Absolutely amazing! So clean and well maintained, service was 10/10, amazing options!

Staff were all courteous and friendly. A special thanks goes to Jose Antonio, at the front desk check in. The room was very clean, comfortable and everything worked well. The entertainment was good for the most part. The beach was clean but, at times the outside people were annoying trying to sell stuff to the guests. I have been to many RIU’s in my travels and rate this facility an 8-9 overall. Rc.

Beautiful resort and very clean. Everything was fantastic. All of the food and drinks were great. Service was always incredible with extremely nice and helpful staff. Will definitely be back!

The property is ok, but there's not much to do there. The employees kept the property very clean, but it's quite boring overall.

The facility and grounds are lovely; very upscale and clean. There’s AC in the lobby and the restaurants, but not so cold that you need to bring a wrap to dinner. You can adjust the AC in your room. The bed is comfortable. The humidity is such that your papers get limp and your towels and swimsuits never dry completely. The food is on a par with cruise ship food (maybe Carnival cruise ships). Some is pretty good, some is pretty bad. (We thought our meals at the Steakhouse were inedible, but really liked the Italian restaurant.) At least if you get a bad meal, you can go to the buffet afterwards and find something you like. Definitely try going in the ocean because the water is as warm as bath water. (Unfortunately the pool is also that warm, which is not ideal in the heat.) If you don’t go to the show and you want to read in bed, bring some good earplugs because they keep the sound unnecessarily loud at the show and it goes until 11 or something. I recommend staying at Riu, but just temper your expectations about the food.

This was our first all-inclusive and it surpassed all of our expectations! The staff were some of the friendliest I have come across and we travel A LOT. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our third floor balcony where the sleek and stunning architecture of the resort was on either side. The dining options were more vast than we anticipated and we always left a dining experience satisfied. Our room was serviced twice a day and was very clean. The gym facility was better than most gyms in hotels and resorts I've experienced in the past. The 3 different pools offered variety and the bartenders crafted stellar cocktails. The bar cart with different themes each night was a wonderful touch. We stayed for 9 nights and even then were still sad to leave. Top notch resort!

We've been coming to the Riu Palace Pacifico for over 12 years. Each time, we have greatly enjoyed our time. The hotel is beautiful (especially with the new renovation), and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. Hopefully we will be back soon!

30 minutes from the main part of Puerto Vallarta, if you want to drink, swim in 4ft pools next to the beach, this is for you...nice staff and clean. Pools close at 8PM..... Not great for an adult only resort.

Like the location, foods and drinks. The pools are a bit too small. But we had fun and enjoy our staying.

If you are thinking about booking a stay here, do it!!! Everything was clean, all amenities were great, and the location is awesome being right on the beach. We booked the elite club and recommend you do to, top floor with a gorgeous view and access to the elite club restaurant which was our favorite. Also gives you access to beach cabanas and private beach bar. All of the staff were kind, helpful and caring. Kristal at the coffee shop and Maria at the peninsula were amazing and the highlight of our mornings. We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed 5 nights for my friend's birthday. Couples and solo. Beautiful property, very well maintained. This is adults only and they cater to everyone, if you want a quite moment go to that pool/area; if you want more action, there is a pool/area for that too, very classy though. If you want club, next door property is good. Remember you do not come here for the beach, although we swam one day. Rooms were clean. Food and beverages had great quality and different options every day. We mainly went to the buffet since they have a different culture each night and the steak house for the lobster :) Service was excellent. The highlight of the trip was server Julian at the buffet area, we would have breakfast outside just so we could sit at his tables.

Service in the Steakhouse Wednesday night was bad. It started raining on the balcony, and the waitress was reluctant to move my wife and I to a dry table. Also she brought the wrong food. On Sunday when we ate there everything was great. Overall our stay was excellent and I would recommend RIU to everybody

This was our third time at this resort so first time since renovations. We are truly disappointed with the new renos. We did not like the the new modern style. The lobby is not what we expected. The color choice and tile choice takes away from that tropic Mexican vibe. Too modern and it feels very cheaply done. We preferred the old style with the beautiful mahogany wood and terracotta style tiles. Also we noticed no more beautiful fresh floral arrangements in the lobby. The furniture, seating also changed, we truly loved the old decore and style better. These new renos has cheapened the decor and it looks very cheaply done. Sorry Riu Pacifico we are not a fan of your new renovations. However, that being said the staff, food and cleanliness is still TOP NOTCH, Excellent!! the new Cappuccino Bar in the lobby is amazing!! Delicious!! We still love this resort, we only wish they would have renovated like the same style as before!

Riu is extremely clean, the staff is kind, housekeeping does a great job. If you need anything the staff responds immediately. Your minibar is well stocked. The buffet area is clean with no flies around the food!! The food….buffet food is bland, I tried many many different foods on the buffet and there was just no flavor. The lobster at the steakhouse was good. The steak, we both ordered medium well, was hard to cut and chew. At the italian restaurant I had spaghetti with meatballs the first time and my husband had the chicken parmesan. The noodles and meatballs were good, but the sauce is NOT a spaghetti sauce, same with the chicken parmesan the sauce made it taste bad. The 2nd time we had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and it was really good!!! At the country bar my husband loved the wings and the cheesecake. I had the cheeseburger and brownie and they were good.

I am very happy with my stay at RIU palace they have excellent customer service at front desk, at the restaurants all the servers,waiters,waitresses, bartenders one in mind Alfredo at the sports bar and we also saw him at the steak house also David excellent employees..I have one complaint you must have some great shows at that beautiful place something like Vegas style fire show, magic show or cirque de solei type.. karaoke was not a show. Overall it was great I will go back

This is my 4th time at this Riu Palace,I was very excited to see how the hotel turned out after the renovation. I Have to say that it looks really nice But in reality there are only two pools since the one at the pool bar is not a pool, for us it was not a big deal since we really the beach is still one of our favorites.Although everything is fine as always, the waiters in the pool area left a lot to be desired, they took a long time to bring the drinks, it is faster to go to the bar which is not far away,very satisfied with the food, Guacamole is and will continue to be one of our favorites, at breakfast Monica and Maria thank you for making us feel special. Finally, I would like to suggest a little more music in the lobby at night after the show, since with the beautiful bar there are many people to entertain, now it is adults only, the vibe of Mexico is missing! We should be back soon.

This property is really quiet so if you’re getting away from the kids to party this place has small night entertainment. Everything else is really good.

Very nice resort , fairly close to the airport around a 25 minute cab ride.Great selection of food options , we liked the Steakhouse and the Krystal for suppers. We loved the sports bar great service and a nice menu with something for everyone. One small con was the lack and location of the restrooms. We recommend this resort and would return.
