Lovely staff, comfortable and warm. Bathroom was a little dirty

Staffordshire all v friendly. As a single lady I felt v safe and secure. Only niggle was the shower over the bath which was v fierce and not easily controlled. Would go back to stay again as I have family close by that I visit.

Very comfortable rooms. Staff very helpful and friendly. Only things to comment on were lack of big light in main area. Have to rely on window and two small bed lights. Also one of the plug sockets had come away from the wall. Breakfast was a bit pricey so we ended up going 3 miles down the round for something more affordable.

Our toilet seat came off & couldn’t be fixed as nobody available to fix it. The staff were very apologetic & offered to change the room, but as we were leaving the next day it wasn’t worth it.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, nice atmosphere in the bar and restaurant area.

Lovely helpful receptionist and nice rooms. The bath tub had a few stains in it upon arrival but the room was fairly nice and cosy. We did have a power cut while staying but likely out of the hotel’s control.

We had a great stay at the hotel for my husbands birthday. The room was lovely and a good size and the bed was so comfortable, I didn’t want to get out of it!! Everything was very clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had our evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was delicious both times. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable room, lovely friendly staff

lovelly place for a nights stay, we had been to the party in the park in leicester so needed an early check in, this wasnt a problem for the lady on reception , she was fantasic, polite and very helpful. We left our bags with her and when we got back to our rooms around midnight, our bags had been put into our room. great service, will use again if in this area. breakfast was also very good. we had a few drinks in the bar, the young lad serving was also very pleasant.

Booked 2 rooms for an overnight stay after Alton Towers before going to London. Food, service and check in were all great, no complaints at all, staff are all very friendly and helpful. Double room was ok, clean and tidy. Twin room for the boys though must not have been used in quite some time as the wall that the beds were against had cobwebs dangling from it and dust was clinging to it in clumps, wall felt quite sticky. There was an earwig crawling up the wall and a rentokil bug monitor between the beds. I appreciate that the building is old and they may have some damp issues but this room could definitely have been prepared better, the boys were a bit freaked out!!

Had a good 1 nights stay. A little disappointed that 2 food items we ordered were unavailable

We stayed there as it was the nearest hotel to a family party we had been invited to. The room was ok the bathroom could do with the woodwork being repainted. Nice comfy bed & nice fluffy towels. The bar/restaurant was fairly busy & some menu items were not available both evenings. The Sunday roast ran out by late afternoon. The staff although friendly seemed to lack direction at times & did not seem to work as efficiently as they could. Plates & glasses were not cleared from tables when they were finished with. This was particularly noticeable at breakfast. Also at breakfast the buffet seemed to be very low on fruit & yogurt & guests had to ask frequently for it to be topped up. On Sunday morning there were not enough tables laid for guests & it took staff longer to re lay tables as they hadn’t cleared them when they could have done. We did enjoy our stay but felt it could have been better.

Wish id found it earlier with all my trips to that part of the world. Definitely use again.

Clean and well maintained

Everything was good, and well managed. I didn’t know the room wasn’t air conditioned.

I travelled up from Cornwall for a business meeting. The lady on reception on my arrival was extremely helpful and welcoming. At my evening meal the waitress, although busy, had time for a chat with every table she served and the 2 women behind the bar had a chat with everyone. At breakfast despite a couple of "demanding" guests the young waitress kept them informed and had a smile and a chat with everyone. Although I was on business I would happily stay at this hotel if I was ever in the Leicester area for personal reasons. Really enjoyed my stay and a big plus after nearly 6 hours to get there the room had a bath with loads of hot water.

Room and bathroom require modernisation, but they were clean and staff were very good.

Loved the size of bed and crisp clean linen along with a bath! Food very good as was there for a family function. Staff were very accommodating d we all had a very enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Have stayed in this hotel before and very nice hotel. Staff are very friendly and place is spotless. Food is great and good prices.

PRETTY AND QUIET AREA, CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE ROOMS, WiFi needs to be better, you can never stay connected more than a minute

The overall stay was good but I do have to say that the manger on the night we found to be quite rude. There was evening entertainment on which was good but once he had finished at 10.55 we felt very pushed out of the bar. We was all having a lovely time but was then made to feel like children that were being sent to bed at 11.30 none of us was being disruptive or rude we are adults in our Forty's just singing and having laughs, however we was glared at buy the bar staff and the manger spoke to us like children sending us to bed and said if there was any noise from our rooms he would be knocking on and removing us. This was uncalled as like I stated none of us were rude or did anything wrong felt like we was at boot camp and being told of I was actually waiting to be told lights out in the rooms at midnight as that is how we was made to feel. We spent a lot of money within the hotel and even had a meal to then feel like right that's it go bed. Never have I ever stayed at a hotel and been made to feel like that to where I then dare not even leave the room to go out for a cigarette. The following morning the staff at breakfast were lovely but the food was not hot and for the price the full English breakfast was very small.

It was great nice room lovely food in the resturaunt Good servies very much enjoyed our stay.

Reasonable stay

Very pleasant stay at The Fieldhead Hotel which I stayed at while attending a friend's wedding. The staff were very helpful and even managed to get me logged on to their wifi when I was struggling. My room was spacious and clean and the restaurant and bar served very pleasant fare. I look forward to a future visit.
