I’ve been in this hotel numerous years and I am always very satisfied. The staff is amazing, we feel at home every time! On this trip, my wife and I took a massage at the Spa; it was excellent!

The building needs a renovation. Carpets smelled musty in areas. Daily parking rate was not expected and added to the total cost of the stay.

The property felt like a mini resort just a short drive to the venter of Quebec City. Travelled with parents and a 7 yr old. Lots of fun activities, from the candy bar to roasting marshmallows to watching Olympics with popcorn. A very positive experience. Also the in room Jacuzzi was wonderful, equip with underwater lights and nice water pressure.

The pool and gardens were lovely. The property itself is old and dated. Do not feel there should have been a charge for parking due to hotel location. The bathroom floor had 3 bobby pins and elastic on the floor from previous guests as well as hair in the bathtub. The pad of paper on the desk had children’s drawings from previous guests. Poor sound insulation, you can hear neighbours talking and creeks of the floor. Breakfast was average, avocados were black. Would most likely not stay again.

I was there a few years ago. It changed so much. Dining room: when we got there, we had no reservation. The receptionist had not tell us. The hostess had us wait for 5 minutes. There was many tables available. At 9:15, the buffet was almost empty, one plate left. Ask for a glass of water (still waiting). Menu was poor. Presentation of plates under zero for a hotel of this caliber. We won’t go back.

This is our 2nd visit at BE, it’s been about 9 years since our last visit and we remembered how comfortable the mattresses were, we enjoyed both stays and had a great nights sleep. There are 3 restaurants on site, not all open at the same time, but the food is delicious and the beautiful courtyard and pool area feel like a little tropical oasis in the middle of the suburbs. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Look forward to visiting again.

This was an absolutely beautiful and quaint hotel and the employees all went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was perfect! I absolutely recommend this hotel for your next trip!

Only 2 negatives, both related to mobility/accessibility issues. The bathtub lip was very high and the shower arrangement with a wall mounted shower head with a head that was not adjustable made it difficult to shower. The second problem was very minor but the location of the safe high up in the closet made it difficult to use. We almost left my wife's purse at the back of the safe because we couldn't reach it without standing on a chair. If your 6 ft tall it may be OK but we're both short. Otherwise the property and the visit was great. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary here, where we spent our honeymoon and it was even better that we remembered.

Our room was outdated. The carpet was stained and disgusting. The bathroom smelt like sewage, we had to keep the light and fan on for the bathroom all night to get some circulation in there, but eventually had to close the bathroom door because it was so foul.
The room has the bare minimum.

We were party of Five friends and they they made us stay in two different sections on different floors. We requested the room changes, they were able to do it but then they charged us upgraded room charges without notifying us at checkout.

Overall experience was amazing for two nights stay, but I’m unhappy with hidden charges. We were told at the check in time breakfast is included for two nights stay, but breakfast was free only for one day, even though check out time was noon. We were charged for second day break fast. They should mention that only one day breakfast is included even though we were staying for two nights. Also, At the end of the stay we were charged 60-80$ above what price was shown in the app. Overall it was ok experience for me, love the place and ambience and cleanliness, but log hidden charges , I felt like robbed.

Our room was not like any of those pictured on the Hotels site. Instead it was not updated in any way.

There was a sewer smell coming from the bathroom plumbing.
Only one nightstand.
Bath robes missing and were not delivered even after requested.
The grounds and common areas were beautiful.

During checkout we were informed of fees we had to pay. There were resort fees because it was summer and parking fees. Neither were communicated during the reservation process or at check-in. When we asked why this wasn’t part of what we were charged by Expedia, they said it was because they wanted to explain in person the amenities available in person at checkout. AT CHECKOUT! This made the whole stay terrible. Not to mention there was mold in the shower.

Unfortunately I was not satisfied with my stay, the rooms are outdated, even after we changed room, there was still issues with the new room. What I found very annoying is the fact that information was not clear about what was included or not. Breakfast for adult same price as adults, I found that there were not a lot of perks for families, specially for restaurant.
Staff was really kind, I have to admit.
Overall, this hotel is not a 4 star, a 3 would me fair.

Not speaking much French the staff were so kind and accommodating from morning into night. Softness bed I have slept in a very long time! Beautiful bar and eatery as well! Will 100% be back if I’m ever in Quebec again.
