Quick overnight that did not go well. Awakened in the middle of the night to another guest coming in... had we not had our safety latch flipped he'd been in our room! We then had to explain to front desk via phone that we'd not in fact canceled our stay and then needed to get our keys reactivated in the morning. All the apology we get in the morning is "that was a communication error" no sorry, let us make it up to you, etc. Even if someone is new and makes a mistake a good company at least owns their mistake or minimum apologizes. The breakfast was well stocked and the pool was ok for the kiddo but stinky

This hotel had probably the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. The service was absolutely top notch.

Check-in was at 3 p.m.. We arrived early and were told to come back at 3. When we came back a few minutes past 3, the room was not ready, so we sat in the lobby and played a game of Scrabble. The room was not ready at 4. At 4:30, the room was finally ready. I requested a Suite. The "Suite" was one big room. This is not conducive for one person to sleep and the other to watch TV or sit in the room with lights on. I will not stay with Holiday Inn again. Their definition of a Suite was very different than an actual suite with a separate bedroom and living area and bathroom. The staff did try to make up for the late check-in and they were very apologetic. It seems that the hotel was understaffed if it took over an hour and a half to clean one room.

It was a nice clean hotel. The staff was very friendly. The only negative thing was there were not enough towels for the 3 of us. I could have reached out to the staff and I know they would have taken care of it, but it was late and I needed to shower and be up early the next day. This wa not a huge thing.

ADA rooms inadequate and lacking!! NO consideration to a woman of 93 years old in needing her room to be available. She was left to sitting in her wheelchair up until 1 min. to check in time of 3:00. Had called first thing in the morning when, "the housekeepers are just arriving", to request an hour early check-in for her, said we would even pay if there was an extra charge. Was told not guaranteed, check out is 11:00 (Why does that matter? I was asking to check in at 2, we arrived around 2:30). We ended up on the top floor, the last rooms to be cleaned I assume. Why couldn't the cleaning crew do that room first knowing there was a special need request? Why a special request due to handicap can't be considered is beyond me. Every other place we have stayed at (not from this chain) has been sensitive to her needs and accommodated with no issues. Then there is the "ADA" room. The only thing ADA was the width of the door, which looked the same as all the others on the floor that were not ADA. There was NO grab bars and a low standard toilet (not the high profile type that is ADA compliant. My friend had to be helped up and off when she used the toilet because of this. OH, and the bathroom handle was not attached and comes of comes of when using (why did housekeeping not notice that when they cleaned the sink???). DISSAPOINTED!

The breakfast was great! Check in was easy. So happy we could do laundry. The room was wonderful with nice bedding. Worth every penny. Headed to Klamath Falls next…so unhappy there isn’t a Holiday Inn Express there!

Everything about our stay was wonderful except our room didnt seem like it was cleaned. Literal clumps of hair were in the bath tub and things were even left in the room from the previous occupants. Our room was not clean, and i questioned how often the pool gets cleaned because parts of the floor felt slimy. However, the other areas of the hotel were very clean and the breakfast was wonderful.

They over charged me $145 and said would be corrected by tomorrow then later in day another $145 taken out my bank . So now I’m on a trip with negative $300 when I called desk guy couldn’t help me till tomorrow when lady is in office. I’m so upset now!!!!

Everything went very well. Staff very friendly and professional. Beds comfortable. Yes, I’d stay here again.

This is a nice, new property with comfortable beds and a great staff. It's very clean, in a relatively quiet area, and about 5 minutes from the highway. It's a good place to stay in The Dalles.

It is a "pet friendly" hotel, but there's just one tiny grassy area to walk the dog and the hotel is in the middle of downtown. They gave us directions to a park, but it was not close or very convenient. And it's not a very quiet location, being where it is. The staff were nice, though, and everything was clean.

The checking process tonight was stressful. Lobby had a handful of people waiting for rooms. Since the person behind me was called to the desk to check in before me, it was concerning whether I would get a room even though I had a reservation. I heard the Reception tell several people their room would be ready in 10-15 minutes!

The fitness room was one of the best hotel fitness rooms I've used in a long time. The hotel felt really well done. Breakfast was quite hearty.

The property itself was great. Fairly newer, clean. Comfortable beds. Continental breakfast was good and it had a decent selection. The location around the hotel was a little sketchy though.

This hotel was not withing walking distance of the downtown district. It was easy access to highways though.

My stay was uneventful

I have stayed here before when visiting family. The hotel is very comfortable. The breakfast wasn’t as good as it had been previously. I had rented a plug in hybrid vehicle and was happy to see the vehicle charging stations. However the stations didn’t work properly. Otherwise I felt safe and comfortable here.

Clean and friendly to our basketball team

Nice property. Very clean. Our issue was that we booked well in advance(months), got a call after we were already in town that our family of 4 would only get one bed because of a booking mix up on their end. We were able to overlook because they promised us a rollaway bed. Upon checkin we were told that they’d already given all the rollaway beds away. We were offered no compensation. Very unprofessional.
