Check in was a disaster. Poorly staffed and managed. No check in desk and my room was not ready when I arrived and we were stuck on the street full of aggressive people for an hour and a half. Used the phone number at the door and was told they are understaffed. Apartment was in poor condition. Door handle on bathroom fell off. Phoned and informed management and they said they would send somebody to repair it and nobody came. Toilet brush snapped off. Furniture was old and kitchen lino was sticky and needs replacement. Split level with stairs not suitable for people with mobility issues. Not worth 200 a night. Room needs a lot of work. Definitely not the highlight of my trip.

The property is in a great location on Courtenay Place, lots of dining options around and buses at the front door. The key instructions worked perfectly. The lift was a bit old and seemed dodgy but worked. The apartment was very large and overlooked a quiet back street. Full kitchen, 2 separate bedrooms, and lots of space. Would recommend.

Just what we were looking for.

Very convenient location. Buses nearby. Also food options. Well set up for cooking and laundry. Crockery lacking. A bit cramped bedrooms with insufficient room for luggage. Wasted balcony area with no seats or table. The internal steps to the bathroom could be a hazzard in an unfamiliar place.

Good postion for everything we needed to attend

Curtains missing so sunlight in morning straight into bedroom, holes in carpet, no power point in one bedroom able to be accessed.

Nice place, but from listing, unaware that it was on the 3rd floor above a busy restaurant area. Parking was an issue. Apartment next door partied till midnight.

We liked the apartment layout, and the location. It was easy to walk to most of the places we wanted to see, or it was just a short uber ride. We found a few things were lacking... a second bedside table in the main bedroom would be handy. A dustpan or vacuum would be good to keep the place tidy inbetween when the cleaners come. Specially when staying with children. And instructions for the washing machine would be great as we couldn't figure it out.

Located in the city centre in the poplar area of Courtenay place. Well cantered to museums, attractions, buses, trains and ferries. Parking is behind the property in a public car park. Our property on the first floor was a two bedroom apartment with washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. Very minimal sound was heard from the Main Street.

The property was nice, clean and the location was great. Checkin was easy. Communication with the property management when booked through VRBO was completely non-existent.

Great location handy to heaps, step straight into it, spacious apartment,The only thing that annoyed us was finding a small blood stain on carpet near kitchen and some on a wall and the lounge chair being light in colour but was very dirty , other than that enjoyed our 3 nights stay.

Restaurants and pubs are right on your door step The apartment is quite dated and can be noisy early hours in the morning due to people coming back from the clubs. Overall good place to stay for the weekend.

Central location to everything was great, easy to walk around or catch a bus. A few items need a bit of maintenance but overall it was a great place to stay

Set on the heart of the city but apartments lovely and quiet for a great nights sleep.

Good location although not so good if you have a car. Parking outside is free overnight if you can find a space but limited to 2 hrs 8am to 6pm. Hard to find property as entrance above shops/ restaurants in a busy road. On the plus side, very easy to get something to eat. Apartment was spacious, a little tired, but perfect for a couple of nights. Everything you need but without a view. Can walk into the city or bus stops outside.

Good for the family stay. Price was reasonable with lots of amenities. But we did not have enough water for shower and 2 of our family had to have cold shower which was very uncomfortable due to winter

No parking! So add at least 30$ each night. Great location. Quite tired decor though. No reception so when our key didnt work, we had to wait foe someone to come which took 30 minutes. Had mich better hotels for similar price.

Fantastic property. Cute little cabins. Really enjoyed it. Only note is: the cabins are a walk away from the bathroom facilities so in the middle of the night I had to go out in a storm in the dark and walk outside which was a bit scary on my own. I managed so it’s fine but flagging as may not work for all.

Really nice property. Amazing location but still very quiet

A great stay in the two bedroom unit. Hard pressed to find better value in the area I would think. Check in was easy. The unit was large with everything we could need. A little dated, but clean, tidy and presented no issues for us. Supermarket within a 10 minute walk. The street is the entertainment district, so can be busy out the front, but the units are well back, and you can't beat the location. Wifi was provided and worked great.

Was very happy with the apartment. Great location and very roomy. Even though it is on a busy street with bars and restaurants it was very quiet.

well placed, quiet

The best thing with Courtenay village is the location. We could easily go to the beach, the museum and restaurang with8n a few minuts. The apartment hasn`t got any staff in the house but it worked well to get the keys and get in contact with them.

The place itself was very good - great location with supermarket and Te Papa only 5 minutes walk away. The apartment was spacious - recommended for families. There was some intense construction going on during our stay but we were out during the day and we did find that if you closed all the windows then the soundproofing was fantastic. Of course, hard to do in summer when hot - no air conditioning and unfortunately no fan in the closets as written. Could've asked for some but we only needed them at night and opening the windows did the job. What wasn't soundproof was the drunken antics of uni students on our last night from 9pm to midnight. Apparently the rule about being quiet after 10 didn't apply to these kids. Again, didn't bother calling the manager partly because we were watching TV anyway and I do have to say that the concept of there being no reception deterred us. One problem was that on the second day, the building manager came knocking. Didn't realise it was our place because I was in one of the rooms and my friend was asleep. But about five seconds after the knock I heard the door open. When I went out and looked in the hallway it was the manager coming around to say they might be changing TVs. Afterwards we felt it was odd that he opened the door without us replying. Then the next morning he did it again and opened the door even before my friend could answer - and she was sitting on the couch 30cm from the door! So maybe improvement on privacy is needed..
