This is a great hotel in the city centre close to many drinking and dining options, and within easy walking distance of most of the city's attractions. My small double room was on the 3rd floor at the back of the hotel (away from the street) with a comfortable bed and a good shower over the bath. Excellent breakfast. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. However, I listed on the booking it was our anniversary and not much care was taken. The first room was ok but not cleaned properly, with hair and dust left in easy to see areas and the door handle was wabbly. We received an upgrade and the staff were lovely when we brought their attention to this. Unfortunately similar situation, handle on cupboard came off when I opened it, bathroom clean but few hairs that weren’t ours in easy to spot areas. Bed was very comfortable, bar staff fantastic and the girl at reception was lovely. Great staff but think some investment is needed in the bedrooms

We got placed in a room on top floor and there were cracks in the ceiling. We were pretty disappointed we paid $220 for one night, couldnt wait to get out of there.

The Met is a lovely old hotel! The room was great, clean and quiet. They have a nice bar/restaurent and live piano background music on our day of arrival. Easy access to the shops, food and late night music if that what you want.

We had dirty looking towels in our hotel room. Other than that, the place is good. The surrounding area is very lively.

The check- in process was easy, the front desk persons were very friendly. Just to note that this hotel doesn't have AC due to the age of the property, however fans are available of you need them. The person greeting us for breakfast was not very friendly and seemed to be upset when one of us changed the breakfast order.
