Fantastic room, great views, on its own floor with a roof terrace, we adored everything about the place, really clean, great location, room furnishings and bathroom were lovely, lots of vintage pieces

When you look at the hotel from the outside you will think it’s abandoned, since it’s falling apart, but when you come in you are greeted with a very nice hotel. The small elevator took us up to the second floor and the room we had was super big with a very big bathroom. We had a double bed and a sofa bed with a lot of space to move around. The signed wasn’t the most comfortable but I slept well in it anyway.
This hotel is very close to both the train station, the bus station and the People Mover. Just around the corner is also the Vaporetto stop.
The foto that I have attached is the view from our room at like 5 in the morning when the small boats starts to arrive with the Landry, food etc to the nearby hotels and restaurants.

It is close to station. The check in is somewhere else. Check your email before reaching there to know where to check in. Check in was fast for us.The rooms were clean and nice . Bed was good for adults but kids was sofa bed

Liked: location, room, bathroom, air conditioning
Dislike: check in a bit weird but really easy

We stayed here for a couple of days during our trip to Italy. Its super close to the train station, and vwry walkable to major sight seeing areas. Some great food options nearby with the supermarket not too far away.

Had a lovely secluded roof top terrace overlooking a canal. Room was clean and large, and the bathroom was refreshing. At the base of the building there's a couple different restaurants to dine at serving great options. Had A/C and excellent location

This property was nicely located where it was close to the train station to make arrival and departure convenient and also close enough to what we wanted to see while we were in town. Located along a quiet canal. The check in process (may just be for after hours) was at another location near the train station.

The location of hotel is great, a short walk to St Marks and other sites. Local bars and restaurants good and reasonably priced. Our large room on the top floor, accessed by lift was lovely with all you need/expect. A kettle would have been nice though. Check in was another hotel a short walk away, which we were aware of and was not a problem. The outside of our hotel looked a little shabby but inside was fine.

After reading some of the negative reviews, we wondered if we had made the right choice. Upon entering our room and seeing the building's location, we were pleasantly pleased. No, it's not the Conrad, but a pleasant, clean room in the heart of Venice with two comfortable beds for my wife, myself, and our grandson at a good price.

Check-in happens at a hotel a half-mile away. All this is a super big pain if you have a family or lots of bags. You have to walk this distance, because it's Venice, there are no cars.

Nice clean boutique. The check im and the staff are in a property 10 min away. No staff on property which is a hassle

The staff were super friendly and helpful from helping me get my luggage to my room to getting me an early check in.
Thank you so much for having me stay with you guys.
I look forward to returning but this time with only my carry-on suitcase

TLDR: sort of fishy setup, checked in at one hotel and sent to the actual hotel with a paper map.
I booked this hotel because I wanted a place close to the train station to stay the night before our flight the next morning. Online, it said that the hotel was a four minute walk from the train station. After paying for the room, I got an email telling me that I would be checking in at a different hotel than the one I was staying in, but the check-in location was the original address I booked under. When we checked in, it became obvious that the managing company was "running" what looked like four separate hotels out of the same lobby, so people would check in there and be sent across the city with a map to where they were actually staying. It was a fifteen minute walk to our actual hotel with our suitcases (which wasn't the end of the world, just not what I was planning on). Basically, I think this hotel is lying online about their location next to the train station to get people to book with them.
The rooms were nice and clean, with a working elevator and AC.

We had a wonderful stay at Ca’ Dei Polo. It’s not a hotel per say. Check in was at another hotel and the front desk was excellent. They had upgraded us to a suite which sounded lovely after having a long, hot tiring day trying to figure out how to get to Venice after our train was cancelled. Ca’dei Polo was very close to the train station in a very nice location. From the outside the building looks neglected but it seemed to us that renovations were in the works. It helped that I had a picture as the name plate beside the gated door was small. We guessed there might be 6 guest rooms as it was small but very lovely with such charm and character. Small elevator and/or wide staircase made getting out bags up very easy. Our suite was a large room with a king bed and large hideabed couch. Renovated marble bathroom with a huge shower, air conditioning and facing a lovely courtyard making it quiet in the evening. We had a couple of small requests after our first night and the maid was so helpful and easily solved our issues. We ate breakfast every morning just around the corner in the square. Everything so walkable. Loved being on the quieter side of the grand canal. Close to the train and bus station and the water buses to Piazza San Marco, Rialto bridge and Murano. Rooftop sitting area was perfect in the evening after exploring all day. Excellent value for the price!

LIKE MANY HOTELS IN ITALY THEY DIDN'T DO WHAT I ASKED AND BOOKED FOR,i e. PROVIDE 3 SEPARATE BEDS.EVEN WHEN EMPHASIZED IN THE ADDITIONAL REQUEST BOX WE WERE GIVEN A DOUBLE AND A SINGLE BED.ALTHOUGH THEY DID PUT IT RIGHT EVENTUALLY IT INVOLVED HANGING AROUND WAITING FOR THE ROOM TO BE SORTED OUT.

We had a relly pleasant stay. When we asked for a Twin room upon arrival they made it possible. The check in was at another hotel where we could leave our luggage while we started to explore the city.

I liked that it was placed in the heart of Venezia but far enough of the most crowded area. So you were close to all the places to visit but still not be surrounded by thousands of people. I liked the fact that it was 20 min away by walking from the piazza San Marco. The gondola rides in this area was way more romantic than in the commercial part.

The rooftop had a great view of the cannel. Rooms are good size but the lobby was so dark, one guest tripped & fell badly. The front entrance of the hotel looked terrible, we thought the place was burned down when we first arrived!
It needs serious renovation & painting.

We had a wonderful stay at Ca’ Dei Polo. The convenient location just beyond the bridge from the train station made for a short trek with our luggage. The room was spacious and provided a lovely view of the canals. The receptionist at check-in (located at Hotel Agli Artisti) was incredibly kind and provided great info ahead of our stay in Venice.

We returned because we had liked the architecture and location.
We were disappointed to find a notice that the key was blocks and bridges away. No notice was sent, nor about that breakfast was not available, not even a coffee machine.
We noticed that the structure was not maintained, to the point that our neighbor got locked into the bathroom and after calling out, a phone call was made and eventually a man came who sawed the door. It's an unacceptable way to satisfy guests and build a returning clientele or a referral base.

Not for everone, no staff at property, check in at hotel by train station for access. That said, lovely room, very quiet, great location on canal near many restaurants, excellent walkable location. No food on site, fine breakfast cafe 20 meters from front door.

Extremely difficult to find and enter the unattended property. Extremely difficult to find the attended sister property 20 minute walk away. At one point the only entrance/exit was broken and I could not exit which was a dangerous situation. Understanding the verbal instructions over the phone was an impossible challenge if you do not speak Italian. The location in gorgeous Venice was excellent.

Ca dei polo has no signs at all. When you come here, note that you are greeted only by a thick iron gate door. The only way we knew this was Ca De Polo after going back and forth numerous times was because of the number 203. You check in at a hotel super far (7-10
Min walk) away. There is no one here to help if you need housekeeping, extra anything. I asked for extra towels and she mentioned they change them every day. The room is decently comfortable but there is no obvious control for heating or cooling. We opened the window at night because it was warm and got bit by mosquitoes. There is no coffee maker in the room nor coffee for guests. They did not replace the shower gel when cleaning the room the next day. Its location is the one saving grace as it’s located next to a coffee shop, the grand canal (its on a side street) and a great cichetti place.

I booked the wrong dates and neither expedia nor the hotel let me change anything. Very bad management. I went personally to the hotel and they didn't solve anything, I called expedia several times and they didn't even answer me. I was robbed. I will never use expedia again. A scam.

Do not stay here. This isn’t an actual “hotel”, aka there’s no staff on site to check you in (I had to walk across the Grand Canal to another hotel just to get my keys which was a total surprise and major inconvenience). It’s basically a guesthouse with none of the typical hotel amenities you might expect. Was also up all night battling mosquitos!

Check-in is at another hotel 10 minutes away. We weren't aware since Expedia did not provide the hotel with our contact information (Expedia fault, not hotel). Other than that, the stay was great. We were upgraded to a huge suite room with views of the canal, which was great. The location was also perfect, very close to the train station and the bus station, as well as close to many attractions.
Overall, we would stay again as it was great value for the price !
