Really loved this property and the owners were very kind and responded to texts quickly! The ONLY downfall is we expected the entire home but the family lives in the lower level. I do believe that should be made completely clear, and the entire home should NOT be listed on the property. With that being said the home is stunning and we loved our time at Anam Cara!

We had our whole family on this trip. It was very comfortable and met our needs. Probably the one thing that was slightly negative was that one adult couple had to sleep on the lower bunk bed with thinner mattresses which was less comfortable than the regular adult beds. It would have been nice if they had had better mattresses. But the whole experience was quite pleasant. Thank you for your home being open!

The house is beautiful, location is great and spacious. We had a wonderful time staying here and would stay here again when we visit. Host is easy to communicate.

Our stay was wonderful. The communication when needed was quick and resulted in us having a fantastic stay with the owners providing us with anything we needed! Definitely recommend. The property is beautiful with a wonderful back yard the kids played in and the house was spacious enough for our 12 guests! (8 of which were children under the age of 11!)

This is such a lovely place. The location is out a little ways but so very beautiful. The place is spacious and clean. Loved the baby grand piano!!! Also, love the Bible verses all over.
There are only two little suggestions I would have to improve things.
1 - switch the mattresses on the bunk beds from camp mattresses to real ones. The kids were pretty uncomfortable.
2 - A small complimentary packet of coffee

Overall fantastic stay. Clean, roomy, plenty of towels and blankets. The 3 grand boys enjoyed ping pong, basketball and bunk beds. The 3 baby girls slept very comfortably in bunk beds next to the parents. Lovely bathrooms. Only hick up..grill was not in much shape to grill as expected. We substituted with very nice oven. There was a small child crying downstairs but considering we had 3 tiny cryers of our own, it was perfect. Hope our boys walking back and forth didn't disturb downstairs owners to badly. :)

We stayed there after a long day at the Ark Encounter. The house is very nice and clean with plenty of room however there aren’t places to eat nearby so best to bring your own food.
We were only there one night but it would be a nice place to stay longer at.

We stayed here because we had a family of 12. House was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a 30 minute drive to the Ark but it was worth it. The drive was beautiful and so was the property.

Kristen was very helpful and professional. She immediately responded to questions that I had concerning my stay. The house itself was super clean and organized. We had 16 people staying, and there was plenty of space for each individual. If we come back to Kentucky, we will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for a family vacay to Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Home is in a beautiful secluded area. We had 7 adults 3 children and plenty of room for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed making smores at the outdoor fire pit and playing UNO at the large dining room table. Also loved the ping pong table and movie theater popcorn popper! It was family time well spent! Highly recommend. A+++ experience!

The property was beautiful and we enjoyed that it was in a rural setting. The only thing I would comment on is the bedroom by the front door would be better with a door instead of the curtain. We could have used a couple of lamps in the living room to read by. We met the owners and they were very pleasant and made us very welcome.

My extended family came to see the ark. We needed a place to stay and found this house. It was fantastic. There were 8 of us. With four bedrooms and 2.5 baths, there was plenty of room. The house is beautiful and the views were fantastic. The furniture was comfortable and the dining room table big enough for all of us. We LOVED it and look forward to the time we can stay there again. We had questions from time to time and the host was super responsive. Overall, it was a great experience.

The host was very kind and easy to communicate with, the house is on a beautiful piece of property, organization in the house is great (labels for everything so you’re not spending extra time searching for things), lots of beds that accommodates a large group (we were 14), open floor plan that was great for a large group, and the fire pit in the backyard was the cherry on top. Definitely recommend!

Bunk beds aren’t comfortable and I’d suggest sliding/French some kind of door on the library. It is noisy for sleeping when people start getting up. The blocked off steps going down were strange for the grandkids. This is minor and the overal stay was very nice!!!

We were happy with our stay it fit our families needs. We all got a few days away together for a very rare occasion. So the cousins could play together and also visit some of the attractions nearby like the Ark encounter which was the main one. It was all just an Awesome time with our loved ones.

We enjoyed the stay. It is a two story house and the owners live on the bottom. They had a dog, which barked occasionally. On the last night/ day the Wi-Fi was turned off, we had no cellular service (Verizon) because house is in the middle of nowhere. One of the rooms doesn’t have a door or closet. Other then that the house is cozy and clean, has everything you need to stay overnight.

Beautiful home and property with plenty of privacy from surrounding homes! The home was stocked with everything we needed and the owner had spare items available if anything was forgotten. We will definitely use the home again on any future trips to the area. The Ark Encounter is just a short drive away!

We had a church group of 18 stay at this lovely house. It was absolutely perfect. Everything was extremely organized, and the house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. My only complaint is I wish we could have stayed longer.

This home was absolutely perfect for our family as we gathered for a wedding. There was plenty of rooms, beds, and space for our large group with 12 kids. We took the kids on a nature walk, roasted marshmallows, did crafts downstairs, played in the great, fenced backyard, and enjoyed many group meals. Judy was a wonderful hostess and checked in with us frequently to make sure everything was okay for us.

We had a large group ranging from 3- 75, there are plenty of beds for everyone to sleep in. Everything is labeled nicely for easy access. The owner is wonderful, she communicated with me several days prior to check-in and throughout the trip answering any questions I had. We went to the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum both are in close proximity! We loved it! Highly recommend!!

We took 6 adult kids with 12 grandkids ages 11 and under to the ARK Encounter and Creation Museum. Had an amazing time at the creation venues. But we planned to 2 full days at the VRBO too. It was a kids dream , hiking in the woods day and night , kick ball in the back yard, fires and s’mores , movies and popcorn, and games, games , games !! Lots of room to spread out

This was a perfect place for our 4 generation get together. Three families with younger children used the bedrooms in the lower level where the kids had plenty of room to play while the rest of the families had the upper level. We all enjoyed the fellowship time in the lower level with time outside in the yard. Beautiful place in back yard for taking family pictures. Everything was well organized and clearly marked. This was enjoyed by all 24 of us ranging in age 82 to a new born baby.

A group of families with kids rented this beautiful place for our Ark adventure. The basement was the perfect space for the kids and the enclosed yard. The house had everything we possibly needed. We had our own "retreat" style get a way with evening worship fire time and kids worship. It was amazing!

This property is exactly as pictured and described. It is beautiful and clean. The backyard is serene and very private. We had 3 families with 2 teens each (total of 12 people) and had more than enough room. Everything is labeled and well organized, you can tell a lot of thought was put into making it a place you will want to stay. If you stay here, do use their directions - Google Maps takes you to a field farther down the road.

Anam Cara is a large and beautiful home in a secluded woodland setting. We had plenty of room for our extended family to spread out and wonderful spaces to gather for fellowship. The owner was gracious and helpful. We highly recommend the Anam Cara experience.

The house was in a beautiful setting along a quiet country road. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped. The beds were comfortable. Our family of 21 fit nicely. We enjoyed taking our family to the Creation Museum and the Ark. The first floor was beautifully furnished with a full kitchen, dining room and living room with some 3rd generation family heirloom items. The basement was very spacious for for group meals and also had a kitchen.
We enjoyed the basement area with plenty of room for the children to play ping pong and enjoy the bookshelf full of all kinds of books. The patio was relaxing with 2 tables and chairs and a hammock swing. Both floors had a camera in the main living area. Enjoyed the stay. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

This was the most beautiful home with more than enough space for 9 adults and 10 children. My family of 5 took my mom on vacation where we stayed at this house with my 3 other siblings and their families. We had the best time! Judy thought of everything when stocking this house and it is all organized with labels so you know where everything is. She I was a great host, responding promptly to any questions we had. We hope to revisit in the future!!

My family of 20 stayed in Anam Cara to celebrate our daughter's graduation. The house was very clean. Everything was kept in great condition.
The neighborhood is very remote and very quiet. We brought a trailer which was hard to maneuver in the driveway, but possible. It was easy to contact Judy.
The Arc Encounter was a very nice day trip from Anam Cara. If you enjoy hiking, Cove Spring Park has nice trails and waterfalls. Juniper Hill Park has a nice playground and splash pad. While you're there, you can also visit the Capitol building.
The Kentucky Horse Park is 40 minutes away. Walmart is in Dry Ridge which is 22 minutes away.
We enjoyed our stay very much!
