Location was perfect for visiting my daughter who is just off campus and for getting downtown. A whole beautiful variety of Christmas trees put up by local businesses were on display. It was very festive and a nice place to take family pictures. Reasonable cost during Thanksgiving break too!

Not sure why we were in the basement as the place wasn’t full.

The supposed heated buffet meal was cold. When we asked for a fresh serving dish they brought out an entire platter of more not warm eggs and bacon. This 10 minutes before closing so that entire container was being tossed out after we left. It would have been better to just cook us up a few scrambled eggs and bacon that was hot rather than the entire changing dish that barely warm and was going to be tossed. That was sad to see all of that food being thrown out!

Breakfast buffet was outstanding, as was everything else.

The price for one night jacked up for parents moving in students (all hotels in area did this and I think it is ridiculous considering the amount we have to pay for tuition)!

The location was central to campus. We enjoyed a beautiful walk to the duck pond on campus. Also, just across the street there were many food options, and we were within driving distance to some great shopping.

Broken bathroom light switch was repaired promptly and without even having to report it.

Laundry is very important for a family trip.

We have 6 large luggages and our room was at the very end of aisle .Can’t find any carts for use. Maybe they were in use.

Beautiful facility right on the VaTech Tech Campus. The staff was very professional and helpful. The facilities and property were beautiful. We were moving our daughter into her new apartment downtown during the Stepping Out festival. Bad timing. The Manager allowed us to borrow one of the luggage carts for a few hours to help move her belongings through the crowd from a nearby parking lot. It was a tremendous help. I really appreciated their flexibility and generosity. It saved us hours of work.

The only thing I wished was that there was a microwave in the room

We thought it was nice to stay at a hotel on VTech campus itself since we were visiting and checking the school out. However, we realized that there were a few other hotels across the main campus that cost about the same as what we paid for here and would have also provided the same convenience and met our needs in getting to know the campus and Blackburg.

The hotel staff were least friendly of all. We do not look up to greet guests. We walked by the same people for 5 days and never once did anyone look up to greet us. We had a room on the first floor. The air-condition and refrigerator were noisy. My children and I were kept awake by the noise. 2 light bulbs in the bathroom were also not working. The room was gloomy, carpet looked dirty. Our room was not cleaned even though we did not hang out the DND sign.
