Beautifully clean hotel with friendly employees

We love staying at the Hampton Inn, we are never disappointed! Friendly front desk staff, cleans rooms, comfy beds and breakfast! What more can you ask for!

Our child is an incoming freshman at RIT and this is our third stay at this location this past year as we visited the campus and met with people. This location has comfortable beds, is clean, has a good breakfast and great staff. Since we live far from Rochester, this will continue to be the place we stay.

The hotel itself is great. Clean, nicely decorated, very good breakfast. Only thing is it is there for sleeping and technically we did not get to do much of that. Not really the hotel's fault but it kinda ruined our trip nonetheless. The first night in the middle of the night the power went out and when it went back on everything beeped and made noises and woke us up. The second night was even worse. At around midnight my kids noticed water dripping in through the ceiling. They had to move rooms and then I did as well (we had 2 rooms adjoining). The unit above went out not realizing their toilet was overflowing. Moving rooms (no longer adjoining) was quite a chore and then calming down and going to sleep was difficult to say the least. I had to drive home the next morning and much coffee was needed as I was exhausted. Other than moving us, the hotel said nothing which was also disappointing.

Hotel had no vending machines at all a very large deposit wasn't a very nice stay we went to cheap hotel next door to use the vending machines

All went well! Good facilities and pool is open 6 am to 10 pm.

It's clean, room are spacy, the pool water has a questionable color and very hot .. it feels like a jacuzzi. breakfast is good, nice sitting area in the lobby ... 2 TV's, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate 24/7 .... I like this hotel ..

Front desk staff very unprofessional. Check in on Friday and expected our room to be cleaned, beds made and fresh towels on Saturday morning and was told that rooms are done every other day. Carpet in the room had a very strong pee smell. Wifi was not free even though it was supposed to be. Just a not so good experience.

Shady people outside in the parking lot at night. They did not appear to be guests. They kept going in and out of a path by the hotel and then sitting in a car.

A very dirty room on the first floor. Carpet was ver old and a heavy "Musky" scent. The carpet was very sticky so walked aroubd in socks. The smell caused my wife to have headaches. We should have checked out, but was already settled in. We ended up purchasing a large bottle of Febreeze which masked the smell. Breakast was so-so. Mattress on bed sagged in the middle indicating it was old. Giving it two stars may be generous. We will look elsewhere when we come back to the Rochester area The hotel was convenient for what we had to do.

The front desk person hardly spoke to me and was so quiet. Our room was clean but the shade was cracked and let in light when we were trying to sleep. The bed sheets didnt fit and kept coming off while we were sleeping. The bed was supposed to be a king but was probably a queen...too small...the bed was uncomfortable, lumpy, too bouncy, and uncomfortable. We will be xoming back throigh in a few days and will hopefulyl not stay there again....

Check in was quick. Hotel was quiet. Room had an unpleasant odour, had to turn off the A:C. No other rooms available. Bathroom door would not close. We were here for two days and no one serviced the room. Manager was to contact us but was never available. Breakfast was a joke.

Late check-in i literally had to wait until 4pmto check in but check-in time is at 3pm not to mention they were knocking at my door at 1050am to get out breakfast was suppose to be at 6am they didn’t get done getting everything together until 620 am

The location worked for us as it wasn’t too far to where we need to go. It had some good places to eat that were at a good distance. We were disappointed with our room as it had strange door, part of the carpet that was stapled to the wall was falling off, the toilet lever to flush the toilet was loose, drinks were left in the fridge which made us question if the room was even cleaned. For the breakfast, we enjoyed the variety of waffles with having 2 flavours, but wish there was more options for eggs. The facilities did not seem maintained. The pool water did not look clean and in the gym, there were towels left lying around, no wipes to wipe down on one side of the gym that there were sweat marks on the bench. Also, not ideal to have 2 gym rooms

I was disappointed in the breakfast. There was only decaf coffee for a full hour during breakfast time, and only 1 gross orange in the fruit bowl the entire time.

Actually, this time is quite nice. Better vibe and friendly staff, l didn't have to wait too long either for check-in!

For a budget hotel, the rooms were as you'd expect, nothing too fancy, but they were clean. The one thing I wish I had read reviews about before going was the condition of the pool. It was so cloudy you couldn't see all of the stairs going down into it, so we opted not to go in. I asked at the desk about it and they said it was cleaned last week, so it should be fine to use... I didn't take the chance. Overall, a pleasant stay though, the staff were friendly and everything else was as expected.

Excellent hot breakfast buffet.

I only stood for a night. The room was clean and quiet. The only downfall was the breakfast. Breakfast was from 6am to 10am. By 9am they only had a few slices of bread, waffle mix and semi cooked turkey patties. We were told they ran out of eggs.

Overall it was a geat experience in a great location. The pool is small and the water was cloudy.

Nothing good to say. Staff seemed unengaged. Free coffee station without half & half. Only flavored fake cream! Bathroom shabby with shelves peeling off the wall. Loudest cooling system. Room was 64 degrees. Tried to turn if off. Couldn't do it from the thermostat or the unit itself. TIME FOR A MAJOR REFURBISHMENT OF THIS PROPERTY. And, someone needs to ask employees to take their eyes off their phone screens. They should pay attention to their guests and keeping the place properly stocked.

The room smelled bad. The bathroom was dirty and the two women who checked us in took rude to a whole new level.

The room was one of the worst rooms ive ever stayed in. For a "3 star" hotel it was disgusting. The sheets were stained all over. The room had so much damage done to it, the shower was gross and the room stunk of chlorine.(Pool was right down the hall. Aswell, the AC barely worked. For 200$ at a 3star hotel i was expecting it to be better. Ive stayed in motel 6 or red roof and have had way better stays.

We had a great time!

It was convenient to restaurants.

The staff was amazing but unfortunately the next door room played music all night and even after complaining from the whole floor the staff could only get them to lower the volume for 30 min before they pumped the music back to max
