Stayed three nights in a Club Room. Wonderful view from the room, very clean and the staff at the hotel is very helpful and friendly. We came to enjoy the beach and to have some peace and quiet outside busy Dubai - But unfortunately the constant noise from loud music around the pool all day and late into the night (which You can hear in your Room when having an Ocean view) makes you have a constant headache and does not make it easy to fully relax. We will not be returning because of the noise. It’s more of a family hotel. They do not really cater that well to adults. The adult pool area is very small. The beach is wonderful though.

You get what you pay for. If you're trying to remain cheap and penny smart better off staying somewhere not on the palm. You do get free water bottles in your rooms and by the pool, otherwise you pay for your drinks and food. This is not a complaint, I expected to pay for more wants and needs. It's just a response to the negative reviews. Anyway, my stay at Waldorf was wonderful, the staff are so polite and courteous. They were always ready to help no matter what the time. I believe you'll really be grateful for your stay if you are there with your children, the staff by the pool are so amazing. Not a single negative comment about the staff, the best ! Just some advise if you come along with some fussy eaters (the kids) prepare yourself for trial and errors because as good as the food is for breakfast, my kids struggled to eat porridge made by someone other than me, they also struggled with the texture of the bread, but this is obviously because our domestic produce is probably imported and made differently to Dubai's produce. But not to worry the children will eventually eat something. It would also be nice if they had a microwave in the rooms, as one of my kids loves a warm cup of milk before bed (but the exact temperature is something only mum knows). Thank you, for a lovely sunny break from the rain we're used to in Britain!

The hotel is amazing quiet just how we like it not too busy. Would have loved a few more things to do in the evening due to location. Pool table a few more amenities in evening would be a good extra rating. Staff we great. Only slight criticism would be it too long for the drinks to arrive after ordering, and the evening canapés were very repetitive. They were amazing with a birthday for one of the member of the family and also I had asked for something that wasn’t in the menu for my son and they had arranged for it without any fuss. Other than that it was a great holiday.

We were quite excited to stay at this property, however it didn't quite live up to the standard as The Waldorf Astoria. The location was lovely, the room was very large and the view was exceptional - seaview, looking out to the Burj Al Arab. The lobby and the communal areas was also impressive. The drive up to the hotel was extremely disappointing... we were expecting a more luxury front... The room furnishings looked quite exhausted and dated. The most notable thing was the lack of urgency from the staff. As lovely and professional as they were, service in all departments was extremely slow. Whether we called room service, housekeeping or the concierge, there was always a long wait to deliver. The day we were departing for the airport we had to bring down our own bags as we waited over 20 minutes for someone to help us - and that was at 5am! Overall the stay was underwhelming, sadly.

This hotel has not a high standard when it comes to service. Staff are unorganized and not service minded at all. The first room we got smelled smoked even though it was supposed to be non smoking room. So we had to change room in the middle of the night due to this and the new room we got smelled musty. So we har to change rooms a third time. At check out, the management argued with us over 20 min when we told them they charged one meal too much. It was their mistake and instead of apologizing for their mistake, we had to describe which waitress that had taken care of us so they could double check the facts. Horrible experience and this Waldorf is nothing like the real Waldorf Astoria in LA.
