The staff were friendly and very helpful.
We stayed for 4 nights and the room was never cleaned in that time.
I question the parking policy whereby guests booking directly with the hotel they receive free parking, whereas booking via an agency I am required to pay £12/day extra for parking. Please see this from a guests perspective rather than your own profitability. All guests should be treated equally regardless of which channel they used to find and book the accomodation.

Brathay Lodge makes for a very comfortable and convenient stay in the Lake District. The room was modern and well-maintained and the staff friendly and considerate.
There is a parking fee (unless booked direct) but you’d have to pay elsewhere anyway. If you have an electric car it’s a good idea to let them know in advance so you can use their reasonably-priced ProjectEV charger.
The continental breakfast was fresh and varied and set us up for the day.
Would definitely stay there again.

This is our first trip to Lake District and Brathay Lodge helped to make it a great family experience for us. Very clean and spacious room, nice breakfast, staffs are nice can helpful especially for arranging EV charging.

Very impressed. Great to find a three bedroom room, which really helped keep costs down. Room nice and clean with a good view. Staff very friendly. And I’d forgotten breakfast was included so a really nice continental breakfast as a bonus!

Our stay at Brathay Lodge was fantastic. Our room was spotless, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was also brilliant, it was right in the heart of Ambleside and close to all the main parts of the Lake District.
The reserved parking spot was also a lovely added touch.

Lovely stay. Excellent location for exploring the Lake District. Close local transportation, restaurants, and pubs. Our children enjoyed park across the street with mini putt, tennis, lawn bowling, chip and putt, and croquet. Also, a great continental breakfast!

Our first time at brathay lodge after passing many times.our room was large and spacious and comfortable with a new bathroom,and the view was amazing.The staff were friendly but not overly and the continental breakfast was fresh and had everything you could want .Hope to visit again soon.

It was a last minute booking but we didn't regret it. The room was lovely, cosy and spotlessly clean with a view of the hills. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. We both needed a well-earned rest and that was exactly what we got. The continental breakfast was delicious with an excellent variety of food. We would definitely recommend Brathay Lodge for a visit.

The location was awesome and most of all the staff was really friendly and helpful. We asked for a recommendation on where to go to for a sightseeing and we followed the suggested route and it was breathtaking. Thank you so much for suggesting for us to go take the A592 to Watermillock. Simply incredibly!

Nice hotel with friendly staff, but because we booked a room with a king-size bed we ended up on the third floor and there is no lift. The mattress was incredibly hard so not comfortable.

We have had an amazing stay here. Rooms are large, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent and the staff on reception were lively and very helpful . The views from our room was amazing and its a 5 minute walk into the little town.We will definitely be back.

Overall lovely room with fell view and very comfy bed. One of the cushions on bed had blood stain on which wasnt great and I think paying extra £10 a day for parking was wrong.

Just on the edge of Ambleside, two minute walk to restaurants and shops but without the parking issues of other locations. Very clean throughout and very warm- essential when you return soaked through. Excellent options at breakfast buffet and great service.
