First room we had was fine, clean and seemed reasonable but the shower room wouldn’t drain and essentially flooded the shower room. Spoke to reception who said they were having issues and moved us straight away, no issues and nice about it all. The second room had a bathroom so no flooding issues but desperately needed an upgrade. The carpet had doormat over near the window to cover up a previous leak or stain, the window was clearly broken and had been desperately siliconed to an inch of its life but was still draughty, the wall paper was peeling and in the bathroom the previous toilet roll holder had been ripped off the wall and just exposed plaster and a hole left to view. The food however was lovely and an excellent menu. We had breakfast twice and dinner on our first night. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Just maybe bad luck our room was needing a make over.

Very mixed experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Bar and restaurant have a good selection and breakfast good value. Condition of bedroom poor. Clearly some effort has been made to refurbish (e.g shower) but much more needed and really showed its age with stains throughout carpet, torn and peeling wallpaper, unrepaired water damage in bathroom and cracked washbasin. Also heating via portable electric radiator. For the price, Holiday Inn really needs to invest in refurbishing the bedrooms to the standard expected of their brand,

The hotel was clean, workers all very friendly , I had breakfast it was very good, the room was clean, but the carpet was stained and that was my only concern. The corridors very light and bright. I enjoyed my stay and would come back.

Hotel was quiet and clean - staff were friendly and always smiled and acknowledged you whenever you went past. Love the aircon - makes a big difference to me. A couple of suggestions - instructions for TV i.e. it was difficult to just find normal TV channels A room service menue with prices. There was a card for breakfast in your room but no prices The QR code for room service only displays snacks and... 3 other items

We honestly couldn’t fault anything,we both said it’s one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. Staff were so nice and our dig was treated like a VIP we will Definatley be back and recommend to friends

Perfect 1 night stay. Room very clean and comfortable. Evening table service was a bit hit and miss but the wonderful breakfast staff more than made up for this. Will defiantly use this Holiday Inn again.

The staff were very friendly in all areas. Check in went smoothly even though it was done by the duty bar person as the receptionist was on a break. The bar person admitted that he didn't know where everything was but I got my key to access the room

Bed was really comfy, excellent bathroom but the room was very hot. Tried putting on AC but it was extremely loud.

The hotel is very well located. The staff were very friendly and polite and the service was exceptional. The room was really well decorated and was spotlessly clean. The shower was lovely and the bathroom was also spotless. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was exceptional too. Really high quality with generous portions. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return.

Got the suite for a family of 5. Plenty of room for the family and good beds. Breakfast was good.

Staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful. Rooms were pretty standard but at least there was plenty of tea coffee and biscuits

The staff made the weekend the best. We stayed here to attend the British Grand Prix and was welcomed to the property with chocolate racing cars, formula 1 decorations and friendliness! Great place to stay for the British Grand Prix!

Exec rooms are great with king size beds . If you can afford it don’t stay in queen bed rooms the mattress sucks . This hotel serves a fine breakfast way better than the usually more expensive Marriott in the same locality and it has lifts incredibly the Marriott does not

It was fabulous what a welcome all themed around Grand Prix which started our weekend off well. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Business trip only stayed one night

Lovely sized room, comfortable bed and kettle for drinks.

Room next to stairway & fire exit, shocking a s large rock used to keep door open and giving access into the hotel. Door bangs against the rock and woken up at 5am by people coming and going, not happy as a fire door being used as a way of entering & existing the hotel.
