We had a very nice stay at White Sands. It was a basic room, but very clean and had a balcony with a table and chairs. Easy access to the beach, but no beach towels provided - instead you can purchase them for $10 at reception. Staff were helpful, especially those working on the beach to provide sun loungers and umbrellas. Overall, very good stay at a very reasonable price.

We just got back from staying at the White Sands Negril. It was a small hotel which I don't mind at all. Our room was on the beachside closer to the street. The room was quite small compared to the look of it online. The rooms do not have TVs which we knew ahead of time and were not worried about that. Afterall, we are not there to sit in the room and watch TV. I did request 2 twin beds, but instead got a queen bed. We were only at this hotel for 2 days passing through so it wasn't that big of a deal. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a bit small and not much space to put your toiletries. The air conditioner worked very well in our room and kept it very cool. Great beach area with plenty of beach chairs to use. The restaurant had excellent food. We love ackee & saltfish and had that for breakfast and the food was so fresh and tasted the best out of all the places we ate at. The bar was great with specials everyday on different drinks. Good service and friendly staff. Overall, our stay was good. I would definitely stay here again, but maybe ask for an upgraded room.

It was very clean; I clean the rooms with bleach and alcohol before touching anything and there was no trace of dirt in the floor, the dressers, the beds, or the bathroom. I just wish there was daily service and enough linen to take more than one shower a day

I love White Sands. It's peaceful, clean, and the surroundings are well kept. We stayed on the garden side and I love the landscape and seclusion that it offers.
The staff is wonderful, the food is great, and the drinks are fantastic.

The staff is wonderful. Francis is the greatest general manager, very personable. Our housekeeper, Nora was the sweetest and kindest woman. So many others that i need to thank fir a wonderful time: Jennifer in the resturant. Ramone and Shavon on the beach all helped to make it a wonderful experience The resort has always made the stay exceptional each and every time

Property has a nice beach area with minimal sea weed. The grounds are quiet and security is good. This property does not have many standard amenities such coffee maker, iron, ironing board, microwave. The parking is available but is on one side of the property with stairs and a long walk in between. Your room provides no view of the ocean and feels closed in with no meaningful out door space. It is in Negril and good breakfast was available at an extra charge.

White Sands was a perfect choice for our first time in Negril! The property was charming, well-kept and the location was perfect perfect perfect for 7 Mile Beach. The waitstaff could have been a LITTLE friendlier but… good service anyway. Would definitely recommend!

This place is perfect for a chilled out holiday. Apart from one member of staff everyone else was delightful and couldn’t do enough for you. It’s not a four star hotel and doesn’t pretend to be - it provides rooms to just relax in and take in the beautiful beach the sits just behind it. A short stroll to pretty much anything else on the beach that you want to explore. A really great time. The beach is beautiful and the sea is like a warm bath!

This was my second stay at WS. I booked it again when I decided to book my trip to Jamaica as I had good memories of this place which I visited for the first time 2 years ago.
The staff is nice and generally efficient, the food at the restaurant is good and the other guests are very friendly and welcoming too.
Having said that, I think that WS would need a revamp of small things, such as the bathroom door handle of our room wouldn't work well, no shelf in the bathroom. Also, the deck chairs would need a good cleaning if not replacing. A few of them are mouldy. I think that fixing little things would improve the feeling of the place dramatically. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

I really enjoyed the stay and the room are a great deal within the area.
Not an all inclusive so you have to pay extra for all your drinks and meals but it is not too pricy and the offer deals on cocktails.
Great beach service and safe cross road help during the busy time.

The property and management and staff work hard to make a welcoming experience. It's only when compared to other more expensive beachside options that you might wish for a little better offerings. The rooms are a bit tired. There is no TV, not important to me but might be to some. Many people here have been coming every year for many years and I can see that appeal because it strikes a balance between affordability and access to the beautiful Negril beach. The Jamaicans are inherently joyful, beautiful people. Sometimes they try a little too hard to separate you from your money. Mostly they are respectful as the tourists are to them. I would come back to white sands but likely not for a while as there's many places to see, unlike most poeple here that will be back next year and the year after that. I would add that many families come here over several generations. For them a home away from home.

This is a lovely family owned resort by the beach in Negril . There are two parts - one in the beach and a garden resort .
The rooms are basic but very clean and with balcony and fridge . There is a pool in the garden side .
The beach side has a great bar and restaurant, which serves excellent food . Beach beds are provided .
Staff are very friendly and there is a lovely ambiance to the hotel .

This location was perfect and the staff was amazing especially Ramon the guy that handles the beach chairs, security staff were on top of things. The cleaning staff Nora was amazing and lovely.

This property was a waste of money. The service is the absolute worst. Simple services takes forever or not done at all. Terrible attitude from the staff. Hardly any amenities. I asked for an iron and there’s only one for the entire property. I asked for a taxi and was completely ignored. The room barely has any lighting. Old outdated furniture. And the air conditioner was a joke. The room has hot and sticky. There was not even a blow dryer in the bathroom. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I wish I could give it no stars but that isn’t possible.

I enjoyed my stay at White Sands Resort in Jamaica. The service was excellent - the staff were all professional and very welcoming. The food was very good with generous portions and reasonable prices. The beach was amazing! I felt safe throughout the property and there was a security guard on the beach so I was comfortable leaving my belongings while I swam.

The cleaning staff is amazing. They clean your room so well. Shower is nice and hot is good. Bar has good food and drinks. The bell man is so good. This is truly a hidden gem.
