Stayed here many times over the last few decades I believe the same owner still owns very nice people

The location is nice. It’s walking distance to Castillo de San Marcos, St. George St, Flagler College and Lightner Museum, which save money on parkings. The hotel is average and modern at the same time. The floors are tiles and the showers are spacious and fully tiled. However it’s wall unit a/c.

Older motel best feature is the location, across the bridge from downtown St Augustine.

The reviews are correct. Very clean and quiet. Everything you need for an economical stay in this beautiful city.

This property is a motel. I loved the convenience of my truck right outside of my door for loading and safety. The grounds were extremely clean and I felt safe at night sitting in the courtyard watching the street life. You can walk to the Lions Bridge and the lighthouse is literally right down the street. This is an older property with less opulent furnishings but plenty of savings, safety and peace of mind. Great location for a quick stop to shower and rest. Rooms include fridge and microwave which also helped with food costs!! I would absolutely recommend with the understanding that this place is for convenience not luxury,

I was worried about how far it would be to walk across the bridge (traveled without a car) and it really is only about a ten-minute walk to old town st. Augustine. I traveled alone and felt very safe. There were many restaurants close by, though I never tried any of them. I also walked to the lighthouse which was maybe 20 minutes. I actually loved crossing the bridge every day and returning to the hotel, it was a nice closure, with the lions, the threshold guardians protecting my way. The staff was kind and supportive. My room was clean and I had everything I needed, though i could have used more closet space (no closet really, just a hanging rod pretty short). but that certainly did not detract. Also the air-conditioning was excellent! A great experience for a less expensive hotel, I highly recommend!

I selected the Budget Inn for a one night stay so I could go to a concert at the St. Augustine Amphitheater. The hotel was close to the venue. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and I didn't have to pay for a bunch of amenities I wasn't going to use. I slept great and had a nice hot shower in the morning. Perfect for what I needed.

I like the location it’s near everything I need

So the name is The Budget Inn right? It’s not a Hilton but guess what? It might as well be because anyone who visits St. Augustine only comes back to their hotel for sleep and shower. The rest of the time is spent outside exploring if you’re not, then by all means get a Hilton! Anyway, this was a total Schitt’s Creek experience, and I mean that with a whole lot of love behind it. There is even a very neat and well-dressed and well-spoken gentleman who owns it!! He was a solid class act! He immediately switched me to a room with two beds at the last minute - no problem and came right over to quickly fix the input on our TV. The entire room and everything in it was spotless and the bedding was super comfortable. The price was unbelievable! It is located 3 driving minutes from downtown and you could’ve walked it if you are in moderately decent health. There was a seafood place located right nearby, and we plan to try it the next time we stay at The Budget Inn, because we will absolutely be staying there multiple times I hope while my son continues his undergraduate life at Flagler.

Newly remodeled rooms and bathrooms. Staff was very courteous and friendly. The conversion of the old pool to a sitting area works amazingly with the hotel. Will definitely stay again

It was our second time staying at Budget Inn. It’s an older motel but well kept. The rooms are clean and comfortable and just a short walk over the bridge to Old Town. Plenty of great dining options walkable too. If you’re in town for a short stay just book it. It’s a safe and clean place to sleep. I’ll always check here first for short visits.

The office staff and the maintenance crew were very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and our room was ready but they made sure the floor was dry for us so it would be safe.

The only good thing about this place is its location. The rooms are old, bathroom shower with mold on walls, old bathroom, noise street. Definitely a 5/10

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the little hotel was, considering the cost of the rooms. Great value!

Not a bad room but beds have soft edges making it hard to sit on and bathroom is extremely small. Other than that the location and price are good for visiting the old town area.

The bed was comfortable & the room was clean. Easily walkable to St Augustine’s historic district. The noise from the road could get loud, but once I was asleep I didn’t hear it
