Magical place by the lake

Clean room and property. Beautiful view. GREAT food and drink right on the property. Very friendly staff and owners. We definitely will be back.

This place was great. Super clean, very friendly people. They let us check in early. The food was great in the restaurant, the drinks were great at the bar. And fishing right off the dock.

The location was great. Fun atmosphere but the room was clean and newer it was still not up to date. Needs a clean comfortable bed that you feel comfortable snuggling in. The room felt like a efficiency apartment

The Beachcomber is very well situated. Chris checked us in and he was delightful. The room was comfortable and clean. Only issue is that we could hear the conversation in the next room. That aside, we would stay there again.

Friendly staff met us at the car to check us in - we could park right in front of what I thought was our room as there are only 6 units RIGHT on the road. We had room #3/king suite which looked like it had a bump out in the b ack (rooms are over the restaurant, which was not open while we were there). Room has been updated and was extremely clean but furniture was old and drab, in need of replacing or just discarding for sleek smaller furniture to maximize space. Not sure if we needed to use the pull out couch how anyone could use bathroom. We were not there for the 'resort' which is basically an area in front of lake with a bar and tables with umbrellas, it was just home base as we explored the area around Lake Ontario and visit a friend in the area. Really, nothing objectionable, room was clean and we had what we needed - refrigerator, coffee maker, clean bathroom, small shower. Oh - water doesn't get hot quickly and apparently if restaurant is open, water pressure could be an issue.

Was a great find! Very clean, host was very polite. Will stay again, restaurant, and bar had outstanding food. Wait staff were kind and helpful.

Clean room, excellent staff, beautiful view

This is a great place to stay if you are just visiting for the weekend. We stayed for a wedding but the bar area is great. Food was delicious here too.

The staff was great. This place is not what it is advertised to be.i never would have reserved and paid the price i did had i known it was not what is advertised.the beach is not a beach. No where to lounge and hang out. Defiantly can not swim its dangerous with the boat docks being right there people coming in and out on boats constantly. It said onlinethe beach front bar was open it didnt state that you couldnt eat inside and had to eat on plastic picnic tables in the heat. Website stated there was beach volleyball and beach activities there was none. If this is all due to covid it should clearly be stated on website before you reserve and pay. Its also on a maim highway with almost no parking. I wanted my money refunded so i could go somewhere else but that was not an option.

Staff here is excellent, very welcoming and cheerful. The view is terrific, from the beach as well as from the room. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the people there, even though I was there early in the season and the restaurant had not yet opened up. The food from the bar grill was OK, a bit too greasy but tasted good. I ended up using an inflatable mattress on the floor, which was very uncomfortable and deflated during the night; a better option would be either a roll-away bed with real mattress, or one of those foam camp mattresses.

The location was nice but I was glad it wasn’t the height of summer. I’m sure it’s load and crazy with the bats and music. The bed was very squeeky and the heater loud, but the room had everything you need. Great for singles or couples who like the bustle of beach party life in the summer

Loved the live band on the beach. Room needs updating. Full bed not Queen. Tiny shower.

I picked this hotel after reading reviews, and needing to find a place for SUNY Geneseo orientation. If you want peace and quiet, you wont get it here. Because there is a cabana and people playing loud music, and motorcycles starting up etc. Its not that bad if you have the air conditioner on to muffle the noise. The rooms were clean but the bed was not that comfortable. If felt if I didnt stay towards the middle, the sides would collapse. But it wasnt bad. The cable tv did not work right, I had to find someone to help me figure it out. I know it is a known problem in the room I was in because the people seemed to know about it. Even after it was fixed, I decided to leave it on 24/7 so I wouldnt have to go through that whole process with the cable box but it must have been on a timer because each time I did that, it was shut off by the time I came back. So very frustrating to have to do that with the cable box. Yes, they have a coffee maker and accessories, real mugs, but no coffee packets. So I had to go out at 5:00 in the morning to find a store to buy a can of coffee. So make sure you bring your own coffee. The only other down side is the walls are beyond paper thin, and the couple next to me were so loud and arguing etc. Even them just talking on a normal level I could hear everything. Other than those minor complaints, everything else was fine. The rooms were clean, the staff were helpful and nice, and the location was good for going to the school.

This is an older property and the rooms have outdated amenities but overall the rooms are comfortable and kept up nicely. I think the cost is a little expensive for what you get which is close proximity to Conesus lake.

Staff is very rude! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone!

I stayed here while I was at a conference nearby so didn't get to take advantage of the setting as I was away all day during my stay, but it is amazing. I was there during peak leaf-peeping season and the view out my window over the lake was spectacular. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly. It's in a somewhat remote area and you should be prepared for the possibility that you will not have cell service (not necessarily a bad thing!). The free wi-fi is better than I have found in many higher-end hotels.

If you plan to stay here,bring your own hair dryer as one is not provided. Room otherwise was fine.
