The house, location and hospitality were everything I hoped it would be and more. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were OUTSTANDING but the big surprise was all of the beach gear at our disposal. Everything from kayaking to sand castle building… this place had it all.. I highly recommend this house

The house is amazing! Layout is perfect for multiple families, plenty of room, very clean. The outdoor shower with hot/cold water is a huge bonus. Beds were all comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms well stocked. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about the house or location. Just one phrase of caution: parking is tight. Two cars are fine, three is ok, but more than that is tight.

This was a great beach house in a perfect location for our family vacation. The beach was just a few steps away and the house had plenty of space and all the amenities for both adults and children. The host, Jason, was very friendly and responsive. We will definitely be back to Salt + Light!

Our overall experience was excellent. We phoned the homeowner when we discovered the walkway was partially overgrown. He did his best to get this remedied, but it was a neighboring rental group that took care of the issue. Also, the beds were harder those those to which we are accustomed, so our sleeping experience wasn’t the best. But the new owner was a jewel with whom to work, and responded almost immediately to questions. We couldn’t have asked for kinder landlords for our weekend trip to the beach! We previously rented this house and have always enjoyed the amenities and responses from the homeowners! It is exceedingly well-stocked!

Really enjoyed this home! They have everything you could desire in a vacation home. Kitchen is very well stocked. Great dining seating. Beautiful view. The only drawback is the parking. Parking is super limited and hard to get by the house at the front of the driveway. Overall a great experience!

We've stayed at many homes in Galveston. This is a GEM. The owners are nice, the home is immaculate, the beds are comfortable, it is right on the beach, the walk over is in great condition without weeds all over it, the kitchen is big and well stocked, the outdoor shower has warm water, the view from the patios on both levels is PERFECT and the TV and internet work - EASILY - and without effort or disruption. We loved it!

We loved our stay in this home which was well maintained and well-stocked. Greatly appreciated the large amount of toys in the shed, as well as the surprise basketball and soccer goals. The views were magnificent, and the neighbors were quiet making for a great stay. Inside the home, everything was clean and well labeled. All of the beds were incredibly comfortable, and there was plenty of storage for anything we had brought along with us. It is hard to beat the immediate walk-over and multiple decks, and the large table was plenty big enough for our gathering. We'll definitely be recommending this place to other family members for future visits.

The property is everything as advertised. Pleanty of room, great views and all of the kitchen cabinets as drawers are labeled with what is inside. Nothing but compliments from everyone.

Every thing was wonderful

This is our second time renting this house. We love the location! The beach ( during off season) is amazing because no cars are allowed to drive on it. It is a very quiet area too. The house is very clean with lots of beds to accommodate everyone. Highly recommend this property for families!

We really enjoyed our stay and everything we needed was already there! It sure made packing so much easier! And all drawers/cupboards were labeled. I also liked that they left us space to put our groceries so that we didn't have to have all of our stuff on the counters. We LOVED the big dining room table so that we could all eat together. We love to cook so the big kitchen was great too as we weren't all on top of each other while preparing meals. We will definitely book again next year for our family beach trip! Thanks for having your renter's in mind with your set up.

The home was very nice and clean, however the best part about the stay was the beach. No one could drive on the section of beach in front of the house so we hardly had anyone near us on the beach. It was great with kids to not worry about traffic!

House was fantastic for 10 adults and 1 infant. 5 bedrooms (one of the bedrooms doubles as the upstairs living area, but still worked great). Awesome kitchen, nice deck area with super-quick access to the beach. As for the beach itself, it's a private beach shared by the homeowners/renters, which meant very few families and lots of room for frisbee, baseball and soccer. The only challenges we had was the TVs were in and out...some connection issue...but given we were there to spend time with family, it was not a big deal at all. Overall, we thought it was a terrific place to spend our family vacation, and won't hesitate to stay there again in the future.

This property is extremely nice and very clean. The beach did not allow cars which was perfect. A block down beach was bumper to bumper on the beach. The kitchen is very, very well stocked with any cooking device you would need. All the bedroom were great except for one upstairs that was almost useless for us. Using previous comments I actually brought drapes and over door hangers for the uncovered French doors. But the trundle beds would be hard to configure. Perhaps the owner needs to decide if it should be a bedroom or tv/game room and not try to make it both. And put blinds or shades on the doors. And frankly Galveston beach is just plain dirty. There is trash everywhere when you walk the beach. I know it sounds like we were miserable but we had a great time being together. And I would recommend this property but be clear that one of the bedrooms did not work at all well for us.

We stayed here for two weeks with 4 adults and 3 kids and had plenty of room. The beds are all very comfortable and the house had everything we needed. It was the best stocked rental home I had ever stayed it, the kitchen had everything from a blender to a slow cooker and each room had lots of pillows and blankets. The view of the beach from the balconies was perfect and the basketball hoop downstairs ended up being a huge hit with the kids when they needed a beach break or when it rained. The only thing that we were disappointed in was trash on the beach. While we saw garbage crews drive by every day on the beach and try to clean it, it was just coming up ever day from the ocean. Not sure if this is a Galveston wide problem or something had happened in gulf and it was washing up while we were there. The house was great though and we still had a blast.

We had a fantastic time at this home! It was well stocked, clean, and spacious. Access to the beach was easy and the beach itself wasn't crowded at all. Thanks for everything - we really enjoyed our stay!

The property is very clean, the beach is right out the back door. We enjoyed our stay in May tremendously. Will definitely consider staying at this property again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beach house. It is a lovely home, clean and comfortable. The beach was beautiful and clean as well. The house met all our needs and was big enough for our group of eleven. We will consider staying here again in the future. One thing I would recommend is a bench inside by the front door and hooks for hanging hats and dry cover ups. Currently, there isn't a place to set a purse or beach hat upon entering the front door. I also suggest a mat in front of the wet bar so that the floor does not get wet. Other than that, all was great!

We stayed from May 25th-29th with 11 people. The house was set up great with plenty of space and a very well stocked kitchen. The kids loved using all of the beach toys available and the beach was very private-not crowded at all. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back. We will definitely stay here again.

This home was spotless and beautiful and right on the beach. We live in East Texas and rent a home every year in Galveston to vacation with our family. Every year we have gotten OK homes but ultimately never liked them enough to book it the following year- but this home is the home we all finally agree that we want to return to every year. Great beds. Great kitchen. Outside shower. Jamaica beach is far superior to beaches closer to town. Private beach. It was so nice to have our own secluded beach area while all the other beaches were beyond crowded. We saw dolphins swimming and playing in the oceans in the morning. The only complaint I have is that one of the bedrooms that has 6 beds (3 twins with trundles) has glass doors and they did not have curtains on the door- that meant the people sleeping in there had no privacy. That is the only change I would make. We tried putting sheets at the top of the door, but every time we opened or closed the doors they fell. Other than that, everything was perfect! We’ll be back next year.

My family and I met at Jay's place for our annual Thankmas celebration. The property is fabulous with great kitchen amenities! The view and the beach are gorgeous. You feel like you have your own private beach. Highly recommend!

House was perfect size for our family of 11 and offered all the amenities for energetic kids on and off the beach.

The home was exactly as describe. The kitchen is very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and spacious.
