldn’t check in till 4pm an hour after our normal check in time. Room was nice and view was beautiful but the aircon was not cool enough and it got quite hot in the room. The rooftop bar was nice and views were amazing. Upon returning to the room we requested a bucket of ice but it took an hour and 5 phone calls to finally get the bucket of ice. I’d like to stay there again as the views and location were great but on the first time to stay there I did feel a bit let down by some of the service issues. Hope this feedback helps and can improve the service delivery for this venue.

Positives: Early check in was smooth. Armani the front staff was very professional and helpful. Bed was comfortable, swimming pool had a nice view, breakfast buffet service was delicious and good. Check out was good - they helped with my luggage and provided me with takeaway breakfast for my family. Negatives: The baby crib they provided was old and run down. I asked for a replacement and it didn't work properly. There was gum under the table (unsafe for my baby that grabs things). Housekeeping did not take out my trash properly 3x in 9 days (I had many dirty diapers). Engineering staff walked all over my bathroom and got footprints everywhere, so dirty especially I have kids. To make matters worse, I requested a wake up call at 4:45am on a Friday, but they called me on Thursday unnecessarily waking me. There were a lot of internal miscommunication among staff in this hotel. For a 5 star hotel, it was only for the name and decor, but the internal staff really needs improvement to serve their customers. The standards were overall very low and did not meet my expectations. I was lucky to be able to meet the General Manager and she was able to accommodate my needs. I hope they strive to make better improvements for future customers.

A lovely couple of days in Sydney at the Intercontinental Hotel. A fantastic location close to the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Recommended.

Great location, great view if you have the right room. Valet service is very nice and friendly. However, the soundproof of the room was mediocre. There's not much city noise but I can hear the gentlemen snoring at night from the next door. Shower water not strong nor hot enough. Some cleaning work can be done in some detailed areas, but only if you look closer otherwise I suppose usually people won't find the dirty area as easily as my picky eyes do.

Such a great location and lovely and helpful made the stay enjoyable. For the price the room was pretty small, though well set out. We had to ring housekeeping to get our room cleaned on our second day, this was after 3pm. We were advised that they had been busy, it took about 30mins for them to arrive and we went down to the lobby while they cleaned - not optimal when we just wanted to relax after walking around the city all day. Breakfast came free with our room and it was really delicious with good options. The set up of the buffet and seating is a bit odd and seems to make it hard for guests to get food or staff to do their job. Lovely hotel but I would not stay here again. There are so many hotel options that are just as good or better in this price range.

Great location- very close to main attractions - walking distance to Sydney Opera, Botanical garden, public library, parks. Amazing view from the rooftop bar.

Bridge view is splendid. Staff service is hospitable and efficient. There is even a lounge offered for rest while waiting for the room to be cleaned. Breakfast is good!

Very convenient: near from Circular Quay station

Very convenient location for sightseeing. Clean, quiet, comfortable. If you want to be really picky coffee/tea /provided but no spoons. Four people checked in but only 2 mugs. On request that was sorted.

Front desk was amazing from the time we checked in until we checked out.

Unfortunately not well organised - didn’t prepare our second room with the extra bed as ordered, even by 11pm when we returned from dinner after requesting the correction at 7pm when we identified the issue. Tried to double charge us with payment again at check in. Did not arrange the airport pickup we requested when we phoned ahead. Altogether not a great experience at The Intercontinental this year.

Breakfast staff could have been more efficient in letting people in to the empty tables. Coffee took a while to deliver and was luke warm 😟 otherwise a beautiful stay. Thank you for your work.
