The room was very comfortable, but slight signs of aging. Paint flaking on the walls, and a stain in the headboard. But these are minor to the comfortable bed and quality of the room.
The staff were excellent. I watched a young lad in the restaurant, who was looking after a lady with mobility issues. He did everything for her he could to help her and she never had to lift a finger. He came over to my table and was so pleasant, he and the other breakfast staff were a credit to the the hotel.

We were staying at the hotel for a wedding; due to creamfields being on in the area we paid well over the usual price, which was fine and convenient for us. On arrival we decided it would be a good idea to extend our room for a late check out, I paid the extra cost and the person on reception confirmed this was added to the booking. We had a wonderful time at the wedding and were looking forwards to a late lie in bed only to be knocked up at 10.55 and the room entered by the cleaner, I told her I had a late check out and she apologised and advised there is nothing on the booking, I told her I had paid the extra and it was all confirmed and I won’t be leaving until that time, she said again she had not been informed and apologised, by this time my partner was now awake we are both in bed and I’m trying to explain this whilst clutching the covers to protect my modesty. Housekeeping then thankfully closed the door. On checking out around 12.30 we advised the receptionist, she apologised and said this was clearly stated on the booking, we were offered coffee on leaving but we were going for breakfast so didn’t want one but were advised someone would call us, unfortunately this never happened.

We stayed in room 322, it’s in a very poor condition, carpet leading to the bathroom is absolutely slithy and unacceptable, the paint around the window is peeling very poor condition, had to use a towel to sit on the chair and it is stained with food.

We had a family room with two double beds which was great with a child, the room was huge and had a bath in the bathroom.
We ate dinner in the restaurant which was nice, very good service and plenty of options.
Breakfast was fine, plenty of choice although not much fresh fruit.
Had a great nights sleep, it was quiet, with comfy beds.

We had a great stay and it’s our 3rd, however just make sure you book in early to get your room, we travelled a long way and didn’t arrive until 8pm, we were given the last room which was a disabled room, lovely and big but the en-suite sink was near my knees and the bed about 450mm from the ground, the staff were great and put me into a club room on the second night, I would stay again

Room was serviceable, although missing a stool. The bathroom was not very clean, sink blocked with hair and shower head blocked with scum or something, clearly not checked when cleaned. Breakfast is very average. I asked for runny poached eggs and got solid hard boiled. Limited selection. Pool and gym are quite good.

Comfortable room with loads of space (club room). My only gripe was the breakfast, sort of half a full English with half of the hot stuff being luke warm. Otherwise the hotel is fab, staff are super helpful, rooms are nice and clean and beds are very comfy!

Booked through a third party and it wasn’t clear to me that you need to pay £5 per person per day for use of gym and pool and £5 per 24 hours of parking, in addition to breakfast being £10pp. I’d rather these costs were just included at the outset, rather than add ons. Bed wasn’t great and the pillows were so uncomfortable. Noticed mould in the showers of the women’s changing room.

The room I stayed in was above the gym. As the room was warm and had no aircon I had to have the window open and hence you could hear noise from the gym from about 06:00 - 20:00. At times the music for the classes was extremely loud. The bar/restaurant an on-site Starbucks are good.

The pool was excellent, bedroom was fine, breakfast was good.
However, i was charged twice for two rooms. Booked through 'Hotels.com' and paid them, then the hotel took a second payment at check in.
Its been a real struggle to get any communication from Village after the event despite promises from reception staff. So my experience has been poor and i feel ripped off.

Very basic room. Not even bedside lamps!! Restaurant very loud with volume on loud for the football. Nowhere quiet to enjoy our meal. Won’t be going again!

You can't go wrong with village hotels tbf, good rooms, good bar and good leisure facilities. My issue with this stay was when I ate in the bar. The bar was fairly busy and as I had my pc with me, I decided to use the app to order from my table. After waiting 30 minutes with not even the drink being brought over, I went to the bar where the girl poured my pint. She then asked a guy to check on my food, following which that was brought out a couple of minutes later. I can only imagine that my order was forgotten, given that nothing had happened until I queried it. Apart from that, no issues with the stay.
