Check in was without issue, the lady at reception was very polite. Room was comfortable and clean. There was however a fire alarm activated at around 11pm, which did not cancel for sometime which caused several of us to start to evacuate. No staff were visible and had to contact reception to find out whether we still had to leave the building.

Lovely huge room, staff were friendly, nice big shower and everything very clean. Negatives are a bit of traffic noise as you’re on the side of a busy road (to be expected) and beds ok but not that comfortable.

Comfortable stay for 1 night with convenient location to the Port

Hotel room was perfect. Only problem we had was the breakfast was absolute chaos.

I booked this hotel in Portsmouth for 2 nights with my family and first.We arrived at reception with the smell of urine with lots of dogs running open and down we did manage to get our room which Not clean and had dog hair stuck to the carpet with towels that looked like they D never been washed, but we managed to stay that 1 night to wake up with the bedroom flooded due to the air conditioning dripping all night had a terrible sleep. They did change our room to a room upstairs. Watch I was up all night itching. I have been bitten up-and-down my legs. I have emailed the Holiday Inn and sent fortress. This hotel is terrible and needs a deep clean. I would not recommend it. And I will not be staying again..

All good no problems at all

The stay was comfortable. Rooms are good and clean. The food and service in cafe is average. Though staff is very helpfull. Overall good stay.

Hotel staff on reception and bar were awful. Slow and clearly did not want to be there. Poor food options in the evening unless you want pizza and fish and chips. Hotel needs a lock of paint and another hotel that makes a crazy amount of money from the car park. Just put the cost of the car park in the room hire so we know what the total stay costs.

Nice comfortable hotel, spotlessly clean, Jack on bar and reception had great customer service. Slight delay with replenishment of breakfast items as it was busy due to the festival, although it was clear people were coming in for breakfast from the festival campsite!

Nice modern clean hotel. But until I develop a square bottom, I didn’t like the square toilet seat. 15 pound parking is excessive too

All in all a very pleasant stay for one night's stay. Bed comfortable, room with couch and table. Shower efficient. Very clean. Air conditioning good as hot weather. Nice breakfast. Only slight misgiving was male guest in restaurant/bar area in evening not wearing a shirt which i didn’t think was appropriate and detracted from the ambience.

The staff were doing the best they could to keep a lot of people satisfied- not easily managed, especially as there only seemed to be a small number of staff doing everything. Food was limited and really not nice, but I didn’t expect much more when you look at the menu unfortunately. Cheap place to stay, just won’t eat here in future.

On what was one of the warmest days, we found that our room had no air-conditioning, after repeat requests to have the aircon fixed, Ali was kind enough to move us to an alternate room. Had a great nights sleep, enjoyed breakfast, and had a generally good time.

Good value that included an excellent buffet breakfast, good Wi-Fi, clean and comfortable beds. only downside was paying for parking.

Friendly, helpful staff. Decent, well-kept room at a reasonable price. Good breakfast. A little tricky finding the entrance to the car park, perhaps - some information here would have been helpful.

We have stayed here a few times, it's convenient for the ferry but there is a fee for parking and the food is limited, very limited last night as half the menu was not available. Food quality was average, room was adequate but got one alongside the motorway so noisy.

Basic IHG property. No fridge, no closet space, no free parking, lack of security doors that work, one way system in and out of the property makes it difficult to navigate.

Photos make it look better than in person. The price is good for its value. It is not very walkable since it is right off the motorway and there is nothing nearby worth walking too. The restaurant has good food and a good selection of beers.

Given the price band for this area. with far cheaper options not far away, this hotel was rather disappointing. Overall, a fairly functional establishment which probably serves well for one night, but for longer stays could be made much more welcoming. The room was spacious enough and the bed comfortable, but with just one chair in a double room, a small table reminiscent of a child's school desk, no drawer space and very little stowage capability (and not even a biscuit with the tea/coffee!) it could hardly be described as homely. Service could not be faulted but, with a (mediocre) breakfast buffet, this was solely limited to ordering at the bar where, regrettably, it was found that the (already limited) meal menu had options not available.

Basic quality hotel, great transport links

Overall a good stay, nothing special but was comfy and pleasant - can’t remember his name but the night manager with the piercings is a credit to your company. What an angel he was! Super welcoming after a long day.

Very clean modern room, facilities where great, staff very friendly and helpful, only thing which would have made stay better was a better bar menu… apart from that highly recommended
