The lack of parking was kind of a pain. It ended up being $16 a day to parking in parking garage recommended by hotel. It was just a short walk away and easy to find. Room was bigger than expected, clean and perfect for our family of 4. We brought an air mattress and there was plenty of room for it. Beds were super comfy but the pillows were FLAT. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. We preferred the Starbucks that was close by for coffee. They also didn’t have breakfast one morning of our stay due to staffing. Staff did a great job putting up notices to let people know. The best part was the location. Other than the noise of the train during the day, it was super quiet and within walking distance to everything. The waterfront was beautiful and the restaurants amazing. I have never been to a city that was so quiet. Next to no traffic (car or people) it was actually strange. We will definitely visit again and would stay at this hotel.

Nice location, good breakfast and nice staff

Not having parking available is a huge inconvenience. For check out I had to pull over and stand the car close to the hotel entrance while I went upstairs to get my luggage. I was seconds away from being towed! I went back down just in time. On one occasion hot breakfast was not available due to an issue. Free breakfast and fre parking are the main reason I book with Holiday Inn Express. Room was nice and clean, staff was friendly.

The televisions in our room did not function/turn on. All the window blinds were remote controlled or operated by a switch which neither worked as well. Also the light in the main room did not work. One of our "clean" towels was stained and unusable. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful during check-in but no one was there during check-out to address our issues other than someone who was busy cleaning who just kept repeating "put the key cards in the bin". We will not be staying here again and would recommend anyone looking at this as an option to go elsewhere.

I loved it overall. The first room I received, there were stains on the floor, on top of the toilet, and inside the blanket. The bedroom also did not have blackout curtains. I switched rooms and that was extremely comfortable and clean. It’s very convenient to have a fridge and microwave as well. Overall, if I go back to Buffalo, I would go back to this hotel.

Not enough parking we have to look for garage parking or street parking and we need to pay for that

The man and woman working at the front desk were so pleasant to work with. They were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. Parking is not onsite, but the neighborhood seemed safe.

Mario was so helpful so kind in fact the entire staff was also so helpful. The suite was incredible. The location was great. It was a block away from the trolley. Breakfast was delicious!

The room was in need of maintenance especially the bathrooms, also why have a microwave when not having any plates or cutlery. And the AC was really loud when it turned on.

Great location. Walking distance from the Convention Center and the Buffalo Bisons. Clean and quiet. Local dining and theatre choices all within a few blocks. Only downside is parking is 1.5 blocks away.

A family member had a passport emergency and we had to drive to Buffalo to make an appointment. We arrived at 4:30am, and the management was ready for us and super-friendly and helpful. We sacked out in a spotless room, and I found the sofa bed very comfortable. Our family members made the passport appointment and we’re on their way well rested!

We had the BEST night in your hotel! The room was incredible! Loved the layout. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Staff was super helpful and great. Room and whole hotel was clean and comfy. Perfect location to get anywhere.

I will never stay there again

Good location if you want to be in downtown. Only about a 20 minute drive from Niagara falls and a two-hour drive from Toronto.

We were in town for a comedy show, and this hotel was in walking distance of the theater. The woman who checked us in was so nice and helpful. The room was great until we walked into the bathroom. There was major water damage and a big hole in the ceiling in the shower. I felt the people above us would be joining me any second. I didn’t want to even think about the mold. We were in walking distance to every type of eatery and brewery one could want, and parking rates at the area garages were reasonable. Overall, it was a nice trip and stay. Assuming the damage is on the list of repairs, I would stay here again if attending another show at Shea’s.

Pros: Friendly staff, very close to our destination, many great restaurants and bars within walking distance, a tasty continental breakfast. Clean. They were able to accommodate our late checkout without an extra fee. Cons: no on-site parking. Have to park either on the street or in a parking garage for money a few blocks away. Our room had two broken tables and a tub faucet that dripped all night but the worst thing was the broken AC. We had the room set to 60° to try to bring it down from a very humid 76° all night but it never dropped the temp. Not only that, but it sounded like a lawnmower in the walls. Overall, we wouldn’t choose it but if we had to, we would stay there again.

Great location, nice staff

Great location for the theater district and access to bars. We walked down to the waterfront as well. Rooms were spacious with great blackout blinds. Nice included breakfast as well. Unfortunately our room was missing some baseboard and the water for the shower was just warm, never got hot. Lots of tv channels too!

Great hotel

One thing…no parking. We had no idea that was going to be the case. That being said, our room was decent, clean and comfortable for the most part. The location is under construction so I am sure once that is completed, the minor annoyances won’t be there. Breakfast was good. I can say that the attendant was doing a great job of keeping things clean and filled. The only downfall is she was playing music very loudly on her phone that completely clashed with the overhead music being played. It was a bit inappropriate but that is all the real negative I have. The room was much more spacious than I had anticipated. It allowed us to have privacy and 2 TVs was a nice touch. We saw a show at the Keybank Center and were able to walk to the event and back. That was definitely convenient for us.

Our go to spot in Sandusky- Unique, sylish rooms, great restaurant, and friendly staff!

Parking was a few blocks away which wasn’t my favorite.
