Enjoyed the hot springs tub on the roof. A fun and quirky motel

I didn't want the corporate motel. I wanted something old and unique in the historic part of town that didn't look like a fast food restaurant. When I arrived, the place looked a little too "unique". I was treated with kindness and friendliness and given a quick tour of the quirky details that make this hotel a special place. I'll be back. It's not for everyone, but neither is fast food. Unique places are fewer and further between now. You might need help to get the TV working at first, but when the friendly staff will help you, little things like that don't matter. The room was quite nice and larger than I expected. It was clean and comfortable. It was old and charming with clever decor. I love that. The main building dates from the 1940s and has soaking tubs with the hot spring water piped directly in. It's not what you will find in many places. Seek out the unusual.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The room and bed were comfortable. There was even a separate kitchen with a table in it. A soak is included with every stay and for a small amount more you can enjoy a rooftop soak, which we really enjoyed and I would highly recommend. This wasn’t a super fancy place, but it was just lovely and we will definitely return!!

We went up on the roof for a sunset soak--very pleasing. Rooms are rustic with some doodads and quirky things. You might try to get a room with a full kitchen. Friendly, personal service: I made a mistake and took my card with me on the soak--Marilyn and staff went above and beyond to find it and send it to me!

Lovely staff and we had a wonderful room. We did the star gazing in top of the roof in their spring water and it was so beautiful. Nice and quiet, the room was comfortable, although we had a few bugs, nothing concerning though. I would definitely book again.

What a great place ! We have been going to T or C for 25 years and now we have a new favorite place to stay! The room was super comfortable and clean, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and it is a great location ( although nothing I’m T or C is far). The private rooftop soak was just what we needed! Thanks Alex for all your help!! We will be back!

I liked this old fashioned spa motel from the Golden age of auto tourism.

I don’t generally do reviews, however, my experience at this motel was a hugely pleasant surprise. I had planned on camping, but it was too windy for my taste, so I found this place. Other reviews had mentioned things like “hippy dippy” and rooms need updating, things like that. Well if you’re looking for surface luxury and super modern amenities, go elsewhere. If you want an affordable, spacious room with all the things one would need- mine had a kitchen area too.. and if you want a free hour hot springs soak, an eclectic lobby with engaging and intelligent staff ( love you Marylyn, was an honor talking with you) , then this IS your place!! I will make it a point to stay here whenever I return. It’s convenient to a grocery store and several restaurants and a brewery, and a great museum. I love Truth or Consequences- I always meet fascinating people, and now I have a place to look forward to retiring to. And the hot spring soak was amazing- reserve one of the roof tubs at night!!!

We located this unique place in our search for a hotel in the area. The Hot Mineral Springs were a bonus and the highlight of our stay. The rooftop soak under the evening stars is a must! The vintage rooms added to the experience along with the exceptional service and welcome from the hosts.

Great pre-holiday trip - the rooms were roomy and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Hot springs baths were unique in they were vintage hot water tubs. The site is a vintage motel in the hotel spring district, across from the grocery store and steps away from shopping and restaurants. Will definitely be returning.

I viewed the room and decided that it was not a place that I would stay. The place was run down and was not up to what was represented

The staff here was exceptional! Motel is old but very clean, beds are comfy. This hot spring bath was nice & hot & very relaxing. You get a free 1 hr bath every day per person. Nice benefit

Great little hotel right in town. I randomly found it on a motorcycle trip through the area. Highly recommended. They also have a nice hot bathing area that was a relaxing experience. As we say in LA, great vibes.

I loved this place! My room was done in a very retro vibe , very well done ! The staff, the energy in the lobby/ store , the vintage vibe of the Hotsprings. Felt really good!

Lovely place and the people are wonderful! The property has been around for a while and has the character of an older building. It is well maintained but don’t expect a brand new structure. The staff is wonderfully kind and caring. The hot springs spa is incredible and should not be missed!! I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely recommend this property.

Charles Hotsprings is lovely motel with quite nice accomodations. Stayed in the Moon and Mars room, with quite lovely decor, spacious living room with good size kitchenette and dining table for 2. Great place for a couple or good friends to stay. Also enoyed the hot mineral bath. Would easily recommend to anyone who is staying in Truth or Consequences.

This is a well done retro motel. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. Definitely a stay again property.

The building is from the 1930s and shows its age, but it is maintained very well and you feel that much love has gone into keeping the business going. The bed was very comfortable, and the bed linens and towels were very luxurious. The lobby has an incredible Zen feel, and all of the items in the gift shop were very carefully chosen and add to the ambience of the spot field. The Hot Spring baths are amazing. There is no smell to the mineral water and after just half an hour being immersed, my skin felt wonderful. The bath was a highlight. The personnel on premises were most accommodating, and the people in TorC really loved living there. Speaking with the locals was a highlight of our stay.
