This was our first time at Castaway Island Resort. It is beautiful place. The staff are outstanding. We enjoyed the waterfront activities and we were grateful for Paul’s help. It was just my wife and me there. We enjoyed running into the kids club on occasion. The Wednesday evening Fiji night was lots of fun. We loved the staff dancing and singing. We loved the singing as we arrived and were leaving. Thank you for a very memorable 3 nights!

At the heart of the resort, bartenders Big Joe and Evi craft expertly mixed cocktails with flair and charm, while Maria and the sundowner staff provided impeccable service with genuine smiles, creating the perfect ambiance for relaxation. Dining at the resort was a delight thanks to Agi and Bubu at the restaurant, whose heart warming smiles, happy attitude and wonderful baby entertaining skills are to be commended, on top of serving delectable meals and catering to our vegetarian diet with creativity and finesse. The talented chefs deserve special mention for their dedication in crafting flavorful vegetarian dishes that delighted our taste buds every day. The resort's amenities catered to every member of the family, with the kids' pool providing endless entertainment for our little one, and the pristine beaches inviting us to indulge in the blissful barefoot lifestyle of the island. Overall, our stay at the Castaway Resort was nothing short of magical, thanks to the outstanding staff, breathtaking surroundings, and the laid-back island vibe that left us longing to return.

Very friendly people! Lots of staff. Incredible beach. Fantastic room. Nice extra touches. Food and drink was expensive. The snorkelling was incredible. A trigger fish bit us. They should post a warning of what they look like and to avoid them. Again,the snorkelling is beautiful! We had a glimps of a shark. Live music at meals was beautiful. We talked to families and the kids club was very popular. $10 for tea or coffee at meals but free in the room. Water was filtered and clean. Safe to drink. Very good buffet. The restaurants are not as advertised. One is just a different seating area from the rest and it’s too windy to use. All drinks were extremely expensive. Only unfriendly staff was the man at pool bar. Being sang to on and off the island was fun and memorable. Definitely want to go back. It’s paradise. The small round shells are very unique. There were no mosquitoes but as we pulled of we seen them spray a huge fog over everything. This seemed unhealthy. I wonder if they wash everything enough after this.

Our time on castaway was the most amazing experience and we didn't want to leave. The island is beautiful, there are lots of activities to keep you entertained if you wish or you can relax and soak up the sun and the wonderful hospitality. All the staff were helpful, kind and attentive. The entertainment at nights was varied and engaging. Imani and Rabbit's signing was always welcome, with a great range of songs and always smiling. I had an amazing massage that I can highly recommend. Our bure was clean and very comfortable, with daily maintenance and its location on the beach was perfect. Anyone looking for an island holiday should consider castaway island. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Amazing sunsets, adventure walks, snorkeling, water sports, tennis and what looked like a great kids club (we didn't use this as we don't have small children).

Castaway is a very special place. The people, location and resort are simply wonderful. Nothing is too hard and their ability to cater to dietary requirements was exemplary. Whether you want to do nothing but relax or fill your days with snorkelling, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, tennis, diving or fishing it’s all available. The bure’s are great and have everything you need. The Castaway family are very special and they treat you like family.

Amazing tropical vacation destination. The snorkeling was pretty awesome. The staff is super friendly and will try to accommodate for all your needs. Highly recommend the resort.

The room is very basic and they don’t even have water in the room for free. Everything from the only shop is over price. The island is beautiful but room is too small to be called 2 bedrooms.

Best snorkelling around the reef, a lot of free water activities available. There’s no wifi, no TV and no phone in the room.

Beach life

What a wonderful place. The people are so friendly you come away feeling like you are leaving your family. The buffet was amazing, compliments to the chef. The stone fired pizza was so yum. My favourtie fiji island so far.

I can’t fault this place, it was beautiful. We will definitely go back. Food, staff, service, rooms, everything was amazing.

We were impressed with the kid’s club which provides activities up to 10 PM. Usually our kids don’t want to go, but here it’s more like camp at this hotel. All the kids go and the activities are fun and engaging. They made new friends and did things like camp fire dance party on the beach for the older kids. The snorkeling is right off shore and you can kayak, sail and snorkel right from the beach. We had a beach bure and the kids could wake up and play in the sand and swim right out our door. We will definitely be back and next time bring a bunch of friends.

What a beautiful spot to connect with family and enjoy the amazing Fijian hospitality. A beautiful place with enough comforts whilst maintaining a unique feel. The staff were all so welcoming, we really loved our time. My daughter tried her first kids club (4year old) and was raving out it. We do hope we'll be back soon

Warm, kind and extremely hospitable staff. Always friendly and willing to go above and beyond to meet our needs. The bure's are stunning and better than the photos. Location is very nice, lots to see on and off the island. We visited during the rainy season and didn't get too many wet days. Our children had so much fun and made lots of friends. The activites desk was phenomenal and there's so much for everyone to do. Thank you so much Castaways for making our visit spectacular, we hope to return soon.

Thanks to Ben and the boat shed team who were skilled. Never felt the need for media or wifi when the world in Castaway was relaxing and peaceful.

We went through a cat 2 hurricane while in the island. A real test of the management and staff. They were superb. Really appreciate their care and the speed with which they restored service.

Great Island lovely staff really make you feel at home. We were there while the cyclone was happening and we had to be evacuated which was such a shame, would of loved to spend the week at this great island

Beautiful island and great service while on the property. Their communication beforehand could be improved. Also, would be helpful if it was more front-facing how family-oriented the resort is.

We loved everything about this property. It's so clean and homely. You feel relaxed and in island mode as soon as you step off the boat. The staff are so so friendly and lovely but very professional in their jobs as well. They truly treat you like family. The facilities are beautifully maintained from the pools to the gardens. The food is fantastic. And the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. Can't say a bad thing about Castaway!

Staff all looked so happy! very friendly, they all got on with another and had fun too plus were professional, food at the 1880 was OK but the rest of the food in other restaurants were all great, even for my vegetarian wife.

Castaway Island is a warm, friendly place, kept scrupulously clean by people who genuinely care about the island. There is an abundance of activities and we never wanted for something to do. The food was delicious and varied enough to keep us interested.
