I visited The Village in March and the Kitchen was an absolute mess. But this visit they made a new system, which worked great. So shout out for the improvement! They seem to work to improve the place bit by bit. The beds were comfy with curtains. And it is a quiet area. Nice common area. Every night they have an activity going. Pizzas, movie night, bingo. Etc.

Convenient location, can walk to the city, or you can also walk to the nearby tram station. Dorms were neat, and other guests were respectful of the space, comfortable and quiet place to have a nice rest.

Kitchen is a bit dirty.

Location was nice. Downstairs common room also was. That’s it.

Kitchen was always pretty filthy with lots of flies flying around whenever you moved anything. Showers were also pretty grim and desperately in need of cleaning regularly (there was literally an empty bottle of wine in one for a week showing no one was cleaning). Staff were non responsive on the app had to talk to them through, ignored me when asking them to speak to the drunk hostel stayers out front of the property who were shouting from 11pm until 3am on a weekday. My bed and one other did not have curtains even though curtains are in all the pictures. Lift is also out of order so you have to take the stairs every day.

Buena ubicación, ambiente tranquilo para descansar, la cama muy cómoda y toda la ropa de cama se encontraba muy limpia y de buen olor. Ofrecen actividades durante tu estadía.

Como sugerencia se podría mejorar la frecuencia en la limpieza de los baños, en general todo muy bien.

Desservi par le tram à quelques mètres de l’hostellerie, proche de la gare principale Southern cross PTV station donc peu coûteux en Uber (10$ soit 6€) Proche du centre ville à pied ou j’ai trouvé de nombreux restaurants et bar. La chambre de 4 était très bien, les draps propres, moustiquaires aux fenêtres, des prises proches du lit avec des rideaux !

Les casiers sont un peu bas donc vos gros sacs ne rentrerons pas dedans et resterons donc dehors. Pensez à prendre un cadenas en plus de ceux sur vos valises si vous voulez mettre des affaires dans les casiers sous les lits (ils sont profonds) La serviette de douche est payante (3$) avec une caution sur carte rendue à la fin. Pensez aux tongues / claquettes dans les douche et ça manque de tablette pour poser les affaires, il y’a deux crochets et avec les vêtements du jour + le pyjama + la serviette + la trousse de toilette c’est compliqué.

Good location, near to the tram stop and the Queen Elizabeth Market. The private room for 2 was comfy and clean. The share room is big and have a lot of table and chair for work or just standing there. The kitchen is full of all you need to cook but sometimes not too clean.

The facilities were comfortable but everything was too dirty, including the kitchen, the bathroom and the bedroom

Les lits ont des rideaux, chacun peut avoir son intimité, les douches sont communes (pas d'attente donc), grande salle commune, rooftop avec une super vue, beaucoup d'équipement de cuisine. Calme dans l'ensemble !

Parfois les lavabos et douches sont bouchés plusieurs jours. La cuisine où les éviers sont pleins à craqué avec le sol qui colle.

A localização e as comodidades são sensacionais. O espaço é moderno, novo e limpo. Os funcionários são uns queridos. Super recomendo.

Me pareció un lugar muy familiar, comodo, perfecto para llegar a Australia. El staff es lo maximo, amigablr y familiar. Camas comodas, baños y espacios comunes. Limpio, lo mas importante.

La cucina dopo le 20 questa volta ho proprio deciso di nn usare niente se non una tazza perché la gente è incivile lo staff cerca di tenere pulito ma purtroppo le persone sono troppe e troppo maleducate per riuscire a tenere pulito

コモンエリアが広く、賑やかで好みでした。 ホステル主催のイベントもあるようなので、友達づくりにもよさそうな印象でした。 掃除はあまり丁寧ではないですが、施設が新しいので、他のホステルに比べてきれいでした。 ベッドにカーテンが付いているのもよかったです。

キッチンが汚れていたり、散らかっていたりする…。 掃除はしてくれていますが、常に汚いです。 個人的には、混雑時を避けたり、工夫したりすれば許容範囲でした。 他のコメントにもありますが、ベッド近くにコンセントがないことが多いようです。今回のベッドは偶然コンセントが近くにあったのでラッキーでした。コモンエリアのコンセントも少ない印象でした。 シャワーやトイレは毎日清掃しているのを見ましたが、何日も同じゴミや汚れが放置されていました。 オープンしたてなのでキレイなのであって、清掃が行き届いているからきれいという感じではないです。

Saubere und moderne Badezimmer, die Schlafsäle zweckmäßig.

Es gab keine Keycards in diesem Hostel, sondern man wurde darum gebeten, eine bestimmte App hierfür runterzuladen. Total ätzend, denn das heißt, man darf nachts für die Toilette nicht mal das Zimmer ohne Handy verlassen, da sowohl das Bad als auch das Zimmer diese App zum Öffnen benötigt (alternativ gab es glaube auch einen 6-stelligen Code). Das Öffnen der Zimmertür war dann von einem Sound begleitet und sowohl die Badezimmer- als auch die Zimmertüren knallen automatisch hinter einem zu, wenn man sie nicht selbst langsam schließt (was leider die wenigsten gemacht haben…). Wir haben dementsprechend einfach sehr schlecht geschlafen. Ansonsten hätte dem Zimmer zumindest ein Hocker gut getan.

Staff was friendly.

My stuff got stolen from the fridge, my Amazon package delivered was not found by reception, the room was very noisy at night although we had a room that was further away from amenities, there is no aircon in the rooms so they heat up like crazy, we had 27°C in our room all night long. The kitchen is disgustingly dirty and the bathrooms are not properly cleaned, especially the toilets and showers are so dirty you do not want to use them. There is 90ies music I thought I banned from my memories playing 24/7. Not the best options for socializing either, since mostly Germans around 18-22 year old around who I found were not really communicative.

The hostel is new and has a great common area. I LOVED the rooftop with a view over the skyline. The rooms were big enough and clean. the location is also good and near to the city centre.

I had the top bed of the bunker bed and it was very difficult to get out of it due to the curtain pole which goes over the ladder and the poles over my top bed. The bed does also shake by the slightest movement. A power outlet and night lights at each bed would be nice (as I read in other reviews they’re working on that which is good). Kitchen was sometimes dirty, but that’s mostly up to the guests… I did not like the app as a room key, but this is my personal opinion.

Everything is new and looks nice, very modern facilities. I loved the views from the rooftop and the common area.

I didn’t understand why they close the kitchen during the night (from 10pm to 7am). The kitchen at the end of the day was a terrible mess, all people left their stuff without washing it, the bins completely full and everything quite dirty. Disgusting. The rooftop also closes early, at 10pm. What’s the purpose of needing an app to unlock even the bathroom’s door? The app is ok for the room’s door but the bathroom should be opened and more accessible. The bed didn’t have any light, shelf or plug next to it, and the room only had one multiple plug in the corner to charge your phone which I consider that is not comfortable.

Good location, modern facilities. Space for locking away your things in rooms. Not hot in room at summer night 👍. Bed frame around bed, so you can hang stuff around and have a bit of privacy. Lots of showers and toilets, you'll never ever have to wait for one. Frequent communication with guests about activities - didn't use this opportunity, but several get-together things were organized every day.

Power outlet for me was at weird location - diagonally away and high above my top bunk bed, couldn't charge my phone and use it properly at the same time. Also a small shelf, pocket or something similar would be useful for placing phone or small things. I was on top bed and had to keep my phone next to the pillow and hope I won't accidentally push it off the bed at night

Is was great will everything, the kitchen, that bedroom, showers, about absolutely beautiful!

There is nothing to fault!

l'auberge était moderne et très jolie. les espaces commun avaient des canapés, beaucoup de tables et de chaises, des prises électriques et c'était spacieux. il y avait la climatisation aussi, et on s'y sent bien

la cuisine était tellement sale, je n'avais jamais vu ça avant : la moitié de la vaisselle n'était pas lavée, les comptoirs et plaques de cuisson était immondes, avec des miettes et des morceaux de nourriture partout. le sol collait et les poubelles débordaient. les douches étaient inondées et il n'y avait pas de banc ou de rangements, donc si un habit ou la serviette tombait par terre, c'était trempé... pas du tout pratique. et pas de rangements dans la chambre non plus

Location is in North Melbourne which is a nice area with many options for food, bars, coffee, other amenities, and also public transportation. Hostel is fairly clean throughout the facilities. Nice roof area. Lounge has many seating options but gets crowded. Very kind and helpful staff. Shower and toilet usually always clean. Very good shower pressure and temperature.

Kitchen gets very crowded. Refrigerator and storage cubes gets completely packed with no room to store anything. Kitchen floor gets slippery at times. Selfish people who use kitchen and dining utensils/items but do not wash or clean after themselves. Minimal outlets for recharging devices in the main lounge area.

I enjoyed the relaxing vibe of the hostel, clean room, comfy bed, nice showers, good neighborhood, very helpful and kind staff, rooftop area to hangout, workout room, laundry, and storage.

Very crowded kitchen storage and refrigerators, slippery kitchen floors, selfish people who don't clean after themselves in the kitchen and leave dirty dishes, pots, pans, utensils in sink and counters.

Good location close to free tram, beds comfortable and lockers for bags.

Bluetooth key cards were very frustrating - taking a long time to open the doors. Not sure why the toilets needed to be locked constantly. The kitchen is no where near big enough for amount of people staying. Not enough fridge or dry space storage. Constantly dirty and bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned - hair and dirt in showers. I had to ask on several occasions for toilet roll in the stalls and staff asked me if I tried another toilet space (that’s not the point - no toilet roll in 5 different cubicles is not acceptable). Rooms never thoroughly cleaned either - smelly food and clothes left from previous travellers. Curtains in dorm were terrible - mostly broken.
