We were looking for a quiet retreat and found it. Great location, beautiful grounds overlooking back bay and nature preserve and a friendly staff. Walking distance to several dining options, cycling distance to Moro bay and well located for all the central coast towns.

Location excellent

This was our first stay at the Back Bay Inn. We will be back. The hotel has clean rooms at a fair price. The inn is surrounded by a lovely garden and offers a view of the back bay of Morro Bay. They have a wine hour in the afternoon and they provide a voucher for morning coffee/breakfast at the small business next to the hotel. I would have liked tea and cocoa available as an alternative to coffee or wine. They have some pet friendly rooms--many dogs being walked in the neighborhood. Great deli across the street.

Comfortable, great views, quiet and relaxing. Family friendly with Access to a few restaurants and water for paddle boarding or kayaking. Nice, friendly staff and businesses near by.

The room and location was very immaculate and comfortable. Loved everything about this place, great staff! Will be revisiting.

What I liked about the property was that it was calm and relaxing. They gave you a voucher for breakfast, so you could choose what you wanted. The view from my room was awesome.

Awesome place!

We received a warm welcome and felt very relaxed here, the view of the bay was awesome and there were many options nearby for food and drinks.

Place was clean and in great condition, the staff was very cordial and pleasant. Very much liked the location. All around great experience.

Beautiful location!

I loved the bay view and being able to sit out on the lawn by the water. All the staff were very friendly. Our bayview room was very clean. It was great to be able to walk to so many different restaurants with a market and bar also just up the street. It's close to Morro Bay for anyone wanting to head to the beach there. There are walking trails close as well. We started 4 nights and never got bored. It was so peaceful and relaxing. If you want off the beaten tourist path, this is definitely the place. Everyone is so dog friendly. This is a place with mostly locals, which is our favorite part.

We stayed in the Cabana and found it very nice and quite and comfortable. Gardens are lovely and outdoor seating was abundant and easy to relax. Location is very convenient to restaurants and activities in the area.

We love to visit this property but are used to our memory foam beds at home. The mattress was much too hard for our old backs. But the views are beautiful here!

This is a gem on the bay! We stopped there on our way back to the Bay Area from San Diego. What a surprise! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the staff very friendly and the room was spacious although we didn’t have a view but we were traveling with our dog and were very happy they accepted pets (for $30 per night). The bathroom could use an update tho. The new restaurant Mirazur recently opened on the grounds offers delicious options for a nice dinner. The vouchers at the Nautical Bean for breakfast were also a tasty surprise. We truly enjoyed walking along the bay after a long drive and the next day before leaving. We will definitely stop there again and would recommend this beautiful hotel.

This place is awesome. The grounds are beautiful. The staff are excellent. Walking distance to quite a few restaurants/brewerys,bars. I highly recommend Back Bay Inn.
