Our stay was nothing short than amazing. Barend and Iris were very welcoming indeed, and they helped us prepare for our visit. Before we arrived, I asked Barend for a place where I can taste local cheese and he gave me a very good suggestion, and while we are there my wife asked Iris for a farm where we can pick our own fruits, next morning Iris gave us a couple of suggestions that she googled during the night. The area is very quiet, and the view is amazing. It is only a 5 minutes drive from the old City, Barend gave us 3 detailed maps of the city, the old city and the area nearby. We got a room with a terrace in the garden, and we used to park our car inside next to the terrace. The breakfast was amazing, with a selection of cheese, local made Jams, croissant and french bread, scrambled eggs, orange juice and fruit water, Tea and coffee, fruits ( watermelon, melon, apples, grapes and pears) and finally Fruit yogurt.

The owners were exceptionally kind and wonderful to talk with. They offered a lot of insight to the area. And finally, the views from the hotel are quite stunning

The hosts really put effort to make our visit wonderful, and the breakfast was just awesome (even for us who need gluten-free food). The room was comfortable, and the only downside was the master bed which were too soft for our comfort (due to some back problems), but others might feel otherwise or even find it luxurious, because it was a good bed. Parking was easy and we were given keys to come in late after our dinner.

The owners were so well organised and helpful with ideas and maps for visits and recommended restaurants in the town, the Cite and the local area.Breakfast was of the highest quality. The views were amazing and we had a very relaxed and comfortable stay. Would highly recommend.

My family and I stayed at Les Balcons de Maragon overnight and enjoyed our hosts and the beautiful location immensely. BJ and his wife were perfect hosts, waited for us to arrive although we were behind schedule, and prepared a marvelous breakfast for us the next morning. The view of the Pyrenees from the backyard is incredible.

It's all about the view at the breakfast tables! And the pool! Wow- what a way to start the day. The hosts were very kind too which set the tone for our wonderful short stay in Carcassone. A great place to stay if you have a car. It's a short drive into town.

Clean room and nice view from garden.

This is an unusually comfortable and attractive property, whose owners are pleasant, helpful and interesting to get to know. The rooms are well-equipped, clean and comfortable. I would give this place the highest possible overall rating but for the fact that the photographs suggest an exceptional view (which was the reason I booked there), and the property certainly has an exceptional view, but our room had none nor did the spaces available to us as guests. To be fair, the owners did share their view at breakfast, which was excellent.

The owners, BJ and Iris, were so friendly and efficient, yet not intrusive. We were asked what time we wanted breakfast and it was ready at that time. They offered suggestions on places of interest and restaurants. The view from the breakfast area was stunning and the rooms were spacious, offering a very comfortable king size bed but also extras like a direct USB connection for charging the phone.
