The property was fantastic - spectacular views of the water and fun nautical theme throughout the property. Sally and Ralph were great hosts and provided a well stocked kitchen and all the comforts of home.

A fabulous apartment with the most wonderful views. Spacious and well equipped with everything you could need provided. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend. The views are just awesome.

Best place ever! Will definitely come back! Absolutely gorgeous views and a perfect little house. Super clean, has everything you would need to cook for yourself & small family. Easy access to dining & not far from Abel Tasman Natl park. Worth every cent for a stay.. highly recommend!

Fantastic apartment, everything you could ask for. Unbelievable views through the huge picture window in the living room. Fantastic bedroom with even more views and the bathroom was very roomy and well set out. We loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone.

The Wheelhouse Inn has an amazing location and amazing views towards the sea. There are a lot of thoughtful touches and the apartment is well-equipped. The love and care of the owners can be seen in everything. Also had a few chats with Ralph who is absolutely charming and willing to help in anyway. The cons: It's as well maintained and clean as an older apartment can but still it smells old, it looks old, it feels old. Also the beds were very worn, soggy and wobbly. Also missing a dishwasher which meant that to be on the safe side you needed to wash everything before using it (previously guests wash in a hurry on a check out day). It was nice but not luxury as it's branded and for the price it would need a complete upgrade.Don't get me wrong, it is a nice and extremely well-run and well-maintained place with lovely hosts! Just a bit disappointed with the high expectations from the raving reviews and highish price.

very hard to find. never met the owners, the key was in the door and instructions to leave it there when we left. The view was magnificent but inside was warm (facing west to the sun) and no A/C. We had three people and I did not realize one bed was the sofabed in the living room. Stayed only one night so did not get to try the outside patio or the other amenities. More like your own cabin than a motel room so that part was nice.

View was absolutely fantastic. You open the door and just say 'Wow!'. Layout was a little weird with shower on the lower level and bedroom on third. We loved it, tho. Changed dining plans to cook in and enjoy the deck and view. It was lovely waking up to blue skies and water.

Super comfortable apartment, with great facilities for our 3day mid-NZ-trip. Wonderful views, just the right distance from town to enjoy tranquility, yet walkable to the restaurants/bars of Nelson (longer via coast, but more pit stops!)

Fantastic views. Worth staying there just for that. Great access to various parts of Nelson, shops and surrounding attractions. Spacious living area. Only negative was the lack of good curtains or blinds to block out sun so kids could sleep during daylight hours. Made us get up early though - which wasn't such a bad thing with so much that we wanted to do over our 4 day stay.

Wonderful unit that has real character; this will be our favorite accommodation on this trip. The view is amazing and there are some great amenities including washer dryer and barbecue on the deck.

We stayed at Crow’s Nest for two nights. I really love this home! The balcony and the master bedroom offer an incredible view! You can enjoy starry night sky too if you’re lucky enough.
The house is really comfortable and adequately heated. I love all the decorations put up by the owner! And all the small details too, including the folder of recommended things to do and place go eat in Nelson!
Kitchen is adequately equipped with all you need for cooking. Check in and out is hassle free too!
