We had a memorable stay at the Hotel Prisenhof. Centrally located in the heart of Gronigen, there were numerous shops, restaurants and points of interest all within walking distance. Our room was on the upper floor of what we learned was previously a monastery. It had a lovely view of the garden and was very spacious, although we wished it had more natural light. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. If you are driving, a tip is to park overnight at the Forum Gronigen, only a few minutes walk away. Another plus is the hotel is dog-friendly (for an additional fee).

The hotel is located on very short walking distance of the central square of Groningen. Also, museums, shops, restaurants and theatres are within short walking distance.
The staff is professional and helpful. We had a suite. It was clean and well decorated.
There is only one, but important, remark to be made. Although the staff during breakfast was very kind and giving perfect service, we were disappointed about the breakfast. The hotel chooses to serve a la carte in stead of a buffet. Which is fine, as long as the hotel provides a menu. Now we just had to mention some items and the rest was improvised by the staff. There was no menu to choose from. This reduced the hotel to a kind of Bed & Breakfast. If you give a breakfast a la carte you should at least give a proper menu. For us this is a reason not to return.
The four stars for staff and service is due to the breakfast and not due to the staff. They should have five stars.

This was one of the loveliest hotels. The staff was kind, and friendly. My mom was injured and they were super sweet to her and helpful.
The hotel and the surrounding area was beautiful. We had a great view of the gardens and will definitely book again.

Staff was so friendly, helpful and accomodating. Hotel is beautiful, historic, safe and very clean. Location is perfect for walking the downtown area. Definitely will make this my go to hotel when I return to Groningen!

We loved our stay at Hotel Prinsenhof! The staff are absolutely wonderful and welcoming. The room was lovely with great amenities and a fabulous view. The location is fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel!

The check in was very professional and fast and our pet was accepted without any issues.
The room was exquisite, tasteful, clean and just as advertised. It is just a wonderful location for exploring Groningen and staying for a business trip. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

This place is absolutely amazing. The location is perfect. It's right in the middle of town, but in a quiet little nook of the city. The service is great and the rooms are clean and spacious. You can walk to all the restaurants and bars Groningen has to offer, but I would highly recommend to have dinner at the hotel. We had a 5 course meal with wine pairing and besides it being delicious, it was truly a piece of art. I've been in Groningen many times and have stayed in many different places, but this one is the best and has the best location. It's quite expensive, but it's worth it

The property Is a magnificently restored building in the most peaceful place in the heart of Groningen next to the martini toren. Architecturally it is a gem. The employees are very professional

Enjoyed the stay. Room was in the new part of the hotel. Nicely designed. Shame the speaker in the room had an out of date connection - maybe there was Bluetooth??? And could have had a nicer view. Bathtub and bath salts available were appreciated! Breakfast was tasty, and nice restaurant space. And in a lovely corner of Binnenstad.

From the moment you see this gorgeous hotel, you will start to feel special. You leave your car at the gate, walk through a little patio area where people are enjoying their afternoon drinks and you are warmly welcomed by the excellent reception staff who also valet park your car. We had a Superior room and it was spotlessly clean, spacious, it overlooked the previously mentioned patio and had a big bathroom with Acqua di Parma toiletries in lovely big bottles. The bed was huge and really comfy. There were complimentary drinks and snacks in the mini-bar and the hotel is smack in the middle of everything so you can walk everywhere. Great restaurants, patio cafés and bars are all close by but the best restaurants in Groningen are actually in the hotel itself. The cherry on the top of the cake: the lovely gardens at the back of the hotel. We had a little walk round them and there is a tea house if you fancy a cuppa.

Great hotel and great staff. The only quible would be for light sleepers...there is a cathedral across the square tgat rings blls all night. Use ear plugs and it's ok.

Attention to detail and very helpful front desk staff taking my bags up to my room is the besy customer hotel service gets! You cannot stay in Groningen anywhere else fullstop! Tbank you for never letting me down! A+

The Hotel Prinsenhof was a wonderful hotel. We were in town for business but would definitely choose the hotel again for business or PLEASURE! It was a great place to stay!
