Perfect location for where I needed in the cbd. A little noisy at night but probably because my room faced the main road, not too much of an issue! Great room and very friendly staff!

Just a normal room. A door to the bathroom cannot be closed as the sliding door is tilted. I am not sure if that is intentionally set in that way.

Cost too much for the small room- very average- i should of looked elsewhere. We had to go downstairs to get milk for our coffee as they had run out of milk to put in room fridge.

A great find in bustling Haymarket. Double glazed windows meant it was quiet and the room was well- appointed. The only negative is that there is no lift after the 2nd floor. Not sure how elderly people with luggage would go in that situation, especially as customers aren’t informed until they check-in

Convenient location, easy public transport access. Great place easy checking in. Clean and simple to use. Although staff is 24/7 there was no one at the checkout waited 20 minutes, no one showed so I left my swipe card at the front desk with a note stating room number and name, then I left as I did not want to miss my plane.

Very good for price I paid

Been there multiple times, the first time tried to charge me extra when I was checked out, the reason was my dogs lost a lot of fur on the carpet, which was ridiculous,even i booked ultimo courtyard room? I put a dog pads to cover almost half the room, how can the carpet have so much fur on it? so the hotel does not accept dogs that lose fur? Secondly, I already put a note when I booked the hotel saying that please make sure the room and courtyard are clean as we saw the cockroaches before, but this time happened again, cockroaches on the bed and toilet, and so many flies, so disgusting and disappointing.

Very clean, great staff and very helpful. Streets outside hotel a bit grubby, plenty of reasonable quality cuisine nearby with a good choice of Asian and Australian food. Night roadworks nearby. did not help with our sleep last night

This was a great hotel to stay at. The single room I occupied was clean, serviceable and comfortable. I didn't mind that the room was on the small side of things given the above comments and contrary to reviews I had read, it was quiet. It's convenient location to Central station and great restaurants guarantees I would stay there again in the future. Forgot to mention the reception staff who were professional and friendly. Good job! Thank you.

Great location

Good location. No dislikes,

At approximately 1:30am the fire alarm was set off and we had to evacuate the building. No apologies were given by staff for the disturbance and our sleep was interrupted. We had to stand out on the street at 1:30am for around 10 minutes. Once we were all allowed back in there was no explanation for the disruption and no apology.

There was a 3 inch drop off between the room and living room. Same dark carpet. Need to be careful. There’s nothing to mark the drop off. I actually fell entering transition. I was told that other people have fallen in that same place. Need to put a different color carpet in the room or some kind of break in the room to let people know there’s a drop off, besides that property was fine and staff was great!

Great location, rooms are always clean. Comfortable beds. Staff are great, friendly and helpful. Pedro helped Me out with earlier check-in made arrival much easier.

Great location for walking distance to food, shopping and sites…

This would be a great base for landing in Sydney except the super awful perfume used in the building. My luggage stinks now to the point I have to put it outside at my new place to stay. Otherwise clean and has a nice style. Too bad for stinking it up for no good reason.

Receptionists were lovely. No issues with the rooms. Great hotel, very accommodating with large rooms, would go back there again.

This property is excellent value for money. It is easy to access, has very close public transport and fantastic shopping and dining options directly opposite the location. The staff a wonderful and treat all guests with dignity and respect and a very helpful with information relating to the area and public transport. A wonderful stay and the rooms are in immaculate condition. Have stayed here on many occasions and will definitely stay here again.

Room was pleasant but the beds could of been made better

The Ultimo was a lovely place that had the character of an old building with all the modern facilities of a new build. We loved the quality of the fittings, linen and general cleanliness. Thank you.

During my stay at The Ultimo Sydney, I was pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to a spacious room. The hotel's attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction were evident. The room was stylishly furnished, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I had a delightful experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

Whether this is a good or bad choice depends on what you are after. It is centrally located close to transport, the staff are exceptionally helpful, and the rooms are clean. If you are passing through Sydney and need to be close to transport, it an ok choice. The hotel has very limited facilities, lacks a restaurant and the room layout left a lot to be desired. It is a good three star traveller's hotel. There are better places to stay in central Sydney for the same money, unless proximity to transport is essential.

Old market building converted into a hotel. All the rooms are old market stores or storage areas. Expect quirky! Rooms may be a little on the smaller side but this cannot be helped. They more than make up for this with character. Despite being in a busy area the room we had was quiet. We didn't even hear the karoke bar below. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic. Walkable to Central with Light Rail stops nearby. Chinatown is one minute walk away. Loads of great restaurants and bars nearby.
