Excellent service, clean, absolutely stunning. Staff are amazing and friendly. The beach is perfect with plenty of beach chairs. The pool is clean and plenty of chairs, cabanas. Dimetre from service desk was respectful and fast to answer all our questions on checking in, Eric was very helpful to give us local information, housekeeping is outstanding. Definitely planning on going back!

The elegance of this hotel is breathtaking. While there are surely more upscale hotels in Nassau, the British Colonial is a strong competitor. I stay there for business, and its location is perfectly situated--near the airport and restaurants. Their bar and restaurants offer simple to fine dining options. Their service staff is exceptional--both professional and friendly. They will continue to be my go-to hotel for business, but for those who wish to have a resort experience, please consider them as an option.

What a gorgeously renovated hidden gem in downtown Nassau. Spacious, clean rooms with stellar views of the Caribbean. Amazing private beach that allowed you to relax from the hubbub of downtown. Water activities as part of this beach, with a beach bar - what more could you ask for. Will absolutely come back the next time I’m in Nassau.

I was told this hotel has a business center. Lie. It does not have a business center. I had to go to other hotel and pay to use a computer and printer.

Staff at this hotel were fantastic especially front desk staff Pakesia. Very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Gorgeous view from our room.

Great people everywhere. Service and friendliness was simply amazing. As a matter of fact everyone we encountered on the island was friendly. Clean rooms, good foods and private beach very relaxing.

British Colonial has a great location and beautiful private beach. I was contemplating on staying at Margaritaville or on Paradise Island, but I am so glad we didn't. We tried one day to go to the public beach which is shared with Maragaritaville and it was chaos. We just walked back to British Colonial and enjoyed a nice relaxing afternoon. The rooms are very clean with comfortable towels and linens. Being right in downtown it makes almost all attractions walkable, and it is only a few minutes cab ride to Paradise Island if you want to check out things over there. There are many places to choose from in Nassau, but the whole trip we just kept saying that we are glad we chose British Colonial due to it's great location and amenities. Keep in mind everything in Nassau closes early, so figure out your dinner plans before 5pm.The restaurant in the hotel is pricey, so it would have been nice to have a dinner option after 5pm that is more affordable.

Beautiful hotel, lots of amenities beaches, beautiful ocean activities, water activities very good pools very good. We had no television however Internet was down our TV did not work and prices for food particularly dinner very expensive.

First time there after the update. Most pleasantly impressed

Loved the place

The room and property was nice. Had to ask for the room to be cleaned daily. The restaurant service was not great. It took a long time for the waitress to come back to the table for a refill. We went to the bar ti get the refill and they made us go back to the table and wait. We went back for dinner a couple days later and we sat for quite a while and no one waited on us. There was only 3 tables with people sitting so it was not packed. Not much for entertainment. The store was completely rediculous on pricing. $40 for sunblock. Walls are thin. Heard the neighbor talking on his phone at 3 am. By the way he misses his kids. But clean room.

Great place . Service was great. The only thing I didn’t like was no free coffee.Every resort or hotel usually serves free coffee or free breakfast you have to pay for everything.

Literally the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Made me not want to go home. Will be back!

No microwave in room had to go downstairs to ask a staff to rewarm your food and they sometimes was not happy about doing it

A beautiful hotel with stunning grounds and swimming pool area . Lovely bar and entrance but let down by the family room being too small for a family of 4 and small beds as well as some issues with housekeeping needing 3 attempts to sort out pillows. Very friendly helpful staff

House keeping was very late in cleaning my room, i left at 9am and told the staff my room was available to clean, i came back at 1pm and it was still not attended to

Overall a disappointing stay despite some highlights. The lobby and main bar are spacious and well designed spaces, however rooms are small and lacking basic facilities such as a drawers, minibar, hangers or a shower curtain to stop water from the over bath shower pouring onto the floor. We also had major flooding during a storm which blew water through the locked patio door and required a wedge of towels to soak it up. Throughout the hotel service was mixed - some was excellent but other times non-existent. We raised concern with the duty manager who patronisingly sent us away despite our room not being made up two days in a row.

The beach looks out onto the main launching area for a host of gigantic cruise ships, which made me aware of my position as a modern-day “British Colonial.” The tourism industry in the Bahamas is complicated by the legacy of colonialism. The staff at the hotel were excellent, but I still felt uncomfortable being a white person touristing in the Bahamas.

Excellent, centrally located hotel for visiting Nassau. Great rates for Bahamian locals. Beautiful, intimate hotel pool.

Rooms lack basic amenities such as draws or hooks to hang towels on. The aircon is essential in the heat but the lack of ventilation in the room left everything damp and smelling including bedding and clothes. A late night rave was going on next door until 2am on a Sunday night and kept us awake.

The hotel was immaculate staff was friendly and very helpful. The pool area and the beach area were clean and staff was there to assist in every way. I would definately go back
