When we arrive we had a room in the back that had an odd layout. We asked to switch but we're told the hotel was at full capacity. They offered a complimentary breakfast, but the restaurant was terribly understaffed so we were told to wait an hour. Seema like overall they need better management.

Clean room for 1night. Pet friendly and I’m allergic to the dander. Great if you’re traveling with a pet. Bathroom door would not close it would slide to the middle on it’s own. Good location close to restaurants and highway. Does have a rooftop bar which is nice.

Check in was a breeze and staff very friendly. Valet parking super convenient. Room was clean and bed was so comfortable!

It’s a good hotel. If you are used to staying in upper end hotels it’s a good option. Nothing spectacular, solid choice though!

we loved the valet! the crew was super friendly and quick. i that it was uuunique how we got personal text messages about if we needed anything an how it was brought to ouur room for us. one thing that was unfortunate. was we called the rooftop restaurant to place an order and no one answered. both times we called. its okay though because they were probably very busy.

We arrived @2:30 or so and were told our room would be ready in 30 minutes. We checked back @3:30 and it still was not ready - we finally were able to check in @4:30. We waited up at the rooftop bar which was very nice with great service. Hotel is in a great location - walkable to many restaurants, bars, the river, the lake, etc. Room was nice and clean and comfortable, but still not sure why it was priced at over $400 as it was not anything special really.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the Journeyman. The hotel is stylish, relaxing, clean and in a great walkable location. The beds are cozy, and room was quiet and comfortable.

Beware when checking in. Desk people assign poor rooms first when better ones are available. AVOID room 334. It’s located right next to a large AC unit. The AC unit blocks all outside views and makes constant noise.

We have stayed at the Kimpton Journeyman a few times and this is our favorite hotel in Milwaukee!! Great location, kind staff and comfortable beds. Highly recommend staying here when you are in Milwaukee.

It's a very nice hotel for the $200 range in the area. Unfortunately we were gouged for $500 because of Summerfest. Make hay while the sun shines I guess. It wasn't a $500 hotel experience. The carpets are worn in the hallways and there were other minor things. The location is perfect for anything in 3rd Ward and again I don't want to sound negative, it was fine just no value.

Friendly and helpful staff from the front desk to housekeeping and valet. Hotel was clean (other than the drawer with unused condoms found - someone skipped checking all the drawers!) Hotel could use a little modernizing, but very nice stay overall.

The staff really were intent on making my visit pleasant. They made wonderful recommendations about nearby shops and places to walk. Location of the hotel can't be beat. My room was reasonably spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
