The location is quite good, with a view of the river. Within walking distance to old town. Amenities are basic, matching the price paid for. No issue with cleanliness.

The hotel is fine but not the staff. Lacking of basic amenity like hair dryer is a surprise for me. It took 3 calls and 1 hour later to receive it via reception counter. Was charged twice for the hotel bill as well. Have to call Expedia to settle the bill. Inconsistent customer service where they agreed to allow me for late checkout at 1pm. 12.30pm called me to checkout. Upon checkout, I passed the cards to the reception who is happened to be the duty manager. Process my checkout halfway through, he decided to pass my checkout process to his staff and I have to wait for the staff to process all over again. And the duty manager continues with his phone.

Needed just one night to rest before flying off the next morning. Room was new and clean which was the best part. Service was on par and private transport was easy to locate and pick me up.

Most staffs are friendly and helpful. Lobby look nice and decent but unfortunately the room is bad. It is not well lit. It’s dark that you can do reading. The toilet is badly stained and basin is clogged. Room is dusty. Water dispenser is outside the room - 1 unit per floor so u have to walk out to get drinking water.

Returned visit. Doorman is as Friendly as ever. However the room give this time looks a bit more tired. Sheets and towel still smells washed but there is a baby cockroach playing hide and seek in the toilet.

Reception during check in was frosty. But room is clean and sheets and towel smells washed. Good initiative on providing water cooler on each floor to reduce wastage of plastic drinking bottles. Just hope that the filters in those coolers are routinely replaced.

Great sized room. The room was clean. The staff are nice... Wonderful location and the river view was breathtaking..! :)

The are cockroach(s) in the the room and sound proof are quite back and lack of facilities and parking is very inconvenient. Near to waterfront is only thing good.

The room is new and very clean. The view of Sarawak River and landmarks from the room is spectacular.

My room was not cleaned properly by the house keeping. Not sure why but overall the stay was great.

Staffs are very friendly helpful and courteous. There was a small issue of having a faulty adjoining bedroom door (our side cannot be close nor lock). Spoke to the receptionist Ms. Maslena. She immediately changed our room and even offered us an upgrade. She personally came to the executive room with us to mKe sure that everything is Good. Thank you very much. Furthermore, my husband mistook the Sky Lounge of 17th floor for the Executive Lounge. He had a beer and informed me that the beer in the ‘executive lounge had to be paid for’. I thought that was strange. Spoke to the manager in charge of the Sky Lounge. She very kindly insisted that we DO NOT have to pay for the beer when I wanted to pay. Later, the hotel manager, Mr. Roslan, contacted me and also insist that due to the misunderstanding of the Sky Lounge that my husband was shown to when he asked for the Executive Lounge, the beer if on the house. Truth is, we are Japanese and my husband’s spoken English is pretty bad. The young man at concierge was also very helpful with our luggages. Helped me sort our my mobile phone problem too. Unfortunately we only stayed for 2 Nights. Not to mention the earlier unfortunate problems, the Riverside Majestic Hotel, Astana Wing, is a beautiful, quiet and good hotel. Excellent services all thru. Good choice of breakfast: western, Chinese, Malaysian, noodle station and egg station. Will most certainly come back again.
