This property made me feel like I was in Hawaii , It is so stunning that it took my breath away. It looks beautiful in the pictures but in person it’s something else, Simply spectacular. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and happy . I would stay here over and over again. Our bungalow was beautiful, Amazing resort

My fiancé and I decided to take a last minute get away to Costa Rica. We decided to stay on the volcano and chose Lomas del Volcan as our resort. The beauty of this place is unmatched! We stayed in a deluxe bungalow and waking up to the volcano view every morning was mind blowing. The staff here were so kind and accommodating, the servers and bartenders made our week long stay that much more enjoyable. The food in the restaurants is delicious and affordable. The swim up bar is a really nice luxury that we were very happy to be able to utilize. Overall, I would recommend staying here if you have the chance!

There was no hot water when we first got there on night 3 the AC stopped called three times and they came to fix it which it stopped working minutes later. Left a day early and they wouldn’t even refund us for inconveniences

Our stay was excellent. I was celebrating my 55th birthday and 35 wedding anniversary. Our room was unexpectedly decorated with flowers and balloons, not for getting the strawberries covered with chocolate. It couldn't get better that that. Thank you all very much!!❤️

Rooms are dated (dark wooden trim circa 1992), but the grounds are beautiful. We really enjoyed the heated pool and the bar. All the personnel was kind and helpful. Breakfast was really good. Having 2 restaurants on premises was very convenient. Annoying towel/card trade practice. Overall would stay there again. Just don’t expect ultra luxurious retreat.

Liked: The swimming pools restaurant (included breakfast) and the grounds were top notch. Really great. Can't say enough about this part. Worth the price. Disliked: This hotel seems to be updating the cabanas. Most of them seem updated. For some reason, we got one that was not updated. The bathroom had a strong musty/moldy odor. We opened the bathroom window and kept it open and the smell was tolerable for our short stay. At night my daughter and I chased a couple of cockroaches into the seam where the floor meets the wall. We plugged the hole with a plastic knife, so hopefully the problem is gone for the next guest. It helps to have a sense of humor for this hotel because at the front desk they are very serious about rules and towel passes and hours of operation of the spa etc. and then you finally open the door to the cabana and it resembles the Wisconsin Dells circa 1992. Not terrible, but I can't give this aspect more than 3 stars.

Keep you eyes open for wild life, it's everywhere. From insects, birds, monkeys, toucans, ect. The rooms were great and clean. Beds and pillows are comfortable. There's a fridge, full length mirror, steam iron, espresso maker, and a shower that fits 10 people. You'll sleep peacefully with soothing sounds of rain and nature. Oh and for those with an Ev. There's 1 level 2 charger

It was a beautiful property that had an amazing view of the arenas volcano (when the fog let up) Plenty of things to do around the area within a short 30 minut drive and a ton of restaurants in just 10 min They provided transportation for $6 each way but Uber is also available!

This hotel was absolutely insane! We love everything about it, bungalows, pool, restaurant and staff were awesome. We stayed there for 4 nights, and wish it would have been longer. We felt very safe, staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing I have to say is everything (restaurant, bar, etc) is overpriced due to the location (you can’t walk to the grocery store, you need a car or a taxi). Even though I’m saying this, this resort was more than perfect and I wish the rest of my trip in Costa Rica was here. Thanks for everything!
