It gave me the impression that I was living in Barbados at the same time as being very comfortable. Loved the vibe of the location. Wifi was impeccable and bus stop super close. Walking in either direction provided us with literally every thing we needed.

Really liked the view of the ocean from our unit. Mrs M. the lady that came in to clean for us, was exceptionally sweet. The unit itself was nice, we really liked it, however to no fault of anyone, the shower backed up and flooded the room and the tiles in the hallway popped and cracked, was a bit disconcerting. Other than those two incidences it was quite nice place to stay.

The stay was wonderful. The pool was nice and heated, the rooms were pretty much sound proof and there was a great freshness to the room. The patio was a great place to relax and have some fresh air. The only drawbacks were there seemed to be quite a few mosquitos and flies about. I don't know the reason why but they were great in number and left me and my partner with significant bites. Overall though I would say this is a good getaway .

I enjoyed this location cleanliness the only negative not having a full shower glass while showering water was going on the floor. Ensure to go shopping before you settle in at Massey supermarket if you don’t you can always go to Simeons Bajan and kitchen beach on Hwy1B.

There was no weight room- no where to exercise. Iliked the closeness to the beach

We were very pleased with the apartment but it was the lack of information from the time of booking plus being given the wrong code to access the apartment which spoilt the lead up to and beginning of our holiday. From the moment we booked the lack of communication regarding our booking made me doubt that we had one at all. Twice I rang Homeaway support who confirmed our booking was sound and was through Expedia. This was all news to me. Also there were 2 taxes we had to pay on the island which we hadn’t been notified of. All in all what should have been a time of looking forward to a special holiday was spoilt by doubt that our booking was sound. I will not book through Homeaway again but will go to the Lantana Resort in Weston but will book direct with Island Villa Holidays.

property manager Mrs. shamone was excellent with her attentiveness to our needs as well as her knowledge of the island. she gave a number of locations to visit which kept us captivated.

Great location, however, disappointed that the apartment was allocated on arrival. Expedia treated the apartment as if it was a Hotel, it is not.

Property was up to a good standard and ideal for 2 weeks

Staff was great friendly and reaponsevj. The property condition could have been better. Air in master failed for two days. Washer dryer was out of service. The drains were slow. Master shower so slow had to wait during shower to keep from over flowing Water pressure in second bath very weak. We were harassed by a drug dealer on the beach across the street from unit Not the resort fault.

Great spot, close to bus transportation, pool was nice, apartment was great, deck looks out to the ocean and overtop of the pool. Really glad that we chose this spot instead of a hotel. 5 mins to holetownish by busses which run frequently (not as frequently after 8pm).

Booked a 4 bedroom and a 2 bedroom for 8 people. Room were specious clean and comfortable. Kitchens were well equipped. Only negative were towels were not changed on stipulated day.

Nice apartments but some small restoration is required. Overall very quiet place with nearby almost private beach.

The condo was ideal for our family; very spacious and clean. The people working at the resort were very friendly and helpful. Although there is no “front desk” that is staffed 24 hrs, there is always a security guard on duty after hours. We arrived after hours and the security guard walked us to our unit, gave us our keys and all the info we needed, and also gave us some great recommendations for dinner. The only “downside” is that the resort is not conveniently located for walking to beaches and restaurants. We had a rental car, so that was not an issue for us.

Lantana is between Holetown and Speightstown and they are self catering 3 storey apartments. We were in the back units which are nice and quiet. We were on the ground floor which was okay but we would have preferred a higher unit. The pool is small but very clean. The beds were quite firm with two twins pushed together to form a king. I'm not sure if other units are the same. We did not have a car so we used the buses to get around but there is a beautiful beach just down the road called Reeds bay. When the tide is out you can also walk all the way to Mullins beach. There are local family friendly places to eat which we discovered, Marcie's, Wandas on the Beach, de Outback which we could walk to. We felt very safe with walking around and the local people were very friendly and kind. The Lantana is nestled amongst the people of Barbados so you get a real life experience. The staff were very helpful and friendly at the Lantana. There is St Albans school across the street and we enjoyed the sounds of children playing and seeing them in their cute uniforms. There is a fruit stand, fish market down the street and John Moore's pub for happy hour and sunset.

We were at Lantana for Barbados Independence celebration. Lantana Resort has the feeling of home away from home. Great cleanliness, modern facility, well equipped units, friendly, proficient and professional staff. Very secured resort. Public transportation is just outside the resort. Car rentals can be arranged by the resort for you. This was my 2nd stay here and I would recommend it to my family and friends. We had a Very nice maid room 310.

It was perfect. Better than expected. Only surprise was that there was no real lobby/reception area. otherwise it was fantastic. Spacious and comfortable rooms, great views of the ocean from huge balconies. All the amenities that we needed. Will definitely be back.

The photos are exactly as it is. Modern, well equipped apartment, the view from the balcony on 3rd floor front was superb. The bedroom was a little small for the bed and it could do with a floor length mirror as the only mirror was the small one over the sink in the bathroom. Although it was on a busy main road we didn't find it noisy. There is a bus stop outside and buses pass every couple of minutes to all over the island so no need for a car if you don't want to hire one. There is a primary school opposite and we joyed watching the children going to school. There is a beach a short walk away and Mullens beach is a short bus ride/ drive away. Goog location- Holetown a few minutes by car/ bus. Overall a great experience and will be going back, hopefully next year.

Staff was welcoming and polite. Property was well kept and new. Room was modern and well kept. Air conditioning kept us very cool in both the bedroom and living space. Nice big patio over looking the pool and facing the ocean. Main down sides were how loud it was because you are on a main road and there is a school right beside you where the kids get quite loud on their lunch and recess breaks.

Unfortunately we were in the front building where it was too close to the busy road - too noisy! I wouldn't recommend it. They can't guarantee which building you will be in so I would recommend finding another hotel or villa just to be safe. We were a family of five on vacation during March break. Love Barbados though!

Lantana has two twin condo buildings, one nearer the main road (front) and another one behind it (back). The buildings are separated by a parking lot. Stayed with my wife and three teen aged kids in a first floor 3 bedroom unit in the back building, unit #38. The condo was clean and modern much like the pics online. I think the back building is quiter being away from the main road. The ocean is a two minute walk across the road. From there you can walk up the beach (north) 15-20 minutes to Mullins Beach which has a restaurant, beach loungers, and water sport activities to rent. Lantana is an affordable alternative to the pricier beach front hotels. The only negative, which was pretty minor, we were surprised to find out that the pool is only 3-4 ft deep and not heated. The ocean is warmer than the pool! Overall, I would highly recommend staying at Lantana, great value for a family of five.

I enjoyed my stay, the location of the hotel leaves something to be desired, the beach area is a bit rockery and there are no trees to provide any type of shade. Having the bus stop outside the hotel is a plus.

Located between Holetown and speightstown. Mullins Beach and Gibbs Bay are very short distance; bus stop is next to this resort. This is a luxury rental apartment; we stayed only for 3 nights and not needed a washer nor dishwasher; however, it was a pleasant surprise to stay in an absolutely clean, nicely furnished rooms. A small fish market + fruits,veggie stand are nearby; big supermarkets, restaurants are in Holetown. (bus is frequent)

We had the opportunity of staying at Lantana Resort from March 11 - 18, 2014. It was a wonderful time and the unit which we stayed in was absolutely great. Very clean and functional. It was home away from home. Wonderful fully functional kitchen with dishwasher, modern counter top digital stove, full oven and fridge etc. The front porch/deck was Heavenly. We had a car so nothing was too far. In all we will definitely return to that resort and hopefully get the same until on our next vacation. Our resort Manager was great and very accessible. WONDERFUL VACATION.
