Stay ok but our twin room was very outdated compared to our friends double room. It was clean but in need of modernisation.
3.8
The Internet connection was very poor.

Hotel was nice. Beds were comfy. Room was beautiful and nice and clean. Everything we needed in one room
3.8
We stayed in room 107 beside some personnel room and was terrible. They were going in and out all night long and also knocking the door.
3.8
Photos of rooms on site look nothing like the rooms allocated. Loud pub open until early hours, bins being emptied at 4:30 in the morning. Curtains let in the light.
Struggled to sleep.
Friendly staff but won’t be back.

Staff were lovely, room was massive and fairly clean.... some of the light switches were grimy and the carpet was a bit dusty, but they provided complementary soaps and slippers.
It was the middle of a heat wave, and to no fault of the hotel it was very stuffy in the room. Grateful that we had a fan in the room!

False fire alarm at 4:30 am was not good. Commendable receptionist for explaining. Although was not able to sleep again

Windows open literally 1-2 inches on the hottest days of the year. No fan in room
No wifi
3.8
Good location but the room was stifling all the time. Would stay there again but would request a different room
3.8
Simply hotel with good location. It’s easy to walk around.

Nice hotel in a central location, great breakfast. Rooms and decor ok but looking tired, probably could do with a big revamp. But nevertheless a good hotel.
3.8
Great hotel for central Manchester. Stayed overnight when in town for a gig at Co-op Live. Clean and comfortable hotel. Friendly staff. Only disappointment was breakfast, as it was very busy and we were up a bit late, so ended up eating out elsewhere.

The room & location were amazing.
Wifi sucked in my room & they didn’t seem too concerned but everything else was great.

It was 10-minute walk from Piccadilly, so really convenient for my purposes since I was only staying for one night. The room was ok, but really warm (even though it was not hot outside). At least there was a fan. Also, there was a noise outside my room (103) or nearby, like a generator/motor that was going off every hour or so. Some may have found it pleasant, like white noise, but I found it really annoying to sleep with.
I didn't find the place spotless clean - some stains in bathroom and had to pay 5 pounds to leave luggage for the day after check-out. It's usually free in other hotels I've stayed in.

Great position, quiet, convenvenient for transport links.

I should have seen it had no airconditioning..very warm in room… my fault

The worst king bed I've slept on in a long time....hard as a board and creaked with the slightest movement... room 101....bed needs binning....very tired as a result. Room was clean and staff were great... i did tell them about the bed...hope the do something about it.

The place ist centrally located, has nice personnel and good breakfast. The rooms are small, require rennovation. Both would bei fine, when the price is relatively Low, but the walls were so think and Doors Bad that you would hear everything all night through. The bathroom Doors opened to the inside in a way that i had to squeeze between wall and toilet to Close it and make my way to the toilet. Not reccommendable for more than 1 night.

Corners of the room/the floor were dirty, but sheets seemed clean. Tub drain was clogged. Very great location, though a little sketchy directly outside.
3.8
Great value for money, great location

Great location, staff friendly, property could do with some new carpets and decoration refreshed reception area nice clean and tidy bar was never open.
3.8
Honestly not half bad! We weren’t expecting much from a good deal and a city centre hotel but it was super. Clean and comfortable, nice decor in the hallways and reception area. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Couldn’t dusky it for a midweek night in Manchester City centre, 5-10 minutes walk from Piccadilly station. Perfect location for us while we visited the O2 Ritz (10 minute walk away)

I booked this hotel due to going to see the Pet Shop Boys at Co-op Live Arena. This hotel is only 10 minutes walk away from Manchester Piccadilly. Check in was swift and so easy to get around.
I would stay here again.

We came into town for a concert and so wanted something close and convenient to coop live and public transport. We got the added bonus of a friendly receptionist and a warm comfortable room.

The Gardens Hotel was very friendly and comfortable hotel to stay in. Right in the centre of Manchester. Very adjacent to all forms of public transport which was easy to get hang of. All staff were friendly and smile and helpful.

Great value for money!

Arrived early as we were going to an all day event, we expected not to be able to check-in and expected to just leave our bags until later that night. After a few minutes they found a room that was ready. Really grateful for the service from reception.

Good location, shabby decor. Will look for somewhere else next time.
3.8
Great location close to pubs, restaurants and local shops and attractions.

The Gardens is an ideal hotel in the middle of Piccadilly Manchester with all amenities in walking distance. Although still outdated a bit it is clean and comfortable. There is a lot of noise if you are allocated any of the front rooms looking out onto Piccadilly. The staff are friendly and the breakfast costs £10 which is value for money nowadays. If your looking for something reasonable the gardens is ideal for a short break. I would definitely be returning in the future.
3.8
Electrics in my room didn’t work and some plugs were not working that I needed. Got moved rooms and they said they will speak to maintenance to fix it. No hassle, very friendly
3.8
We stayed for two nights to attend a concert in Manchester. We had no sleep whatsoever for both nights due to the back of the hotel where our room was facing out onto several nightclubs which were incredibly loud. The view from our window was a skip and a mouldy mattress. The so called Picadilly 'Gardens' is not exactly a gardens!
3.8
Absence of plugs, slow wifi, bed creaky
3.8
It’s pretty dated. The bedroom was overlooking waste ground strewn with junk. Very noisy but that’s to be expected in a city centre.
The breakfast was nice.
3.8
Check in was easy and my room was already available. Staff were friendly and informative. The room was spacious and suitable for my needs. The building is old and showing it, but very clean and looked after. My only concern was that the mortar between the bathroom tiles is breaking up and needs attention.
