The George is in the heart of college station right next to campus and in a walkable Mixed use property with lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel is great with a great vibe and great staff The 4 stars is because our room was really musty with an unpleasant odor. The rest of the hotel and corridor space was wonderful

Great service from team and manager. I had a small issue during my stay and I was very impressed by the care and attention I got in resolving the issue. Would recommand; the place is beautiful and amenities great quality.

Great bar if you’re a drinker, plenty of food options around the hotel. Only thing, I wish they had breakfast in the hotel.

Check-in was great and easy, valet parking super convenient and easy, the room was nice; however, the pillows were awful and both nightstands had a little green light that shinned in our faces all night! You can’t turn them off! Other than a terrible night’s sleep, the hotel is nice and conveniently located.

Great experience at the George!

This property looks great and has cool decor however, it seriously needs to be maintained better. The first room I was given smelled so bad of mildew. (I’m sure there is a leaked that has not been repaired. I had to switch rooms. The second room the TV was not working. It took 3 requests to finally fix. In addition, The shower was stuck on full hot. I couldn’t even take a shower.

Super property. Hugo at 1791 Bar was the best.

The hotel needs a dehumidifiers. We stayed here for a baseball tournament and head to use the hair dryer to dry my son’s glove and hat. Even the beds are damp.

Awesome place to stay!

We visited our Grad Student for her birthday. We love that there are so many restaurants within walking distance. Valet was convenient, but I wish there were additional safe parking options than what they offer.

Although everything looks nice, the Interior design is dysfunctional from the bedside lamp switch 4’ above the bed, to no hooks in the bathroom, to the shower door opening in a way that your ONLY option is to completely exit the shower dripping wet to get to a towel, to a very slippery bathroom floor surface, to no drawers for clothes, to horrible lighting (I don’t think you could purposefully make it worse), to a chair and desk that leave you injured if you work any period of time. Traumatic as a business trip. I could imagine if travel was purely social it may be adequate.

Absolutely amazing stay at The George! This unique, posh hotel just feels special. So many cute, small details! The employees were all friendly, helpful and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring our stay was perfect. The surrounding area has many restaurants and upscale shopping. Shuffle board table in the lobby bar and outdoor pool were great additions. I can’t recommend this property enough, I wish there was one in every city!

Exceeded expectations.

The property is wonderful and easy to get to amenities around college Station. However, their television service was down the entire stay in all of the rooms but available in the bar and at the property next-door. It was troublesome that they couldn’t get it fixed and had no workaround at such a high end property.

Okay middle of the road hotel.

The room was beautiful and very comfortable. We enjoyed the property & the area around it. We liked the convenience of restaurants. The bartender at The George was very nice.

Very nice hotel to stay. The room is comfortable and quiet. The Lobby is nice and wide to interact colleagues to communicate. I will select The George next time.

Everything was great minus the broken toilet. Called downstairs and they promised to send someone up to fix it and no one came. Housekeeping banged on our door at 9am asking when we’re checking out.

Checking into the hotel for the first time I had no idea where to park or where the elevator was. I had no problem finding elevator however, I thought it was a service elevator at first. The staff did not say elevators right behind you and we have a coffee bar between these hours. After two nights and on my way out I saw the coffee. That would have been good to know since I had to make a stop the prior morning before and A&M school event to grab a coffee when it was right in the lobby. For the nightly cost of hotel I would have thought the staff would have been more helpful. Also, I stopped at front desk the same morning I of school event and asked if cleaning staff would give me fresh towels and removed charcuterie board from the night before. I said no need to clean please removed dirty dishes and bring fresh towels. When I returned later that night the food and dirty dishes were still on the coffee table. Very disappointed since I had heard it was a very nice hotel. I would say average or slightly below.
