Convenient location. Walkable to VA Tech campus. Good breakfast included. Clean, spacious room. My main complaint is that the room thermostats didn't control the temperature. The hallway was nice and cool. Our room was 74F, despite using the AC on its coolest setting. Several other guests on the 3rd floor had their doors propped open, in an effort to cool their rooms. It was too warm to sleep comfortably.

I was transferring here from a more "upscale" hotel because I had to extend my stay unexpectedly. This hotel blew the other one away! I will be seeking this one out first from now on. Excellent experience!

Horrible! No housekeeping for a five night stay. We asked several times and still no cleaning, picking up old towels, refilling soaps. I would ask and towels would be delivered but zero cleaning. And I should NOT have to ask for towels everyday. Ridiculous.

I recently enjoyed a delightful 6-night stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Blacksburg-University, and I must commend the exceptional breakfast kitchen staff for making my mornings truly wonderful. A special thank you to Carlos, Lady, and Pila for their outstanding service and hospitality.
Carlos, in particular, went above and beyond to assist me with the waffle toaster every morning. Despite the toaster being a bit old and tricky to operate, Carlos was always there with a friendly smile, ready to help me turn my waffles to perfection.
Pila and Lady were consistently prompt in cleaning the tables both before and after use. Their diligence and cheerful demeanor added to the pleasant atmosphere of the breakfast area. Their efforts ensured that the dining space was always clean and inviting.
The entire team was incredibly friendly and consistently willing to help with any request. They kept the breakfast area immaculate and well-organized, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests.
