Old hotel, very expensive breakfast for what you get, spa facility wasnt working. Always getting family room when i booked a one person room.

A lovely hotel that met our needs nicely. Checkin staff were excellent and very friendly. We felt a little unsafe walking back to the hotel and being on level 2, could hear much of the external noise very easily. Sounded like our windows were open, however had bern shut. Overall would recommend.

Get the River View Balcony. You’ll be glad you did

The hotel was in a great location and comfortable but not luxurious. The decor and carpet are getting worn in areas and they provide just enough towels and pillows for the number staying, no extras. The jacuzzi was not in service and required swimming caps to use the pool. Provides a good variety at breakfast but quality is good, not great. Front desk made an error when taking our card for incidentals but very pleasant and helpful when we asked them to fix it and needed taxis.

It was a large room that has a separate bedroom. Comfortable bed, plenty of plugs for our electronics.

We were only one night at Cork but enjoyed our stay

We loved the location, the room was clean and well appointed and quite large - a plus! The only point I would make is if the front desk staff can explain that when leaving via the parking garage that the pass they validate is only a portion of the fee. There were a string of cars at the gate all with the same hiccup of not understanding they had to pay and the chap in the booth said ‘this happens all the time’ … Otherwise, had a wonderful time in your property and in Cork. Frendly staff, clean hotel

I’ve stayed in dozens of hotels in cork , and the Clayton comes out top , convenient for city centre and roads leading in and out . And car parking was perfect

The property is dated! However Staff is very and helpful! There is on sight rest and bar! The free breakfast is well worth it! I’m traveling from USA w adult children. Walking distance to town, shops,restaurants and many many pubs! Over all I would rec to my family and friends.

The hotel is beautiful and has a fantastic restaurant. The staff are incredible. There is parking below the hotel and they give you a discounted price for parking. The outside area around the hotel has some questionable characters but they’re easy to avoid.

Good Place

Lovely hotel and great staff. Room was nice and clean. The bathrooms let down the hotel as they are very dated and very little pressure from the shower.

Lovely, helpful staff and very good sized rooms. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was really good as they have a separate section for gluten free, including a really good GF granola. The hotel is very warm but the aircon worked well in my room. The first room it did not and I was very kindly moved to a different room. I cannot comment on the other hotel facilities as I didn’t get time to use them. But overall I had a really lovely stay. Would stay here again.

Nice place, only issues was the Aircon was not working, rang the front desk and was advised they would look into it sand call back. Didn't happen, we were able to open the windows but nosey outside late. Lucky wewesr hearing aids !!!

Hotel was very clean and good breakfast. Walkable to stores etc.

This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever travelled to. Absolutely loved it- the staff were friendly and helpful and the room exceeded our expectations. I’ll definitely be staying at the Clayton again!

Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable beds close to everything!

Asked to change rooms and this was done without hesitation which was welcomed.reception was excellent. A quick breakfast to go was at hand in a take away barista within the reception area which was good value and just what we needed before we checked out.

Staff were friendly

The Sunday check in staff was so unfriendly and quite bothered. The room & hotel is definitely not worthy of a 4star rating. The room was clean but the facility is old and in serious need of an update. Toilet flush was faulty, broken tiles and the step up into the tub was dangerously high, sockets were loose. During my 4 day stay, no one ever bothered to clean the revolving doors to the hotel, need I say more, that’s your first impression!!! The front desk staff were not friendly as a whole, the cleaning staff on the other hand were much better. They at least acknowledged our presence with a hello/ good morning..it’s a shame bc the location is convenient and a lot could have been remedied with a little effort, just felt a lack of care / attention overall…

It was a nice hotel and well appointed rooms. We paid €263 for last minute B&B which was way over priced for a very stuffy room with no window to open. The aircon ran like a tractor, resulting in zero sleep. Breakfast was just ok. Can someone give the breakfast chef a salt and pepper cellar? Eggs were tasteless. Mushrooms tasteless, tomatoes… you guessed tasteless. This shows that breakfast is a need to do with no passion. I have to say all staff were very nice, friendly and attentive. Would I stay again… no would be the honest answer

Property was walkable to everything, perfectly located, lots of varieties of restaurants around,shopping and grocery stores.

Hotel itself was very nice, easy to walk around the city but lots of homeless people sleeping right outside hotel
