We had a great stay. It was quiet and convenient. The room was clean but noticed the floors were dirty. Our socks were black after walking around her room however we brought flip flops so we were those in the room. My daughter enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. We enjoyed the square, the beach the trail and took a day trip to Bayfield.

The Cedar Lodge was a perfect place to stay having biked part of the G to G trail. The room was clean and nicely appointed. Staff were friendly and suggested a few nice places to have dinner. We would definitely consider this motel for another stay.

Great place to stay for the annual Celtic Feztival. Cheerful friendly helpful staff. Great big room. Great big king bed. Lovely bathroom shower etc. Woulf definitely recommend. Would definitely return

Husband was going up wooden stairs and got a really serious splinter in top of his hand into his vein. Really ruined the stay.

We recently stayed at this motel for 2 nts. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room as it is an older motel. Easy check in and staff was friendly. We were able to walk to the downtown square and enjoy some free entertainment at the park. Had a fun time at Paddy O’Neils. Breakfast at Steve and Mary’s. Delicious. Be sure to check out Culberts fir delicious baked goods.

Room (41) was like Harry Potters Closet, under the stairs to second floor. No view and noisy due to people going up and down the stairs. It rained heavily during the night and that also pounded on the stairs.

They don’t clean your room daily with fresh towels nor make the beds- was told by front desk that guests don’t like having staff make their beds. I was shocked. Had to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper. The room had an odd odour like old stale cigarette smoke.

This is a budget motel and I guess you get what you pay for. The room was OK (we were in room 39) but the AC was noisy and when we turned it off and opened the window at night, the traffic noise is really bad until after midnight. The bathroom is impossibly narrow and needs someplace to put toiletries -- a shelf would make a huge difference. The swimming pool was 90-93 degrees F, so it was like swimming in a hot bath. Couldn't put my face in it. The pool building was very hot as a result. A different room might have been better but ours was kinda "meh."

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Cedar Lodge. We didn’t use the pool area at all but our room was modern, clean, well-stocked and front desk staff were polite. My husband found everything very comfortable. Comfort of beds/pillows were ok - not the greatest for me - but I have specific needs/preferences as to firmness of the mattress and pillows. Parking was easy and the location is perfect if you’re going to be in and around Goderich and area. In all, it was a very good stay again and we would definitely go back.
My only suggestion to the management would be to install a secure mailbox for key drop off.
