Great hospitality and service. I would recommend anyone coming to visit San Diego and wants a great deal. I was lost at first finding it, but the owner really was understanding and compensated me tremendously. I can’t wait to visit again when I have time

The staff were wonderful and other residents were quiet and respectful of the space. The photos of this hostel are very misleading though. I chose this hostel due to how clean and updated it had seemed. Our stay was two nights, in the second night we went to use the communal showers and it felt like I was in a horror movie. I was expecting to use the clean and updated showers shown in their photos, instead my options were a shower stall with no light, a shower stall with no running water, or the upstairs stall that was full of spiders and caked in dark residue. We obviously were unable to shower during our trip, this is coming from someone who has stayed in hostels before and had access to these amenities with no problem. Our room claimed to have AC, there was an AC unit in our closet but our window did not open. There was a compact window near the bed that gave us ventilation but had no screen so we inevitably had bugs in our room our entire stay. I did not expect much considering this is a hostel but I had hoped it would have Atleast been clean and not misleading. I hate having to leave a negative review considering how kind and helpful the staff were, the advertising of this place vs. the reality of the state it is in is not their fault.

When I got there I didn't realize that everyone was able to sleep together, and I was very upset with how they did not have to wear masked because of the covid 19, I had to check into another hotel. I feel that my health was compromised because of that. I asked for a refund and they refused to give it to me. I spent $68 on a coed hotel where everyone slept with everyone. I am asking how do I get my refund back?

It was very beautiful downstairs! The common room and kitchen was very nice and organized also super colorful. Went to the room and the AC was on but no air flow whatsoever. Another issue was that nobody in there had any mask on for covid and understanding that the staff had that chill vibe going on it would’ve been nice if hand sanitizer was accessible along with soap in the upstairs bathroom! The bathrooms are a completely different story! we went into the private bathroom and there was hair around the toilet underneath the seat. No toilet paper was in there also no hand soap so I can wash after. People are loud at night even though they are friendly. Earbuds are accessible. So the cons are that the room was very hot even when the ac was on due to the vents being covered in dust. The restrooms were minimal not kept in the best manners especially during covid. Cleanliness could’ve been kept better but it’s not too horrible due to it being a hostel. Pros was that besides the room and bathroom the common room and kitchen were very nice but a place to stay at for a night I wouldn’t personally do. I’d probably come during winter when I know AC would like a little help from the weather. Sometimes people seemed too “cool” to have a conversation with you but it’s no big deal to me.

This was the best hostel at a decent price. The place was clean, even the bathrooms were clean and neat, there were even free pancakes, I would book this place again.
