Terrible service, we arrived to check in and they told us that the room was not ready, that they were cleaning it, they left us waiting for more than 45 minutes in the cold.
These types of hotels should not be advertised on Hotels.com, they do not meet the minimum requirements for a minimally decent stay.
I do not recommend it, better to look for another option.

Excellent place to stay when you have appointments at Mayo Clinic

Checkout was noon as posted. We came back to our room at 11am to find a man in there doing some cosmetic caulking on the shower tile. He did not speak a word of English. He showed his phone which had an English message saying something about being an employee there. We even had our do not disturb plackard out.
Tried to complain to the front desk… but they were swamped at that time and we couldn’t wait.

The beds were not so comfortable, and the heater was over performing when we got in the room. Turned it waaay down and it helped, but still seemed extra warm in there. The noise every time it kicked in woke me up, but I am admittedly a light sleeper.
Otherwise the room was clean, and breakfast was pretty good. Nice, clean space to eat, and upbeat Christmas music playing.
We like staying here when at the Mayo. It’s close and convenient.

Stay was great and very convenient to Mayo. Only negative was the room was so cold we needed to go buy a portable heater.

I was just in and out for a total of about ten hours, but the room was clean and in good condition, the floor was quiet, and the included breakfast very nice.

It was good. When we checked in the receptionist at the front desk didn’t give us anything to put on the car parked in the garage. We got note saying we would be charged more for parking there. Plus she gave us no directions on which elevator to use to get to our room. Another guest saw us lost and told us we were on the wrong side and to back down and take the other elevator. The next day we got the parking pass so that was managed.

First stay was excellent. This room had a lamp falling apart and nightstands in the hallway. Cost too much for these issues.

Our Ram truck would not fit into the parking ramp. Would have been nice to know this before we booked. Our room was not ready, no parking on property for us. Asked if we could cancel, and was firmly told NO! Was attending Mayo clinic for treatment, didn't need this added stress!!!!!!!!

Check in and check out was very easy, staff very helpful with questions about how to get places. Our room was very dated and the carpet was warn and dirty. I was disappointed that we had to pay an additional $15 to use the actual hotel parking ramp. The breakfast was plentiful and kept fresh.

It's my go to when I have appointments at the Mayo Clinic. Convenient, great price, and there's a workout room, pool, and complimentary breakfast. Parking in their garage can be limited and really tight spots for any vehicle over midsized, but there IS a parking garage across the street. There's a coffee shop in the lobby, sandwich shop just off of the lobby and a full service restaurant and bar on site as well.

The people who work at The Kahler are always wonderful. They are friendly checking in and out. The location is perfect for appointments at Mayo. The hotel needs a fresh look. It is outdated and worn out.

In the process of being renovated which it certainly needs. Location to Mayo facilities is the key benefit to staying at Kahler Inn and Suites. Price is competitive and reasonable. The addition to free breakfast is a recent plus. Hotel staff could be a little more professional when greeting and dealing with customers.

Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and it is conveniently located across the street from Mayo. Pillow are hard though other than that it’s a great stay.

We stayed here because it was across the street from the Clinic. When I went in to check in, there was a cop sitting at a table and two homeless people in the lobby. The parking cost and was not secured. One bed mattress was lumpy, and the other sagged in the middle. The sink and tub area had cracked tiles, bad caulking jobs. The shower head was at about 5’ high and the tub drain did not drain. The bathroom fan was so loud we could not hold a conversation. The clock was set wrong and couldn’t be reset and included an IPOD charger. The walls were taped and mudded and not smoothed under wallpaper that was stained. For the price we paid

This hotel is very clean and the staff is efficient. The ability to cross over to the Mayo Clinic via a tunnel was greatly appreciated during cold rainy weather. The restaurant was very good as well. It was great not having to go out in the rain.

We were there for Mayo. We were tired and stressed. As we were waiting to check in the power went out, the staff handled it great. The front desk staff is top notch!

The hotel and staff were great. The kids running up and down the halls all night, not so great. The kids had no respect for the hotel or for the wheelchairs left there by the Mayo Clinic for their patients. There seemed to be no chaperones for these high school students running all over

I always stay there at the Kahler inn and suits . Whenever I go to the Mayo Clinic, it's very accommodating great location nice people it has everything I need. I always go back.

Room smelled. Electrical outlets did not work. Bed skirts were wrinkled. Beds were ok. Very old and in need of renovation. Key cards had to be reset each day. Never again

We have stayed here over 20 trips in the past three years. Always clean, comfortable room. VERY convenient for ALL of my appointments at MAYO. And now, they offer complimentary continental breakfast. We chose to park in the MAYO parking ramp to the south of the hotel. The hotel's parking garage is VERY LOW, VERY SMALL SPACES AND A LIMITED AMOUNT OF ACTUAL SPACES. It's also cheaper to park off-site, and that ramp is connected through the subway corridor, so no need to be out in the elements. The MAYO building concierge also offers a parking pass at a discounted rate, if you need to visit often (packages of multi-day passes). All in all, the Kahler Inn and Suites is our go-to for ALL Rochester trips.

Dog or human feces on the hallway carpet...the basket was missing from the coffee maker.....they said they would bring the part that was missing but never did....had to wait forever to check in at 5:00, only one person working..water faucet in the sink barely worked....water ran very very slow....will NOT stay here again....Shirley

We were at Mayo for care and there couldn't possibly have been a more convenient location. The lovely breakfast staff got each day off to a good start. Rooms are not luxurious but are comfortable and quiet. The parking ramp is conveniently located, but truly a challenge to get my mid-sized SUV in and out of. Overall a good experience and it will be our go-to spot whenever we return to Mayo.

It’s a nice enough place and very convenient to the Mayo Clinic. Bathrooms are tiny with low toilets and bathtubs need more safety bars. The place is very quiet and very neat but I don’t care for their pillows.

I had several appointments in the Gonda Building at the Mayo Clinic. The hotel was so convenient. All I had to do was walk across the street. We were able to walk to everywhere we needed and wanted to go.

Really needs to be updated. Sad looking decor. Mattress were terrible! Nice to have Caribou Coffee, CB3-excellent breakfast, Yum Hawaiian Bowl- delicious attached to hotel. Only kitty corner from Gonda building.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is location. We left this hotel because my sister’s room got broke into TWICE! Someone had a card to get into her room. Rooms also smell musty.

The only thing going for this hotel is the location to Mayo. The staff was rude, except for 1 gal who worked the 3-11 shift. Someone tried TWICE to come into my sister’s room next door at 10:25 pm. They had no explanation and did not take it seriously. No security cameras on premise except for front desk.

Property is older but clean and in decent shape. We had issue with our room door not locking and our coffee pot in our room was broken as well. Also the ice machine on our floor was also broken. Staff was nice but limited. They are in a great location next to Mayo Gonda and Mayo buildings. Rooms and facilities were clean.

The room smelled of stale smoke, even though it was a non smoking room. I had to set the air conditioner to 66, in order to deal with the smell. There was no wifi, even though the website said there was. Very inconvenient, since I was there for surgery and needed information. The bed was hard. There were ants. There were stains on the carpet. The toilet was so low, I thought I would fall on the floor. It’s been many years since I’ve seen a toilet like that.
