Everything was perfect

Hill View is a beautiful property! Close to the lake but also far enough away from the crowds. The 2 bedroom family suite was excellent. The new ac units kept the place very comfortable. Towel service was prompt and easy. The outside patio space was awesome. Beautiful mountain views and I could see the lake as I sat at the table and read a book. Seems like a great place to come with a group, but also felt private enough for a relaxing vacation!

The staff was awesome. Very friendly and accommodating. I love the fact that its a pet friendly facility. I loved its and will love to come back.

Cute spot with a nice view of the mountains surrounding Lake George from the cottage deck. Naturally social distant with cottages and their own deck with tables. Wonderful amenities with a pool, miniature golf and a bonfire pit close to one another. I would come back.

Small dated cottages with hard beds. Uneventful until the final night and we were woken up by a mouse in the room. Blocked off the hole it came out of and went to bed. Mentioned it in the morning to the staff and they just offered apologizes. My wife called the next day and spoke with someone who would speak to the owners and call her right back. She called back a few days later after not hearing back and left a message. No call back and I attempted to call multiple times and left multiple messages. Called back repeatedly one day until I got someone and stated that if I didnt get a response within a day I would bring this issue up through other channels. No call back but an email stating they would refund that single evening, obviously didnt want to talk to me and just wanted me to go away. Horrible customer service; obviously not well maintained cottages and mice not recommended, there are plenty of other places to stay in that area.

Staff was always friendly and available. Cottages were comfortable. Will be back next year!

This was a get away for me and my boys, ages 2 and 6. While I was more critical of the condition of some things, to my boys, it was the best trip ever. I loved that each room had a porch. I loved that I could grill outside and could see my boys playing on the playground at all times. The pool was great, kiddie pool was an awesome bonus. My kids loved the ping pong and mini golf and I loved the bonfire at night. The beach was a little walk, but totally nice, everyone was very friendly, and the kids had a blast. I chose to go off peak and I would absolutely do it again. No lines at amusement parks, discounted hotels and parks, no crowded streets are parking. I plan on staying at Hill View again and again.

I booked this motel because of the sale price. It stated there was limited maid service so I called to find out what that meant. I was told by Expedia that meant they wouldnt change the sheets for my 3 day stay but would make the beds and bring clean towels. Well our room was never touched by anyone during our stay. Also our room seemed like it was unfinished. Whole in the wall behind the TV and missing tiles in the bathroom. Also the bathroom floor was not clean and towels had a musty smell to them. Not sure I would pay full price to stay here again.

Really enjoy ourselves would definitely return - only regret is you can only use the kayaks, etc during business hours.

The place needs updating. Mattresses hard. Pillows flat. place has no towels. we when out to bought them. This was not stated when i place my reservation. the kitchen had lots of missing plates and glasses and utensil Over priced for what you get. Beware

Otherwise, it was a very nice facility in general.The cabin itself was pleasant, with a few drawbacks. The stove top was extremely outdated and impossible to regulate, and one morning it made our fire alarm go off with all the smoke it generated. But besides the kitchen area, everything else was lovely.

It was not a bad place for the price. The beds were very uncomfortable. The location and view was nice. Nothing fancy but great for a little get away if you like camping like accommodations. I love that they are pet friendly!

Very happy with my stay. Not happy with hotels.com. When I booked I was told about check in and check out times but not that the office closes at 8:00p.m. Yes it says it on the site but if you felt it important enough to tell me about check in and check out I think office closing earlier than hotel offices would be equally if not more important. Will never deal with hotels.com again. And my name is Edward

It was good. The only thing that was bad was the bathroom was small. They are going to be renovating in the next few years.

This is the 3rd time me and my family stay at the hill view cottages, and we love it. The owners and the personal in the are very nice. The only complain i have is that the water in the shower is weak(no pressure) in some of the room, but deff will keep staying here..

Staff was friendly, but couldnt see them unless we visited the office across the street. They didnt change towels and provide coffee. There was no hair dryer or extra blankets and the room was cold in the night. Also lighting was very bad so we had to keep the bathroom door open to read travel guide books.

This might be a nice summer getaway for a family with kids on a tight budget. The facilities are old and worn, although maintained and clean they are not particularly comfortable or functional, and are definitely not well suited for a fall trip.

The photos are misleading, as the hotel cottages are not on the lake, the walk is much further than indicated, and you have to cross a main road. The cottages are dated and in need of some work, and the mattresses are not comfortable. The view was nice, but that is about it. The mini-golf course was a disaster, and even though the pool was closed, there were chairs overturned all over the deck which was unsightly. There was water on the floor in the bathroom and the bottom of the bathroom door was warped and cracked. The room was really cold upon arival and it took a long time to get warm. I am not going to waste my time going over the other issues. Bottom line, I would not stay there again.
