I have stayed in this hotel in 2012,2015 and 2017..Was a gem at that point. This time in 2022, it has degraded a lot, possibly a post-covid situation, but I would not recommend this hotel to anyone at this point...The staff were irresponsible with a dont care attitude and cleanliness was terrible. I think it has been years since they have done some maintenance to the rooms/hotel and bathrooms. Anyone who wishes to get some infection can definitely stay in this hotel.

Good location near to all major places and metro

The staff are wonderful, the meals definitely worth having. The cleaning staff start banging doors and talking loudly in the hall ways very early each morning. Don't count on sleeping in.

Overall, this was an excellent choice. The place is clean top to bottom, the service is excellent and the restaurant is great for breakfast and dinners. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The halls have interesting creative information about herbs and other healing things on the walls. Our only problem was with the WiFi being rather poor. My laptop would not connect at all. The staff IT person was in our room so often, we considered adopting him. He finally got it to work. Would we stay here again? Definitely!

Helpful staff. Reasonably good breakfast. Not that many alternatives to the hotel for eating nearby. Room generally nice, but bathroom a little tired

Hotel was ok. Loval area is great with spencer and Express mall within walking distance. Breakfast was good with a wide range offered. Unfortunately, that was all good about it. We were initially given a room with no window. We had to wait for second night to get a different room. The second room was fine but the lights in the room kept flicking even with the switch turned off. This really affected our sleep and made the stay unpleasant.

The staffs are friendly and helpful. Food was nice only need to improve in Menu as the past 7 days I was eating the same meals but Plus point- is Tasty food. Rooms was clean. Also its very near ( approx. 5 mins walk) to 2 shopping malls. I will definitely comeback to the same hotel if I happen to visit Chennai.

If you are going to Chennai just for shopping then the hotel is far from T. NAGAR .

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. It was an oasis of calm in a frenetic environment of clearing up after the cyclone, dealing with demonetisation and the excitement and crowds of the Chennai test match. Well done India ; a really talented team. The restaurant staff were helpful and friendly, Bappa especially, and the food very good.

It was a very comfortable stay and wonderful and courteous staff

Overall a good stay in La Woods, breakfast was excellent and included in the price. The room was clean and well appointed, no windows in the room though so it can be disorienting. FabIndia and other stores are within walking distance, and staff is helpful when you need directions or a recommendation for a place to go.

Very nice hotel for the price. The only thing that really needed changing was the bed. It was so hard that it hurt my hips. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast buffet was good. Neighborhood was very convenient for shopping and restaurants.

The road the hotel is located on is not well known, but the taxi driver asked around and we arrived. My room was a good size, the layout made it spacious compared to a room I stayed in on a different floor later. The bed was large and comfy, but it would have been nice to have the sheets changed once over my stay. The sheets could also be updated, they were getting soft. Cups were not clean. The bathroom has hot water and a walk-in shower with a door, so no wet bathrooms. However, there was mildew in the corners and no bleach or disinfectant was used in the toilet, sink or shower. The rooms were only swept and mopped. It was easy to book additional nights at the desk and the hotel was kind enough to look after most of my luggage when I went for a tour. The room I stayed in after I returned, I'm not sure that the sheets had been changed from the previous guest, but it was just one night more so I couldn't be bothered asking. This is a general problem with hotels across India with not having fresh and crisp sheets, as well as not using cleaning products on a daily basis. Breakfast options were repetitive, maybe some different fruits and more continental options like cheese and yoghurt. They will make omelettes on request. The highlight of my stay was participating in a prayer ceremony for a festival, I liked that they invited guests to get involved. Low point was being charged for an additional night when I asked for a late check-out, but this was corrected. Safe for solo women

Really good stylish hotel, limited selection in restaurant, but good quality food. I didn't tried massage, but my female friend said that it was really weird experience for westerner, because it was full body, and super oily Indian type of massage.
