Best hotel in the best location

We stay in the Fable every time we stay in Auckland. This is a fantastic place to stay.

Absolutely fab stay - staff were so lovely, facilities were in great condition and whole decor and ambiance of the hotel was amazing. Great location too! 10/10 would recommend ❤️

Mixed feelings about this hotel -- location is excellent -- right at the bottom of queen street and in the middle of restaurants and shops plus a short walk to ferry and trains. My initial room that I received was horrible -- it was old, worn, stank of mildew, and the heater vent was installed in the ceiling over the bed so I received a blast of hot air to the face all night long. But the hotel moved me immediately the following day when I complained, and the new room was 1000% percent better. Very clean and pleasant and comfortable.

Great location and lovely atmosphere with wonderful staff. Only drawback was the noise from buskers, but they tend to not stay out too late.

The front entrance is hiding between two retail entrances - make sure to look at the awning signs to find the entry! The parking is a little difficult, but if you contact the hotel in advance, you can find out where to meet the concierge for valet parking, if you don't want to worry about trying to park. The rooms were lovely, all staff were friendly and helpful, and I really enjoyed my stay.

Excellent hotel. Great beds, great location. Service was excellent.

Room was really lovely - spacious, clean and modern. Was disappointed with the standard of food for both room service and breakfast. Also seemed to be difficult to order room service - restaurant not picking up the phone after multiple calls and holding on for many minutes. Other than the food side of things, service was amazing and overall stay was really lovely.

Disappointing as is supposed to be five star. My husband and I have previously stayed before the hotel was renamed to Fable hotel. The room was underwhelming and the customer service was poor. I don’t think I will return to this hotel.

The fable is centrally located. The staff are lovely. The rooms are beautifully decorated. I would definitely stay again. For me the main issue was the cooks restaurant, is unfortunately expensive and there are better food options available within close distance. I found the continental breakfast was average at best.

Amazing amenities, excellent customer service.

Comfortable bed, spacious and had all amenities. Was a good stay. (Lots better then last time when I had a room above Fortlane)

An absolute delight! Beautifully presented, exceptional service. Excellent breakfast menu, and no objections to making a few adjustments to my order. Lovely coffee, and gorgeous T2 teapots in the room and on display in the restaurant. Will stay again!

I have stayed at Fable before and both times have had a wonderful stay. I was upgraded during check in. The staff are super friendly and helpful, I had an issue with my initial room which the staff sorted out quickly and put me in a different room that was delightful. The bed was soft and comfortable. The hotel provides you with ear buds as downtown Auckland can be a bit noisy at night - especially on the weekend. The bathroom felt luxurious and the water pressure was good.

Loved the staff so weloming and helpful. The beautiful tea cups. The bathrooms were beautifully designed. Just had high tea and the lovely waitress Aom was just a beautiful and made the experience lovely. Thanks Fable Auckland will definitely be back xx

We found the staff always helpful, and enjoy the premises hence the 2nd visit .Parking was not a point as we travel by train to Britomart which is handy and walking distance to the Ferries. The ambient noise was no good for sleep but you have no control of other's work or driving habits. We enjoyed our breakfast also.

Friendly and Professional Staff & a lovely place to stay

Always a Pleasure to stay at this amazing hotel, reception is always super accommodating and the welcome peach tea is to die for. If you eat in the restaurant make sure you get the platter! Its amazing. Rooms are classy, with a modern take on Edwardian manor homes. The bed is so luxurious you keep sinking for at least a minute after you lay down. Good quality tv, just make sure you ask for the pin and connect to the right network to cast. Valet parking ia available but i always park outside, rarley see a traffic warden and if yoi are unlucky the fine is only $40 compared to $50 to park ;)

Excellent hotel with friendly staff. The only downside is the dirty buildings surrounding the hotel.

Nice hotel well located

Was okay, very handy location. But just average. Let down by several long black hair in sink and shower, paper on floor by wardrobe. Check in was strange arrived, an hour after stated check in time and guy managing my check in seemed to think I should be jumping with joy that my room was ready for me... Unfortunately they gave me a room at the rear of the property over Fortlane with a nightclub outside my window... Sleep what sleep?... well from 3.30am until 6am counts I guess... They provide earplugs. Have you tried sleeping wearing them ? I don't recommend you do. Have stayed here before and had a room towards Queen street side, was no issue with noise. Staying here is fine, but if they give you a room overlooking Fortlane get it changed straight, away as you won't get any sleep... Often stay in CBD so used to some noise just not a nightclub outside.the window....
