I like the behaviour of person managing property and location was as per our expectation.

They charged us a little more but we hoped for it so all good on that part.

The Saffron is a gem of a hotel. Arrived at midnight by train and were picked up and given food by cheery staff. Everything was clean, comfortable and cosy. The location inside the fort is amazing, along with the views… The owner, Raj, is very helpful but there is no pressure for tours.

Que el dueño me quiso vender a toda costa el safari de camellos,y como no quisimos se ofendió , me maltrató y me dijo q yo era la agresiva .me fui con una taquicardia horrible.,.no lo recomiendo bajo ningún concepto y cuando nos levantamos la habitación q nos dieron pasaba de 1400 Rupias a 2500 rupias. O sea un mentiroso. Y nos pusieron en esa habitación porq las otras 2 q habíamos reservado tenían un tremendo olor a humedad q era irrespirable. Peor no hay

Not hotel fault but taxi they booked for us was 1 hour late, really spoilt the stay as we had wanted to take photos at sunrise and missed it.

Tolle Lage innerhalb der schmalen Gassen oben im Fort. Zimmer in einer Bastion der Festung. Blick herunter auf die Stadt. Kostenloser Pick-up vom Bus hat super geklappt. Wurden trotz vorangeschrittener Zeit noch vom ‚Chef‘ zum Restaurant eines Bekannten geführt. Im der Unterkunft arbeiten derzeit 2 Nepalesen. Einer von ihnen ist sehr freundlich und überaus bemüht und hilfsbereit- wenn auch die Kommunikation schwierig ist. Das große ‚Familienzimmer‘ ist super-schön.

Die Dachterrasse könnte ein schöner Ort sein, gäbe es Schatten. Die Kopfkissen sind… besser man schaut garnicht erst unter den Bezug (ist aber in Indien für Unterkünfte dieser Preisklasse (leider) normal). Auch im Schrank oder den Nischen müsste zuerst sauber gemacht werden, bevor man Kleidung ablegt. Bestimmt bekommt man aber etwas zum Reinigen. Wir haben unsere Sachen einfach in den Rucksäcken gelassen. Bezahlung nur Cash! (keine Karten, nicht einmal UPI). Wichtig das vorher zu wissen, da es in der Festung offenbar nur 1 Geldautomaten gibt (der häufig leer ist).

We liked the hospitality of the property. Especially the receptionist. He addressed all our needs. We're happy with the stay.

The Saffron has one of the best views in all of Jaiselmer at the top of the fort. I would sit up there of an evening and enjoy the beautiful views. The rooms were well priced and very comfortable. The owner Raj ensured I had a great stay.

I loved its location inside the fort. my room was lovely & spacious with a comfy bed & nice hot shower. The pick up from the bus station was also very much appreciated.

The owner picked us up from the train station - he showed us where to have breakfast and offered to take us around the fort. He could not have been more accommodating. It really is a gem of a place and the photos really are a true reflection of the property.

The room was rustic and cosy, with an amazing fort view over the city. The desert overnight safari they arranged was also spectacular - a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Special shout out to Ilyas who helped us out with everything we needed.

They were so kind to pick us up from the train station at 1:30am when we arrived and were accommodating throughout our stay, especially Matu (thanks again for everything!). We also booked a camel safari in the desert which was also a surreal experience and definitely excellent value for money. Location is inside Jaisalmer Fort, making it easy to reach all there is to see in this beautiful place. 12/10 if possible!!!

I had a very good time. The stuff was great and very welcoming. The rooms are nicely done and very comfortable to stay in. They have a perfect rooftop for the sunset. I will definitely come back.

This is absolutely the best place to stay in Jaisalmer! Their service exceeded my expectations. The staff is so friendly and helpful, willing to help with just anything I asked for and offering even more. They offered a free pick-up from the busstation, helped with booking my next trip, booked a wonderful camel-safari for me and gave me a room to take a shower after the safari without extra charge. The location is also amazing: inside the fort in a quiet alley with a nice roof terrace to watch the sunset!

NOTHING. NEVER STAY THERE. WORSE PLACE I STAYED IN INDIA.

It cannot be considered a Guesthouse. It is all so improvised, for big part of the day nobody is there. The place in general, as well as its terrace, are bad maintained and dirty, I asked for clean sheets (as they were used and dirty at check-in) and a towel. The sheets were handed-in at 9.30 pm as the “manager” supposedly was in the dessert. He never brought the towel for me so I couldn’t get my shower. Even when the main manager was nice with me and invited me a chai in other place trying to sell me a trip to the dessert, his young brother Rahoul -who he put in charge of Saffron while he was I don’t know where- really screwed it up. And plus he was rude with me when claimed why sheets were not coming, saying (“you are not my parents” -textual-). REALLY, NEVER EVER STAY THERE. CHEAPER AND BETTER PLACES INSIDE THE FORT WHERE YOU CAN STAY.
