We got there the same day as 2 bus loads of Mexican nationals. Everything was super crowded. The other guests were super pushy and rude, to us and the staff. Never saw anyone leave a tip. No manners with anything. They would push you out of the way to get on elevators and were equally rude in the restaurants and in the pool. Made the mistake of putting on my kids goggles in the pool and what I saw made me want to vomit. The beach was filled with trash. Plastic everywhere, it was really sad. Other than the steakhouse, the food was mediocre and the drinks were blah. The staff were friendly, but I felt bad for them. We had never experienced anything like this in all the years we have been travelling to Mexico. It has made us rethink going to all inclusives in general. You either have to spend a lot more money to go to more exclusive ones or stay at quiet, non all inclusive typehotels and just pay for food and drink.

We stayed 1 night, than we switched to Riu Vallarta 5 more days.

Visiting these properties two to three times a year. All the RIU properties in this area are amazing!

Great food and service with daily activities.

This property was great for the most part. Staff was great, was clean, everyone was friendly. My only issue was was had a room closest to the pool...which also meant close to the RIU stage. Every night until 11 or later the walls of our room would vibrate from the music bass and we could hear every word like we were standing right in front of the show. Not a terrible issue but im a light sleeper and I was glad my kids were old enough to not be too bothered by it. I also understand people are there on vacation and to watch shows, but we were usually too tired by the end of the day to stay out for them. Just ask for an interior room away from the stage if this might be a problem for you.
