The room was very clean, but the bathroom had a funny smell from the very beginning which the fan couldn't get rid of. OK for a short stay

I had a comfortable night here - it's basic but the rooms had decor and finish that is unique and not like a standard chain motel. It made a refreshing change. It's convenient for the town and lots of eating places nearby. Front desk staff were friendly.

Room was nice, clean, affordable and in a convenient location with plenty of food and shopping options within walking distance. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room smelled like it had been doused with chemicals to cover up the obvious smoke odors. Tub has mold growing in caulking. The carpet was so dirty it was sticky. People screaming obscenities in the middle of the night in adjacent rooms. This was my second stay here. First stay was better. Room was cleaner. The owners are nice. If I’d made a big deal about the problems they’d likely have made an effort to get me another room. Place seemed pretty full tho.

The property was not as good as expected. TV color was way off, the sink only had hot water on both side, you had to pull really really hard on the shower to get it to turn on. Toilet paper holder was broken. Visually the room looked good but the issues listed above are not cosmetic but functional. Staff was nice and checkin was easy but archaic. We only stayed one night so we could deal with the issues but if staying longer would be uncomfortable.

This motel works if you just need a place to sleep. Nothing fancy. Everything works. Rooms are dated. Area around the motel seemed sketchy, by Bend standards anyway. Lucy’s tacos was awesome and just across the street.

Both front desk people we spoke with were very polite, kind, friendly and helpful. Room we had was clean and comfortable. Had a fridge and microwave. Price was reasonable for a motel of this type.

An average motel close to shops and restaurants. Comfortable and ok for an overnight stop.

Very poor WiFi. Office personel not helpful on anything. Handyman tried to get us online but could not. Neighboring renter had an hour or more scary fight at 2: AM, and no one came to see if there was a real problem.

The rooms were large and quiet, even had a stove and oven. Liked that we could walk to some breweries. I had a hard time understanding them, bad English, but they were every nice. I'd stay there again.

Toilet reeked of urine, shower curtain smelled so bad of body order i skipped the shower. Housekeepers standing outside my door, yaking loudly, woke me up way before i wanted to.

It was exactly what I was looking for, a quiet and clean place to spend the night. The people running the place were also very friendly. I would definitely stay here again next time I roll through Bend.

I debated on the number of stars I would leave as a review the entire time I was staying at motel west. At first glance, you open the door to a room that is bleak although smelled clean. Little did i know.. Right away, I noticed the bathroom floor was filthy all around the tub. The corners of the bathroom was actually gross. The bathtub wasnt draining properly either, standing in the standing shower water was really gross. The sheets on the bed were stained, but smelled like washed bleach. The television was simply a remote control with local channels, sorta.. The picture was so grainy you couldn't see your show, although it was just mainly news or p.B.S. The 2nd day, the remote control actually stopped working, and the TV gave me a notification that it was 324 days overdue from updating. So I couldn't watch any more t.v. There was one outlet on the bedside lamp to plug anything into. There was no other lighting besides one bedside lamp and a ceiling light. I stayed in it king size room and There was no lamp for the other side of the bed or plugs to charge anything. The amenities and the layout of the room were actually really poor. They have a standard key still for the door which was a little unsettling, And you're responsible for the single copy, they have. There was no two keys allowed to us at all. I did find the hotel owners very polite and nice. And their vending machine out front doesn't work for water at a $1.50 bottle. Don't worry.They sell water for $2.00 each.

It was horrible. The air conditioner didn’t work too well and the room had a smell.

Sam at the front desk was very accommodating when I asked to use a hose to wash my dusty mountain bike. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower head was a bit old but everything else in the room was nice.

It is a motel so don't expect fancy. But it was clean and quiet and all the locks worked. Easy walk to downtown Bend.

The staff is very friendly! The rooms definitely need to be updated and given a little more attention and repair. The linens had some staining. Although not in the best location, we were able to walk to some restaurants. For the price, we anticipated an average motel and that’s just what it is.

Old-style motel. Nicely decorated and large room. Comfortable beds. Staff was pleasant and tried to help when we couldn’t operate the tv. Oh well, one night without tv isn’t a big deal.

The gentleman who checked me in was very nice. I’d not been to Bend before so it was nice to check it out.

Bed was hard. Building was old. Budget motel.

Was triple charged for my room. Was an issue with hotels.com’s payment so they took my card info in order to get a room. They said they wouldn’t charge it if they figured it out with hotels.com. With that they charged it twice that night “but they were just pending and would go away once figured out with hotels.com”. I get it, business needs to protect themselves. Checked in with them the following day and it all cleared with hotels.com but the two pending transaction went through anyway and they won’t rectify it.

Old and tacky. Didn't have proper receipt when we checked in. It was someone else's. Ice machine was just barely able to give ice. Room sink was square and on an angle - very odd and difficult to use.

Easy check In

I thought the stay was nice. Couldn’t hear any outside noise. Everything appeared to clean.

Motel West is not a luxury stay. But we had a very comfortable bed, a great shower, a fridge and microwave in the room, friendly hosts, and a clean and quiet room. Its a 5 minute drive to lots of nice downtown restaurants and shopping. Its $100 cheaper than the other choices. Old school remodeled without a fancy lobby or pool etc, and at the moment, the neighborhood is not good for walking. But we felt safe in the motel. Very pleased with our choice and would stay here again.
