The room was nice and the staff were friendly but the rainfall shower head needed replaced. Half of it didnt put out water and the half that did sprayed everywhere but down. The bathroom also had a sewage smell each time you walked in.

Room was good quality, as it appeared in the photos. Staff were friendly at checkin. Bottled water provided in the fridge, free WiFi, a usb charge port on the dock for the provided tablet. Great location. The negatives are, the safe didn't work - this is a problem for me and have knocked if a star for this. Staff were not able to fix it. The bathroom was very small although the shower had good power and it was clean. There is very little storage. For hanging storage I could hang about 4 shirts. There was no cupboard or drawer storage so could no unpack my suitcase. This was ok for me as a solo traveller but if staying for a week with my wife it would be a bigger problem. It was also quite noisy from the street and maybe the restaurant beliw. I stayed on a Sunday and Monday, glad it wasn't Friday and Saturday. Overall a good hotel for the price. If the safe worked I would have given it 4 stars.

Nice hotel overlooking the Rhine. Room and bed were comfortable and food in pub next door was good (10% discount for hotel guests). Down side was that hot water took about 10 minutes to come through, meaning loads of wasted water. Also workmen repairing the walkway outside the hotel started at 6.15am using very noisy machinery!

The hotel is in a perfect location on the Rhein and near the Dom and Hauptbahnhof. It is beautifully appointed and has a good restaurant on site. The staff is outstanding and very helpful. We highly recommend it. The only negatives for us were a lack of hot water in our shower in our second room and a cancellation problem because we booked through Hotels.com and missed the cx date.

I was only staying for one night and wanted to take a shower, but they didn't have hot water. I believe hot water is a basic amenity expected in any hotel. Disappointingly, the staff didn't inform us about the issue beforehand, despite knowing it would take a long time to fix. I was extremely frustrated and disappointed. I complained to the hotel management, but they only apologized and offered a 30% refund.

Our room was 310 at the front of the hotel however the lift only goes to the 4th or the 2nd floor (3rd if you are at the back of the hotel) so you have to walk and carry suitcases up or down a floor to get to your room. The room was compact to say the least, good job we didn’t have a cat. One side of the bed was up against the wall so you had to climb out of bed to the bathroom. The bathroom was very small but nice shower. No bar or restaurant in the hotel but you could use the bar/restaurant next door and get 10% discount (there is a big sign saying this) however the restaurant staff have other ideas. Even though I pointed this out he would not give us the 10% off I went to reception and spoke to the guy on the desk he went and spoke to the waiter he still was not having it. They tried to come up with ways to make the bill to what he said but could not, in the end they gave up and give me my money. The car parking is about 300m away over well spaced out cobblestones so if you have heavy cases be aware. This is not some where I would ever stay again be warned.

This is a very nice hotel right on the river in the heart of Cologne. We had an apartment for two kids and two adults, and we could have had four kids there such was the space available. Friendly staff and very nice and spacious rooms.

The property is in the heart of Cologne old town with beautiful views of Rhine river, beautiful cathedral and bridge. The location is very convenient with walking distance to Cologne Cathedral and the main train station. The property is clean, staff is courteous; yet it was a bit confusing that the hotel is no longer offer onsite breakfast; we were instructed to another location with some credits; we were opt for getting breakfast on our own. Overall, it is a fine place to stay.

The room is small but good for short stays. The mattress is not very comfortable. The location is great. The room service is horrible, even with a do not disturb sign. They came into the room while I was sleeping. On the last day, the card machine was broken and I had to pay in cash. The receptionists generally stay on their phones all day and do not care about the guests.

Hotel is in a great location but is between 2 joined buildings which can be confusing when trying to find your room. Within 10 minutes walking distance of the Köln Central Station, Lindtt Museum and 2 relaxed squares filled with restaurants and bars. The hotel rooms are modern but the rest of the hotel is very outdated. TV in the bedroom can not be changed from German audio/subtitles which makes it pointless to have for anybody who does not speak German. In the room there is a fridge and safe which are both free to use which is a plus. We had 2 instances of hotel staff just walking into our room (once while sleeping so didn’t hear them knock) and once while getting dressed (they didn’t knock on this occasion). This made my Mrs feel uncomfortable and on edge whenever we were in the room. Free pastries and coffee is available for all guests between 7am - 9:30am. Area the hotel is in is very expensive €7 for a small (400ml) draught coke) and €4.50 for a small (250ml) water.

Fantastic location. We were able to see all the things we wanted within walking distance. Loved our view.
